Spoken to owner and given local advice, will also email further info/advice for the area. Owner is going to try and send more photo/s but they are not as recent as the one already on site. Star went missing while on a walk approx 15 minutes from home. Leigh Cats & Dog's Home have been contacted (this is where she will go if picked up in the area). Will do various size posters a.s.a.p. Owner does not have a printer but will try and see if someone else can print them off. Fingers crossed Star is found soon. Jan x

Have emailed advice to you Louise. Sorry to hear that Star is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. As soon as a photo is added mailings will be sent out to all local helpers who will help in the search for your dog. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
