Or, this girl could have just kept her - until the microchip comes to light and the vets call. That is my hope.

Bailey, retriever, has gone missing from same area now, and there is a travellers site somewhere around there. Have you had a sniff around there? Be careful and never go alone, but maybe sit and watch the dogs that come and go, or that you can see. You never know? She is quite distinctive and she is somewhere! Bless you and Minnie and I hope you get that special call some day soon. x

Jayne, firstly there is now a reward being offered, spoke to owner this morning reference the person who had the sighting of Minnie being picked up, unfortunately there has been no more contact from that person even though messages have been left on there phone. I have now phoned every dog kennels, rescue kennels in the Reading Wokingham Binfield areas, now going to email every vet in these areas just in case someone takes a black & white spaniel to a vet any time. If someone is holding on to her intentionally let's hope they might soon realise the error of there ways and hand her in, also adverts are going to be put in the Reading Chronicle & Evening post newspapers

I have spoken to various people on the phone tonight there is not a Dog pound or holding kennels in Reading that they are aware of, strange! I spoke to another company called SDK tonight who pick up lost and found dogs for councils who have now registered Minnie them selves as lost, the lady who phoned the owner had said her husband had seen a young girl put a black & white spaniel (Minnie) in a car near Aldermaston station Saturday and she was going to phone back when she had further info. I'm going to check with Binfield dog rescue tomorrow. She has not been handed in as yet to anybody

Hi there - I don't know if I'm the only one but I am confused that Minnie was picked up by someone who was taking her to a pound. Did she not get there? I will do all I can with posters etc

Positive sighting of Minnie being picked up on the A4 on Saturday by a girl who said she would take him to a dog pound in Reading as that was where she was heading...so looks as though search now to be concentrated in the Reading area. Will ammend posters and e mail helpers in that area.

Spoke to the Landowner who owns the land along the A4 from the Aldermaston roundabout to Cods Hill about a mile up the road who said that on Friday, he saw her later that morning up near Cods hill Turning in the field. later in the afternoon she was seen back down near the Aldermaston station turning, Local Radio Station Newbury Sound (ex Kick fm) Representative told me that after they put on air friday a lady rang in to say Minnie was by her car shaking and would not get in and then ran off down near the roundabout. There have been no sightings since friday afternoon. I have spoken to more keepers today in the areas surrounding this particular A4 area. also spoke and passed posters to Reading dog wardens and Basingstoke to cover Hants area, Newbury are already aware. Rail track keep in touch with any reports from there train drivers. My details have been left everywhere now including owners telephone number and Dog Losts Posters, as owner has not got a computor at home so i can liase with anybody if it helps. My telephone number is 07598945154 if you want to contact me anytime, the stress and worry has made the owner a bit rough. I feel Minnie is still in the area somewhere.Last edited: 2010-10-21 09:35:40 by Discovery

Spoken to owner this morning, these were the main sightings: From the canal towpath she went up over the Aldermaston swing bridge heading up towards the A4 went over railway bridge onto the A4 almost caught near roundabout then ran down A4 towards woolhampton was seen in the little horse field opposite the station car park rear entrance, appeared on the A4 crossed over Police and motorists surrounded her she was probably scared stiff, frightened and confused then headed towards Marley tiles Factory area through the under growth as birds were seen flying out of the cover crop apparently people were phoning up local keeper to see if was his dog. I called into Webbs caravans and van workshop next door also Marleys given them details etc yesterday morning, today I'm ringing all the farms in the area, Owner has contacted local radio station Kick fm who are going to put it out on air every hour and there web site, he has been out this morning putting more posters out I have left my mobile number name etc with the owners of most farms in area, who are going to contact me if seen is this any help Jules? contact me if you need any more info Last edited: 2010-10-19 18:43:48 by Discovery

Spoken to Minnie's owner - he has only had the dog for a couple of days and she does not know the area. Asked him to get as many posters up as possible everywhere, Minnie's previous owner who trains gundogs has been up to look but is a bit too far away to get there regularly Hopefully she'll be home soon

Owner does not have a photo as has only had Minnie a short while, believe breeder/trainer has one. Hopefully will be able to get one and put on site soon. Meeka should have more details.
