Dog found.
We have found a dog in our field at Lyeway Farm, not sure on the breed but it's the same size as a retriever and white with a rough coat. It also has a multi-coloured collar. If you have lost a dog then please call Peter Wilson on 07850 340422. - 2015-05-21 21:31 3labs
- Thinking of you. Such a long time to be without him. I do hope that one day you will be reunited or at least hear news of George. He's a very handsome boy.

- George still missing after four and a half years. We haven't given up hope that one day he will be scanned and at the very least we will find out what has happened to him. We would welcome him home. Compulsory microchipping uselss unless compulsory scanning is implemented.

- Thanks for the reference, dog warden says this dog is almost white colour and 100% sure its not microchipped.
George remains missing. Dog theft in the area seems rife and the police do nothing. - 2012-05-11 15:25 Scruffpot

- Still no news. have commenced a poster campaign sending out flyers to every vet in country. Starting with kent. An arduous and expensive task, but something to do slowly but surely. Will take time but I will never give up on either of my dogs.

- No news as yet. I am following up on the dog mentioned, waiting for photo from dog warden, but not optimisitc as showing no chip. Is it possible to get a list of vet surgeries with full addresses, so I can print off and create a mailing to include the poster, urging vets to scan routinely?

- My husband is a volunteer on the Watercress Line and has put up a poster at Ropley Station. When the Stationmaster saw it, he commented that the dog was a regular visitor although, sadly, not in the last week. Perhaps another avenue to explore?

- Might be an idea to give a poster to the Watercress line train drivers, they are up and down the track a few times a day also the HH hunt kennels, they've been very helpful in the past. Which side of the A31 did he go missing from, north or south? Will try to get over there in the next day or so, please get as many posters up as you can, good luck and hope he's home soon.

- Jane, I have emailed advice to you. Sorry to see George is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. POSTERS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Start postering now!. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description Last edited: 2010-09-28 18:36:22 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
