Email from Molly's owner.----------- I would like to thank Sable, the lady from Sheffield and Wendy for all your help and advice, I am sure that the posters made Molly very hot and I hope you all know she was found tied up in the same park on Monday morning. Many thanks Glyn

Great news about Molly, I am so glad to hear she has been reunited with her owner! I have heard many horror stories about Norwood Park whether it be dog knappings or dog attacks, I won't walk my dogs there a much safer park is Norwood Grove, take care :)
Millys Mum
Just phoned Woodlands with the good news - they were delighted to hear that Molly was back home safe and sound.

I have some really good news - Molly is home and it was all down to the posters. Molly's owner put up posters yesterday and delivered some to local properties. Whilst owner was in work today, a note was posted through his door. Molly had been found tied up this morning in the same park where she was stolen from. Molly's owner wanted to say thank you for our quick response, for getting the posters to him and for everyones help and concern. All that is left to say is WELCOME HOME Molly and, in future, stay close... x

The ever helpful and caring Woodlands Kennels have just returned my call (thanks Kim!). She confirmed that Moly's worried owner had already spoken to them this morning, as per my suggestion, and that they will be keeping an eye out. Thank you Woodlands! Baggy Dog - in answer to your suggestion about the good ol' News Shopper, Molly's owner said it didn't cover that area. I shall have to ask what their local freebie is called. Just off to work now although I'm contactable on my mobile if need be. Fingers crossed for this lovely young girlie.Last edited: 2010-08-23 21:32:24 by Millys Mum

Ellejay - are you around to help/support Molly's owner? Have sent you an email and left a message on your landline.

Thanks Lisa & Baggy Dog! I've just left a message for Brady & Team at Woodlands Kennels asking that they check out Molly's page and keep an eye out for her. I also contacted Shogun's 'family' yesterday (he went missing from Crystal Palace in July 09 and reunited shortly afterwards - 'found' in New Cross!). I have given them owner's contact numbers. I have also left a message on the answerphone of Lewisham's Animal Welfare Officers just in case she heads their way.

Sorry to hear about Molly. Suggest local newspaper ads would be good (News Shopper ads have been good at bringing stolen dogs back home in this area but not sure if NS is also in your area? I'll print out a poster for the Last Chance shop in Bromley - they get lots of dog lovers in there. The more posters the better. Good luck, hope she's home soon.

Thanks Sable, Wickedweims & Scarlet. I've also spoken to Molly's owner who is grateful for our help. He's about to set off and poster like mad! I've given him some contact numbers and he will call me later when he returns from postering. Do we have any Helpers that way who can help poster as we need to make Molly the best known and hottest girl in town.

I'm so sorry to hear that Molly is missing. I'm quite close by in Beckenham and so will call you with relevant contact numbers and advice. In the meantime make sure you call both Lewisham's Animal Welfare officers (based at Ladywell) on 8314 2098. Their out-of-hours contact number is 020 8314 6000 and Bromley Council's contracted-out dog warden service (SDK Environmental) on 01753 538 819. Also, make sure that Battersea Dogs Home is aware that Molly is missing and check that her microchip details are up-to-date and that the microchip company are aware of her missing status. I will also pass the word around locally including contacts at 'my' agility classes (unless she's been found in the meantime). Can we have a photo please as I suspect that Molly will have very distinctive individual Border Collie markings which should then help others to look out for her.
