I have been in contact with peartbrooklass who was the original owner of Ebony. She is absolutly heartbroken at the outcome but wishes to thank everyone for their kind messages and for the help and support from Doglost while Ebony was missing.

I am so sorry to have to report that Ebony is at the Bridge. Friends of the owner have been helping search for her and were told this morning that when spooked by cows in the field that she was in she ran onto the railway line and was hit by a train.

Ebony is still in the Wool area this evening,she was seen by workmen close to the railway but heading back towards the town.

Ebony was seen in Wool at about mid-day today; she was between the river and the railway. Sadly we missed her by about 15 minutes! Quite a few locals had seen her earlier,hopefully she may stay in the area.

Advised owners to get posters up in all dog walking areas, shops and garage. For those with who know the area Ebony was seen yesterday in fields at Woodbury Hill, heading towards Bloxworth.

Ahh bless her..this is just like Casper..he is missing & just rehomed..he not know the area as well as Ebony..poor soul..all paws crossed to get her back home safe..!!! xx

I have just spoken to Ebony's original owner and have sent similar photos for her to choose for the poster as there are no recent ones of her available. Ebony ran off in Wareham Forest which is a huge area. Police and dog wardens aware.
