- So glad Norman has been found and that his owners are going to stay on as helpers - I remember a few others on this site going missing in Ashridge forest, so their help will be invaluable. Well done to the finder - top man!!

- Brilliant news Norman is home i have just spoken to his mum and they are so happy and relieved to have him home. Thankyou to the lovely man that found him still with his lead attached and caught up. And a big thumbs down to the man that sits in his little hut at the college for not letting the owner park her car to look for him had he let her Norman could of been found yesterday and boo to the tractor driver who threw the flyer back at the owner lets hope you won't need help of some kind one day. Any way welcome home Norman and don't scare your family like that anymore.

- Hi sorry I didn't get up Ashridge today, there are notice boards in all the villages, Nettleden, Little Gaddesden, Ringshall and the shop in Little Gaddesden as well. Might be worth putting up posters in all of these . I was given help from a lady called Jackie Wilson - she is the horse ranger for Ashridge Estate and rides around most days - she is also in contact with all the other National trust rangers who do all the tree surgery and maintenance for the area - if anyone could find her they will - her number is 01442 842716 .Also there is a 24hr dog warden that covers Ashridge,Berkhamsted and surrounding areas, the local Hemel or Berkhamsted police can give you this telephone number. Hope this helps... Good Luck

- Will be up there in the morning and will have a good look round. We lost our Beagle for 7 days up in Ashridge earlier on in the year so don't worry. Posters are a definate as we received so many calls with sightings. Try and put posters up in the shop in Aldbury as lots of ramblers, runners and cyclist stop off there and also the coffee shop in Ashridge by the monument. Register the lost with Appledown kennels as well as lost dogs from Ashridge seem to get taken there.Good luck and hope Norman is home soon.

- Norman was startled by a herd of deer in the forest - he ran off with his extandable lead still attached from a walk by Thunderdale Cottages - this was at 2 pm yesterday - I have advised owners on scenting the area - dragging a pilchard sock back to the car abnd leaving clothing in the area - area is well postered and family are postering cars , rangers alerted and chip company aware although his chip is still registered to breeder who is also aware

- If Norman went missing on a walk please return to the place that you last saw him and to the place where you parked the car - he may well be hiding waiting for you, leave a piece of clothing with your scent on in a safe place so that if he picks up your smell he again may wait for you. - I will call you in the morning
