Nina - the paper lolponies contacted, and pleaded with to run a story about Sam, was The Greenwich News. I'm not sure about coverage & so perhaps lolponies can advise on this. When we spoke on Saturday morning, she said that the paper was a Freebie and delivered to ALL homes in the area and that there was a Council connection. Once again, perhaps lolponies would confirm this. Also, has the newsaper journalist been told as hopefully he will print a follow-up success story and hopefuly encourage him to cover the 3 other dogs missing in the immediate area - Coco - Shar Pei, Dave - Chihuahua & the Yorkie stolen from Felixstowe Road?! I tried to contact lolponies last night to say how happy I was to read the news but no answer and & will try again this evening.
Goldenfrodo
This is great news. Welcome home Sam xx
DogLostNina
If it was the newspaper article that got him home has the newspaper been alerted to the fact of the other dogs that are missing or are they in a much wider area that wouldnt cover the newspaper coverage.
lolponies
Thanks guy's it is great news. Hope the others are back soon too. XXX

Only just managed to get on here as working late and had some jobs to do this morning & so didn't manage to log in before leaving for work. I was checking up on all the 6 dogs missing in my area & couldn't understand why I couldn't find Sam in the Lost dog section (thought I was going mad!). I hardly dared to believe he'd been reunited and so what a lovely surprise when I looked there. I bet the reunion was emotional! lolponies -
do you think it had anything to do with the newspaper article? Well done everyone in making this boy too hot to handle. I just need the other 5 back now!

Great News Sam is now home... do you know who this person bought the dog off for £ 50 ?? Luckily they did the decent thing and handed him back over. Way to many dogs this is happening to, and Sam is one of the very lucky ones to be reunited. Welcome home little one.x

Thanks Cavvie lover. We are indeed begining to think they are connected as I have spoken to the owner of Dave and they are only at the other end of Felixstowe Road!!! Plus to top it off I met another lady in Abbey Wood Village that had a Yorkie stolen on Tuesday morning in Felixstowe Road!!! Can you believe it? Dog napper on the loose? I should say so!!!

i asked that question on daves page where did he actually go missing from but leahe didnt get bck to me? just in case its connected? seems strange 2 within a week and could be 3 if the boy had stole the pup he was also carrying as well as dave, i was also dissapointed to see some of my posters have been removed?? the bus stop ones in yarnton way and the steps at tavy the others round lake and down the green seem to be ok.
lolponies
Hi leahe I tried to call you today to find out some more information about Dave. Where did he go from? Have you potered the area? I have a female chug and they're quite rare. Make sure you check Gumtree, Epupz all those sort of sites to see if anyone is trying to sell him on. If you want to call me my number is 07931 246158. Hope you find little Dave, I think cavvie lover is right, we have a dognapper in the area! x
cavvie lover

Scampsfamily
Hi Cavvie Lover - As lolponies has said thanks very much for your help - I have made a new poster and messed around with the picture to make it more clear and brighter - I will print 100 today at work and we are not sure what time we are meeting on saturday I would think around 11 I can give you some posters if you wouldnt mind postering. Thanks everyone for all your help. xx
lolponies
Just to add Sam's family have informed me that he has a very over set jaw and his lower teeth are nearly always pertruding. Just thought i'd add it as it's quite a distingushing feature. X
lolponies
Hi cavvielover and unicandy thanks so much for offering to help. Any postering at all would be really helpful. Plumstead bus garage are going to check they're CCTV on the routes that go past the owners house so that's good news. I'm also waiting for a reply from the news shopper as to weather they can feature Sam in next weeks addition. Thanks again guys.
PS Could everyone upload a pic of Sam to their social networking sites ie facebook and send him to all their friends and ask them all to do the same? Thanks Lauren
cavvie lover

Thanks Unicandy x
Battersea Dogs Homeunicandy
No problem - Im actually walkinghome through Catford tonight so Ill start postering round there on my route home.
Scampsfamily
Thanks unicandy - We since have more informtaion - This is actually my Boyfriends uncles mum's dog (Bit confusing) So even more of an urgency to find him as I know how much the owner uses this dog. After speaking with Lauren (Neighbour) We have decided the next thing to do is phone the bus company as Sam's house is oppisite 2 bus stops - being as the buses now have camara's it will give us an answer as to whether someone took Sam and got on the bus with him. The bus route I believe goes all the way to New Cross so would be seriously useful if you could poster up in your surrounding area. Thanks for the help and feel free to contact me on my number below if you need any more light on the situation - thanks again x

Dont know if it helps, but I'm in SE6 since moving ie Lewisham/Catford/Hither Green/Sydenham etc. I'm free on Saturday and can do my area just in case he goes a little further afield? Would come and help there but a bit too far for me to go on foot!

Ok after speaking to Lauren (neighbour of Sams owner) We are going to meet Saturday morning to poster so far three people are going me my mum and Lauren if anyone else can offer even an hour of there time on saturday to poster surrounding areas please call Lauren on number above or call me on 07949 009 024. We all know how important postering is and being as the owner of Sam is missing him incredible amounts we need all the help we can get in getting this boy home. In the meantime we have called local cab office's asking them to put a call out to drivers to be on the look out I will also hand a couple of drivers posters to leave on their back seats for when people get in the cab they can see these and MOST IMPORTANTLY LETS MAKE SAM TOO HOT TO HANDLE. xxx
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Poster e mailed out to local helpers in SE2,3,7,9,18,28. DA5,6,7,8,15,16,17,18.

Try and make contact with any schools, children make excellent lookouts and they are either on half term or are soom to break for half term.
lolponies
Hi guy's, thanks for all your help, I am the neighbour, Lauren. I have emailed the photo to admin so hopefully it will be added today. The immediate area has been postered, dog wardens and local shelters informed and I have contacted Greenwich Times (local rag)who have said they will print a small peice in next weeks addition. I am going to call Battersea and contact the News Shopper to see if they will also run a peice on Sam.
If anyone could poster any further affield than Abbey Wood that would be great. I know the posters are extremley effective as my Jack Russel, Daisy, went missing from this area for 4 months last year, she had been picked up and sold to a couple in Mottingham (about 5 miles away), who saw a poster and thankfully called me, so although she hadn't gone that far I would never have got her back if I hadn't postered in other areas. If anyone without transport would like to help poster, perhaps we call all meet up (I have a car) and do as much postering in as many areas as we can as a group. Thanks again. PS the number above is my mobile if anyone wants to contact me. X
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
the mobile number is the next door neighbour. she is hoping to have a picture sent to her tonight. Ive said if any problems getting it on herself then email it direct to admin@doglost.co.uk nad we will get it on.

The dog was a present from her husband who sadly died 6 months later so very precious to her. Locals all know this lady and her dog so hoping that word spreads and this dog is found very soon.

Thanks helpers scampsfamily - cavvie lover and Scarlet for all you are doing to help this lady. CJ x

Scampsfamily
Hi Cavvie Lover, I do have a printer and am more than happy to poster up with you however i do not drive prehaps if we went out together we could put some posters up its alot easier in a car than it is on foot - where abouts are you I live in Carlton road which is near Nuxley Village ?? x
