- Although very glad Indie is safe and well, I was disappointed to see that there is no mention, or thanks to the persons who got hurt delivering Indie's safe return to her breeder. After all, a dog bite to the face incurring 13 stitches is not something that should be ignored, like such "reward" that has also not been mentioned since her safe return - not that that matters to the people that rallied round to help - a simple thanks and concern for the injured would have been sufficient!

- Indie has had her vet check an she is ok physically except for being thin and extremely sore pads. She's very traumatised and cries if her Mom moves from her at the moment so will be getting lots of tlc. Her owner is just grateful that she is unharmed and safe now XX

- Indie has been sighted today by her owner but unfortunately she ran away. It appears that she's moving between two farms with lots of places to shelter and hide out. She has taken food that has been left for her and owner and helpers are setting up two feeding stations for her and hopefully an open barn for her to go in. Fingers crossed this lovely girl will be back with her owners very soon.

- Thanks Moose's Mum. Don't ever give up hope. A little dog on this site dog was returned to his owner after 4 years, just the other day, due to his microchip.

- Have emailed advice. Sorry to hear that Indie is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. As soon as a photo is added mailings will be sent out to all local helpers who will help in the search for your dog. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
