I've just heard that Ella now has a FOREVER LOVING HOME with a couple who ADORE animals. She's very close to where she was found and is a happy happy girl. Great outcome. My son knows the people who are honoured to have her and he'll be visiting her soon :o) x

Wonderful...she looks so much better. Keep going little Ella you are obviously a strong little girl. Thank you for the update.
Spindle
As promised I have now put updated photo on of little Ella. Tthank you everyone who donated to our Lloyds account for her care. We have now closed the account and a cheque for £363 has been sent to the rescue centre. The media have raised lots of money for her too. Will continue to update her page when I have more news. Anyone still wishing to donate for her can do so by sending cheque made payable to Llys Nini Animal Rescue Centre, at Penllergaer, Swansea. SA4 1WB.

So pleased she is making progress and still wagging her tail. Thank you for the update...

So pleased to have some more positive news about Ella. She is one special little lady and worth every penny thats being spent on her. Thanks so much for updating on her. marion
Spindle
Updating on Ella so all those kind people watching her page know. She is doing very well, biopsies taken are still saying it is caustic burns. She is regularly at vets and also now with opthalmic appointments to improve her sight. She is still wagging her tail and an absolute joy of a dog. We are not sure she will regrow hair and still has a very long way to go. Would like to thank all that have donated to her cause. Will hopefully have an "on the mend" photo very soon to put on our site. She is in the most wonderful hands. Publicity has been huge on this little one, so thanks to media too.
littlehelper
still thinking about you baby and praying you are not in pain, get well soon xx

Think about you each day little one. Hope you're progressing steadily.

I looked at the newspaper report and the photo...!!! Poor poor little girl. The pain she experienced must have been excrutiating. What a stoic little girl and still wagging her tail. Keep progressing little one...always in my thoughts.

Still sending little Ella healing thoughts. Get well little one..you're safe now.
Spindle
This little one (Ella as she is now known) is improving slowly. She is still undergoing regular vet treatment and also seeing an opthalmic specialist. Will update when I know more.
happy dog
Thanks for the update. Glad she's holding her own and that she's still wagging her tail after this awful injury, sound like she's a tough little cookie. I hope that the next update will bring some positve news about her eyes.
Spindle
This little one is holding her own. Still undergoing vetinary treatment every other day, still wagging her tail. Main worry is her eyes at the moment. Will update when I know more.
Teddys Mum - Area Volunteer, West London
My heart bleeds for this little one. I do hope she is making some progress. Any updates on her progress?

Can't stop thinking about this poor girl. Lots of love and get well wishes winging their way to her from Berkshire.
DogLostShelties Mum - Area Volunteer, Kent
I agree with CJ, it doesn't matter where she's being looked after. All she needs now are oceans of love and gentle kisses and a top vet which she now has looking after her. It's really nice that everyone's so concerned and she has so many willing her back to good health. All we want are occasional progress updates. My prayers that she retains some sight. Such a lovely looking girl. xxx

We will try to keep this page updated as often as we can and thank everyone for their offers of help and concern. This little lady is being cared for by a very experienced foster lady and apart from one person NONE of us know the location of this dog. Whilst we understand peoples concerns i do not think it at all necessary to know where this dog is other than the fact she is being well cared for. An account has been set up specially for her vet bills and we offer a few methods to donate. We have had a number of calls at HQ asking for the location which we have been asked not to divulge and so are abiding by these wishes. therfore i would ask that calls to HQ about this dog are not made as they block the line from a distressed owner trying to reach us for help. I hope you all understand. thank you
Gremlin
oh my god, this poor poor girl. Huge thankyous to the rescue and the fosterers. Hope the road to recovery is one full of love and hope this girl never has to meet whoever did this to her. can't make a transfer work it says the account name is too long and can't find account details, and that's from a tsb account! useless. who do paypal payments need to go toLast edited: 2010-08-28 23:02:36 by Gremlin

Powerful Spiritual Healing is being sent to this little Welsh girl.
DogLostAngus
Thank you everyone for your kind comments regarding this poor little soul, It is the first time that I have been reduced immediately to tears when I opened the pictures showing her injuries & I know that Spindle was the same - we have to appriciate that we have many helpers spread across all ages from young children to helpers in their 90's for that reason alone we made the decision not to show the damage to her face. We are all hoping and praying that she will make a recovery - if anyone can send some Reike healing thoughts for her I think they would be appricated. Her foster parents have our upmost admiration for the long haul towards her recovery. To everyone who is trying to raise funds for her treatment a BIG THANK YOU - link to payment information is in earlier post by myself and CJ
the sheltie lady
This poor girl is actually believed to be a sheltie cross - she has been featured in our local Evening Post, who have also highlighted her plight and the fund raising. They have also published the pics of her injuries - absolutely unbelievable !! Brought me to tears. Very good idea of Doglost NOT to show full pic on here .

Poor girl, everything that can be done is being done for her. Thanks so much for the donations so far, which she is going to need to help get her through this terrible ordeal.
CP
Thank you Spindle and Angus for such caring and understanding updates on 25/8 and 27/8. Not only do you have the welfare of our beloved dogs at heart in such appalling circumstances, but you also show concern for your helpers in wishing to avoid their distress; thank you. Your recent thread, Spindle, 27/8 is very comforting.

RE DONATIONS. Just to clarify. You can pay direct via internet banking using details above. You can go into any LLoyds TSB with CASH and they will accept a deposit using above details. If you wish to use your own bank then they should be able to use any debit cards you have with them and then send via credit transfer using the details as above. If needed the branch is Maidstone week street . If you wish to use PAYPAL please amke sure that you put on donation WELSH COLLIE or there is no way of knowing if these funds are for this dog or a normal donation. All donations will go direct to paying the vets bills. if any one is making collections via there own web sites it would be best to direct anyone to the account set up for this purpose- this helps to keep a better control of what funds are coming in and we can up date on her page what funds are needed CJ

Please could you send me details via email address to send a cheque to help, I went into TSB and was told I had to pay cash as they could not take from my Barclays Switch card, was not happy. Thanks Anna

This little one is in media tonight. As previously stated if your wish to donate to Doglost towards the vet bills you can do this either on internet banking or go into a Lloyds TSB and fill in form. Details are: Lloyds TSB - Acccount Sort Code: 30 95 37 Account No. 31140560 Account Name: DL Emergency Funding She is in safe, loving hands and at the request of her foster parent who are providing her with 24 hours care and attention we will not be divulging her whereabouts at this time. A different home or rescue place would not be in her best interest for the time being. Please rest assured , she is safe. comfortable and loved where she is.

Looking at the photo and learning that the burns are evenly distributed not random (as throwing chemical in her face), makes me think she has put her muzzle/face in a bucket/bowl of something chemical which has burned her face. Does anyone know what the vet's diagnosis/prognosis is? Valerie

I have added the picture but I have blurred her face so as not to distress our helpers. She is very tiny, less that 10kg in weight. We will be starting an appeal to help with her vetinary care - please wait for details to be posted on this thread.
Spindle
this poor little one collapsed on a drive and thanks to a wonderful rescue then spent the night on a drip at vets. She has acid burns on her face that was done around 5-7 days ago. She is undergoing very intense medical treatment and has a long road to travel. Probably lost sight of one eye and partial of other. Photo will go on here that has been edited to save distress. Will post on here tomorrow where anyone can donate if they want to.
