Steve any more news of your dog? I live in Bonnybridge and I've bumped in to a guy with a similar dog to yours along the canal bank although I can't really differentiate between these types of breeds.
steve
is there any chance you could tell me what time of day you see her the most, does she look like my dog..... thanks for getting in touch

Hello, there is a female brindle dog running about The Meadows in Edinburgh. She has been running about since late last year (That is when I spotted her anyway) She is smooth coated and wearing a pink coller, very scared and I can not catch her. Edinburgh council unhelpful and SSPCA are calling me back after hassling them to do so. I have also contacted the owners of the other brindle dogs on this site.

I was looking on the Dogs Trust website & found this wee girl - http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/milly1057454.aspx Again I know it says Bullmastiff but does look quite similar. Have texted owner.

**UPDATE** Sadly it's not Nika, the owners have already been to Dogs Trust to see that one, as they are very similar. :-( Last edited: 2011-01-01 15:58:56 by Smiler

The found ones seem to be all male ones and Nika is female.

This is the link, but the picture of the dog looks too dark for Nika and also smaller.Could be just the photo though, as it is hard to tell from a photo.Last edited: 2010-12-31 18:29:20 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

2 dogs picked up by Sspca.....look at their website under "news". Not in your area, and hey say the dog is a mastiff, but looks similar to your dog....might be worth checking out?

i have strong reason to believe that nika's case might have more to it than originally thought if what i believe to be true nika could be anywhere.
ive heard that this is not the first time the dog walker has "lost" a dog
steve
from what ive been told nika went missing dwn the carron close to the sports complex
i was on holiday and she was being looked after by a dog walker
this is the only information i have ive tried every avenue possible

I have spoken to Nika's owners a few times recently. Sorry, should have updated this.

Text sent for update. Sadly Nika is still missing, owners have had a few calls but unfortunately they have not lead to anything.

Emailed advice, meanwhile please contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
