So pleased that Ruby is now safe and settled in a nice and peaceful home. How people can mistreat such wonderful faithful animals is beyond me and makes me so angry. I do so feel for her origonal owners, it must be heart wrenching. However at least they know she is safe and going to have a happy quiet life which is apparently 'just what the doctor orderd'! Stay safe now Dear Ruby!!
Unknown
Pleased at least you know that Ruby is safe now. Presume she was stolen in 2010? I know the decision to rehome an animal is not easy having myself been through it with a dog. The new owners sent us some photos, and we knew it was best for the dog at the time. Sorry Ruby is not well, sending her healing vibes, and hope she has a great life in her forever home.
lesleyjane
At least the owners know she is safe, totally understand their decision and happy that Ruby has a loving home for the rest of her days. Poor girl, wonder what she has been through?
Tobys Mum
As far as I understood mathers22 she has been missing since 2010 and not found until now. Delighted that the found dog was her, been waiting with fingers crossed. So glad that the lovely lady who is rehoming her has offered to send photo's and updates.....hopefully some reassurance for her owners xx
mathers22
Is the bottom photo the one when she went missing in 2010 and the top one the one when she went missing this time ?
mathers22
Whatever outcome is the best for Ruby's welfare I will go with it 100%. Really hope Ruby is happy in her new quiet home - maybe she got lucky this time. Hope so xx

I am switching Ruby over to reunited as the found dog is her.
Ruby's family have had to make the hard decision not to have her back as she has not been well treated in the years that she has been away from the family, they and the kennels have both thought that if Ruby was to go back into a busy home/family life this will distress her even more. However a lady with a very peaceful house has offered Ruby a forever home and has kindly offered to send letters and photos regularly !!
mathers22
I hope this isn't going to turn out a carbon copy of Ruby the stolen Bulldog xx

hi it is now ruby's 11th day away from home and we r still no closer to being reunited we r still searching till all hours and r NOT giving up and r just as desperaste for any news of her.. my son is heartbroken and is not sleeping well just keeps crying for his ruby :( a piece went into the local paper this friday but as yet not had much responce .......
Jo Peachey
So sorry to hear she is still missing. If she has strayed in to the mid suffolk area, all dogs picked up from the dog warden are only taken to Worlds End Kennels, Buxhall. We went through this terrible process in May, hence Ive found all the short cuts! The woman at Worlds End is lovely and will tell you if Ruby is there. Also phone Dogs trust at Snetterton, less helpful but be persistent! Ive seen your posters, all the vets in diss were great and put up posters in their waiting rooms. Diss express will do a small piece free of charge if you ask and provide a photo. Good Luck Last edited: 2010-09-22 18:54:52 by Jo Peachey

thank you golden 1989 we have been looking all day for her today the more people looking the better .....if u r only 6 miles from us u will be aware of palgrave and stuston which are to areas she has been reported to have been seen ...although we have had no sightings of her today :(
golden1989
I live 6 miles from Diss, and will be going in on Monday morning, will keep my eys open and tell friends, I am a micro chip implanter, and carry my scanner and a lead in the car, sadly I see Ruby is not chipped, hope she is soon found X
zara76
thank u Jo my husband is going down to Quinces kennels now thank u all so much x
Jo Peachey
South norfolk council publish a list of dogs found on their web site - type in dog warden in the search box and then down to lost/stray dogs. Ive had a look and shes not on there. However, I understand that some dogs when found by dog warden are taken to Quinces kennels on the Heywood - might be worth a trip up there to have a look. Will keep a look out and alert my friends accordingly. She is a large dog which is easier to spot on the stubble/fields. Hope you are successful.

Ruby has managed to get out of the garden when the fence blew down on Friday, there's been no sign of her despite massive searching. There is a chance she has been picked up but her owners have been told there is no way they can find out if she is one of the dogs that has been picked up until Monday!!!! Will email all the usual information and notify everybody as usual and hope that tomorrow morning finds her home with her family! x
Auntie Katie
Will call in the morning.
