Thank goodness for that, thats good news! I'm sorry I worried you but I'm glad that has been cleared up as I've been struggling to track down who said what to who! I will make sure everyone keeps lookout for her. Chris
Inca's Mum
From what I can deduce, it is NOT true that Inca might have been knocked down. Thank goodness. So EVERYONE please please keep looking for her... we so want her home. It is so good to have all your support.
DogLostOwl
We have emailed Chris but no reply yet and we don't have a phone number for him/her. Chris, if you read this please would you or your parents make contact with either Inca's Mum or Doglost asap? Thanks.
Inca's Mum
CHRIS - please can you contact me as soon as possible about this on the tel numbers above. I pray it isn't her but need to know.
DogLostOwl
It's news to us, Chris, but I have emailed co-ord Spindle to draw her attention to your post as she is dealing with this dog.
Chris
Hi, I hope I'm wrong, but my parents who live in Shaftesbury told me that an English Pointer has been found knocked down and they were told it was Inca. Can someone please confirm if this is correct, as I want to make sure that if it wasn't her my parents and friends in the area keep looking for her. I can probably find out more info if needed.

Advertised in Shooting Times. Good Luck

Thanks Jess for posting. Airfield has the poster already. Sure any posters beng given to vets or pet shops wouldbe appreciated by owner.
Jess
I know it's a little way from where she went missing but have blandford vets and pet shops been notified? I can drop posters in to them if it helps. Also, have you thought about a poster at Compton Abbas airfield? A lot of people pass through there?

Thanks Issy...have passed on your e mail so owner can get in touch with you.
Inca's Mum
Thank you for this Issy. Would be very interested to see the advert incase it is Inca who is still very sadly missing.
issy
Hi. Saw your dog missing on Legands forum. My daughter saw an ad on-line for a pointer for sale. The ad has now gone (on for a day) but my daughter kept the photo to ask advice as it seemed suspicious to her. Because the pix are taken from the other side I think that only you would know whether it could be Inca. Don't want to get your hopes up as probably not but let me know if you want us to send it to you.
Lashes
Hi - is there any update on Inca?
Inca's Mum
We were walking up on Fontmell Down and Melbury again - but nothing. I will leave more scent again tomorrow - She must be there somewhere.
Spindle
Bumping Inca she is in this weeks Blackmore Vale again. She has to be out there somewhere. We need sightings!!!
DogLostOwl
Keep on laying that scent because dogs who have gone walkabout do tend to go in a circuit, usually a triangular one, so she is very likely to come back there at some point.
Inca's Mum
Went up very early this morning to lay scent where Inca last seen and will go there again tomorrow morning same time to check of any evidence of her being there. I SO WISH SHE WOULD COME HOME!
Inca's Mum
Met up with lady who spotted Inca last Thursday on Fontmell Down so she could show me the exact location of where she saw her. Still no more news. Friends from Pointer Rescue also so kindly helped in the search for her today. Many thanks for all their support. We must find her!
Inca's Mum
Been in touch with Dorset Wildlife trust Area warden, and National trust Warden. But sadly no sightings... such a worry but thank you Nina for suggestions. It is great to have your support everyone... It is so cold for Inca now - I hate to think of her out there.
DogLostReynard
Great a positive sighting.......Thanks Nina I have sent Incas poster to all nine email addresses!
DogLostNina
Had a look at the map for Fontmell Down. Was wondering if the Dorset Wildlife Trust has been contacted as ther are quite a few email addresses available on their contact us section. I am sure you have also postered nearby Fontmell Magna and Compton Abbas. Good luck.
Spindle
Bumping because of positive sighting.
Inca's Mum
We looked all around Fontmell Downe, Melbury Woods all the valleys and called all yesterday for Inca but nothing... I wonder if anyone else will spot her and get in touch. I really hope so.Last edited: 2010-10-25 07:40:05 by Inca's Mum
Inca's Mum
Had an exciting phone call today - Sunday morning - from lady who saw our Missing photograph of Inca in Blackmore Vale Magazine. She said she had spotted Inca on Fontmell Downe as she walked from the top National Trust Car Park on Thursday - she said Inca was playing with her dog but that she tried to send Inca back to her owner as she thought she was separated from me who was walking with her.(Sadly not!) SO GRATEFUL AND EXCITING to get some sighing of Inca. We have looked all morning calling for her up on Fontmell Downe and no show. Any more sighings would be amazing. THANK YOU to the kind lady who read the Blackmore Vale this week.Last edited: 2010-10-25 07:39:36 by Inca's Mum
