What a heartbreaking year for you, let's hope a new poster campagne will bring fresh news. I will share on Facebook and hopefully spread the word again.
Jackie
Sharing on my page for you...we have a little jack russell and would be heartbroken if this happenned to us...don't know how you've coped this long but here's hoping this will remind someone that they belong to you and not anyone else... fingers crossed for you xxxx

Cannot believe a year has passed since your lovely dogs went missing. Really hope you get some news of them soon.
Ros
So sorry you haven't found your dogs, absolutely heart breaking. Your JRT looks so much like mine. You've done everything you can and I hope you get some news from your latest poster campaign.x
Rebecca
Thank you Jayne for bumping up Twiglet and Gertie. We have not had one phone call about either of them and they just appear to have vanished. I can't quite beleieve that it's been a year since they went missing as both myself and my partner still miss them dreadfully. I will shortly be doing another poster campaign in Dorset but if anyone has seen either of them or knows where they are please call me. I still very much want them both home where they are loved. Thanks again. Becky

Being the owner myself of 2 JRT, my heart goes out to you, and I think you are very brave to move on. It does sound to me that with no trace of either of them that they are together somewhere and unfortunately if someone has found them they get attached and are then reluctant to give them up. I wish you all the best with your rescue dog and who knows one day you may have three dogs should Twiglet and Gertie appear. xx
Rebecca
Dear all, i just wanted to write and say a big thank you to all the volunteers and anyone who has looked on this site and given their time to try and help find Twiglet and Gertie. My partner and I handed out just under a 1000 posters last weekend in Dorset as one final push. Whilst i will continue to scan the rescue sites for them or give up all hope, i do feel it is time to move on and my only wish now is that they are both well and sitting together on someone's sofa eating biscuits and being thoroughly spoilt! It's very difficult to express quite how devasting it has been to lose them but i am hopefully going to be getting a rescue dog so that something good can come out of it. Am sure Twiglet won;t mind giving her bed up to another mutt in need. I've made a small donation to doglost as a way to say thank you for all the support. Even if it hasn't brought either of my two home, i hope it helps someone else be reunited with their dog. Thanks again. Becky
Rebecca
Thank you Racheljane. Twiglet and Gertie are on the animal search website. I have contacted them and they are going to contact the finder to see if the dog found is either of them. Your help searching is very much appreciated. We have had no news on either Twiglet or Gertie and as you can imagine it's pretty horrible not knowing that they are ok and safe. Thanks again. Becky

I will ask admin if we can do a combined poster and fliers for both Gertie & Twiglet. We need some good news soon.
Rebecca
Thank you Sue and Jules for all your support. Twiglet went missing with Gertie and i was wondering whether Gertie could also be advertised (albeit with the rubbish photo). Jayne said that you might have already done this and if so thank you very much. Still looking and hoping! Becky

I don't live in Dorset but just wanted to say I hope they re both found soon. Keep posturing and advertising in the press and make them as famous as possible. Strange neither one has been seen so very likely someone has picked them up. Don't give up hope x
Sue
Its coming up to the date of Twiglet's birthday and our daughter, Becky, was there when she was born and Twiglet has been her constant companion since then. Twiglet and Gertie were only out of sight for a minute before they went missing. Neither terrier is known to go to ground, so surely someone, somewhere must have seen them, especially as they are both such friendly little dogs. Any news, good or bad, would be better than not knowing what has happened to them. A substantial reward, with no questions asked, is offered towards their safe return. Many thanks to everyone who is helping us in some way. Sue

Twiglet and Gertie are still missing. Bumping as owner has been on Wessex FM radio. Please keep watch out. owner pelase remember to scour all the rescues for them.
Rebecca
Just an update to say Twiglet and Gertie are still missing. There has not been sight nor sound of either of them. We have sent posters out to all the dog rescue sanctury's in Dorset, Devon, Hampshire and Somerset and have done another appeal on the Local Radio. I'm going to go down to Dorset soon and do another poster blitz. I find it so odd that neither of them have been sighted. i hope this means they are still together. Thank you. Becky

Unfortunately, it appears the terrier spotted was owned by the Manor's housekeeper. We have done an appeal for both Twiglet and Gertie on the local radio. It would now seem that the only way they will be coming home is by word of mouth. There are not any words that can express how terrible it feels not knowing what has happened to them both. It's like i've lost my shadow. Please keep your eyes peeled for any reports that could be either of them. Thank you all for your help. Becky

My partner and I have been blitzing the local towns and also the cattle markets with posters etc. We recieved a phone call today from a lady who saw Twiglet last weekend (23rd/ 24th) at Slape Manor near Netherbury/ Bridport. She still had her collar on and looked fine. We are going to be blitzed that area today as it is in the opposite direction from where we thought they had gone. Fingers crossed and hopinh Gertie was just hiding around the corner! Thank you. Becky
Rebecca
Hello, I am Twiglet's owner. Unfortunately, we have not received any news about her to date. Obviously I am very worried about her but just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is helping to try and find her. I will, of course, keep you all updated if any news is received. Thank you again. Becky Last edited: 2010-10-26 16:10:14 by Rebecca

I have spoken to the people that Twiglet and Gertie were staying with while owners are on holiday. They have done all the right things, contacted all the right people but no sign of them. They are now going to contact the local hunt terrier man and other people who may be able to help.
