Oh Faline, where are you? :( We are in NR19, a bit out of the way but you never know. I will keep an eye out for this gorgeous girl x

How irresponsible the owners are! Do they not realise that Diego one day may not come home!!
carol
If that is the one, he ran across in front of my sons car, but when he tried to coax it over to him, he said it was very frightened, and ran off. I hope he did get home.

The dog at Thorington Street is probably Diego, a large grey lurcher who sometimes escapes and runs free round the CO6 area, and lives in Stoke. He always gets home so his people don't seem to worry much - he'll get run over one of these days as he has little road sense!

Just read that the found dog has been reuinted x

Thanks poochpal, it is very likely that she has ended up in a different area as she has been missing since 6th Oct 2010.
I have E-mailed the link for the found dog to the owners.

I kmow it is a long way from here but could ref no 34340 be checked as a match? I have not read the whole thread yet but could she have been taken to another area?

Thanks carol, hopefully this poor dog will be caught soon, if it is could you let us know.
I will contact the owners and alert them to this anyway.

Don't know if this is any good, My son has just rung me, he has just seen a dog running free and scared in Thorington Street, near Stoke by Nayland, It is miles away from where this dog has gone missing, but the description is very very similar. It is unlikely to be her, but thought I would pass it on anyway

Spoken to the owners and sadly there has been no sightings of Faline. There was a shoot in the area the day before yesterday and they feel she may have been frightened and moved out of the area. The owner will continue to leave food , water and bedding at the feeding station in the hope that when it is quiet Faline will return to this area. In the meantime the owner's are postering further a field, hopefully we will get some sightings of her very soon, stay safe Faline xxx

C'mon Faline! We've got everything crossed you'll be home soon. Stay safe!

Have spoken to Andy and have advised on what to do. The area that Faline has been seen in and possible been resting in sounds to be the ideal place for a feeding station. Andy tells me that Faline felt very safe when she was in her crate at home so he will be moving this to the safe haven, along with her bedding, food ,water and familiar things. We seem so very close now and it can't be long now before Faline is re-united xxx

Searched the area where yesterday's possible sighting was, and found a little nest in the dry bracken which really smells of Faline! Have left food and scented the area. Thinking of taking her own bedding out there - would that be a good idea?

Bumped due to another possible sighting. This is very good news that Faline is staying in the area, hopefully we will have some good news very soon. x
Lankeela
Fingers crossed she stays safe and you get the breakthrough you need.

Another possible sighting, though not a positive one - this time very close indeed to where she went missing, and close to home. We have contacted the farmer who owns the fields where she was last seen, and started scenting the area. Leafleted riding stables and cycle paths ready for the weekend. We're not giving up!

Managed to catch up with the owners who were going out again to poster further a field. I have given them more suggestions on where to poster and also suggested that they contact the local radio stations (which they have done already). I have ran through what to do if they see Faline i.e.crouch low, no eye contact etc.
I have also talked to them about setting up a feeding station as it appears Faline is staying very close to home. I will E-mail scenting information to them. Stay safe Faline until you are found. xxx

Thank you Helen! Also, thanks to Marianne another Dogslost volunteer who has passed on Faline's poster to security at nearby Bernard Matthews just in case they see her. We're very grateful to the lovely lady who reported the sighting, she owns a nearby farm and even came out to help us search this afternoon, she saw her silhouetted against the sun in the middle of the meadow and initially thought she was a fox! Hopefully she will stay safe as game is being reared very closeby... The posters and flyers you sent have made a great impact so more will go out tomorrow... Thanks again, Africa & Andy x

Well done AJE for getting the word out there about Faline, sounds like the posters are working as you are getting calls, keep going, you are doing a fantastic job. I will call you tomorrow as too late now x

Have now postered and leafleted every house in Attlebridge and Alderford, which are the two villages either side of the valley where she was last seen. Spent 3 hours in the meadows searching for her, but no luck yet.

That's really good news, thank you for up-dating us AJE, praying she will be home very soon xxx

Positive sighting! She has been seen 10th October about 4.30pm in the meadows between Attlebridge and Alderford - postcode NR9 5NG. She may be trying to get home! We're going there now - please everyone keep your eyes open. Thank you!

What a shame, will post details on easterndogscene, we have members in this area. Hope there is some good news soon.

A big thank you to all of you at Dogs Lost, i can't believe you're giving up your free time to help us! Hopefully we will hear about little Faline soon. After being maltreated in the past she was so ready for a new forever home when she got spooked by traffic.. She may be out on the common still so we are out looking every day, maybe local farmers may spot her in the fields. Fingers crossed she will be o.k. Thanks again everyone.x

Thanks Auntie Kate and Jayne x. I have now E-mailed general information, contact numbers for vets and rescue centres in Norfolk.
Also E-mailed posters and flyers to the owner, thanks Kate for sorting these out for me.
Lets hope we hear some news of this little one soon xxx

Have contacted Faline's owners, there's been no sightings of her since she went missing. She was being walked when a car passed too close to them and she slipped out of her collar, she's very timid so may be hiding in the undergrowth somewhere. She's only been with her family a few weeks and is thought to have been living wild for approximately a year before being taken to a rescue. Stay safe little one! x Last edited: 2010-10-10 15:55:05 by Auntie Katie
