What a Gorgeous Boy, so glad he is now safe and sound. Yep deffo get him a tag on his collar, preferably without his name, just your phone number, mob No, and your address. What a nice person to report him straight away, he is a stunning looking dog so very lucky. x

Hello all the wonderful & dedicated workers at doglost.co.uk. I'm so happy that my dog was returned safe and sound. A huge thanks for being so quick and efficient with helping me and thank God for the Croydon DW and the person who found my Dog and called them last night. Geordie is asleep in his bed now resting (after a long night) :) :) He will definetly be getting a tagged collar as a welcome home present. xxx

So pleased to hear that Geordie is back home safe and sound and so a huge THANK YOU & WELL DONE to the wonderful, caring and dedicated Croydon Dog Wardens!!! Although it was reassuring to know that this handsome boy was chipped, can he PLEASE have a ID tag on his collar as a welcome home present as you really cannot be too careful these days?!

Have emailed advice. Sorry to hear that Geordie is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. If you have a picture of your dog, please upload one to the Doglost site, (if it hasn’t been done already) by clicking on “update details” on your dog’s page. Browse for the picture on your PC, add it and then click “update”. You must be logged in to Doglost to do this. Alternatively, email a picture to admin@doglost.co.uk giving your dog’s ID number, or name and postcode, and someone will upload it for you. As soon as a photo is added mailings will be sent out to all local helpers who will help in the search for your dog. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
