Very good article in the Telegraph and hopefully, now having been highlighted with a bigger distribution, it gets some results for people who have had their lives shattered from the low lifes that steal their beloved family pets. Good luck. xxStay safe Biscuit you are one of the lucky ones.Last edited: 2013-01-14 17:29:40 by ClaireC

Tx Magda for being in the Telegraph and supporting other missing...probably stolen dogs....hopefully with your kind coverage we can get more people on board and more results...so many people when their dogs are back just want to go back to normal living and not put them selves forward to help others...tx again...Jayne

Biscuit is featured in the Sunday Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/lifestyle/pets/9797749/Dognappings-organised-gangs-behind-a-surge-of-dog-thefts-across-the-country.html

A brief note to confirm that all is well with Biscuit- he has out on enough weight to return to his pre- theft condition. He is a bit more nervous than before but is getting back to his cheeky springer habits- and having a wonderful time with Bonnie and their new additional Mum- Betty- who lives with me and looks after them when I am at work. I need a larger house - am house hunting but find it hard to get a rental property with 2 dogs... Still cannot believe my luck and hope that all the other lost/stolen doggies return to their loving families like Biscuit did!!!! xxx

I love my Biscuit<3

Admin: is there any way to put pictures of Biscuit and Bonnie up here for people with no Facebook? I feel they all deserve to see my wonderful dogs together. Everybody ha been so supportive and needs a happy ending from time to time. If you want to use any of the ones on Biscuits Homecoming page, please feel free to use. THANKS!
magda
Heidi-thank you for all your support in my difficult times! I so wish you could see my two "monsters" They are so cute together. let me know if you want to meet up. you know my number xxx
magda
Hi, Helen- sorry to hear that you still have not found Holly! Let me know if i can do something to help! Thank you for your nice comments- I know I have been extremely lucky and blessed! Pictures are on Biscuits Homecoming nearly daily by popular request.xxx
Helen
Magda, I've just heard about your search for Biscuit and read some of your posts....what an amazing lady you are and what a reward to fiinally have your boy home. We have found Ghillie but have been searching day and night for four weeks now for Holly and have been to hell and back so can only imagine what you have been through. We, like you, will never give up looking for Holly.

I can't express how please I am for you, what an inspiration to us all you are x
heidi
Dear Magda, Biscuit and Bonnie, Words cannot express how happy I am for you all. I always knew deep down that one day you would be reunited. You now have the rest of your lives to catch up on wasted time. I'd love to see the pics, haven't yet mastered the FB stuff. I will text you and perhaps you could send them to my email, when you have time, I don't want to disturb you, your mind must be still all over the place. So, so pleased for you. I'm slowly getting used to not slamming on the brakes each time I see an ESS in our area ! A big round of applause must go to Helen and Lee, although bitterly sad, I'm sure in time they will realise that they were lucky in being chosen to keep Biscuit safe for you. I've so many questions to ask, but in the meantime, take care of yourselves, with much love Heidi xx

Magda - thanks for that - I too wanted confirmation, and now can relax.
Now I HAVE to try and find the facebook piccies - it's doing my head in not seeing more!
I'm so very happy for you and your two furry babies. xxx
Millys Mum
Just LOVE the reunion photos (ESSJ - thanks for posting the link). And how lovely he approves of his new sister! Although Biscuit broke Helen & Lee's heart, seeing your joy must have helped them realise that his future was with you and Bonnie. I do hope Helen & Lee can find another rescue Springer who's looking for a new family and home. Biscuit does look a bit on the slim side but I suspect it won't be long until he's back on form. I'm just so happy for you but, I must admit, I always had the strongest feelings that you and Biscuit would eventually be reunited... xxLast edited: 2012-06-19 22:11:20 by Millys Mum

Dearest friends! I have been so caught up with Facebook messages that I have not had time to thank everybody here who have supported me in my difficult times!! Doglost is amazing and I have "met" such wonderful people. I am still a bit dazed and it has not quite sunk in yet- the ordeal is over: I HAVE BISCUIT BACK! I am still planning to have the mega party to celebrate and hopefully meet as many of my
faithful doglost/facebook etc friends as possible. If somebody cannot access facebook pictures, if you send me your e-mail address, I can send you some current photos of my two fur babies together. And last but not least, let me thank wonderful Helen and Lee who looked after Biscuit for me. I know giving him up broke their heart. God bless. Magda, Biscuit and Bonnie

I am a bit confused as no-one has ACTUALLY said that Biscuit has gone home with Magda..there are innuendos and joy at the reunion, but I cannot see ANYWHERE any specific confirmation by ANYONE of anything other than joy at the reunion.I'm sure its right to keep matters private but in due course, when life has settled, it would be good to know what the outcome finally was. Thanks

Well said Neighbark, Doglost is truly fabuloso ! We really do need to start campaigning hard for vets to scan microchips as a matter of course. Surely we'd be able to turn up a few more dogs and put them back in the right hands.

I am just so dam happy they are now reunited, it's amazing a dog that i have never met has won my heart and pulled at my heart strings like Biscuit has. I had a feeling he would remember/recognise his Mum's voice. So pleased for Magda, I am sure she will give us an update in a few days to let us all know how he is settling but judging by the fabulous reunion photos it looks like they have never been apart. Big hug to you both and a massive thank you to everyone who has played a part in getting this boy home. This is what doglost is all about, working hard to reunite owners with their lost or stolen pets.
I am now going to have a glass of wine to toast Biscuit home. Welcome home Biscuit you handsome boy xxx

Keep coming back to this site - waiting and wanting to hear that Magda and Biscuit are reunited...and going to stay that way!
heidi
I truly believe that when Magda and Biscuit meet Magda will instinctively know what is right, and if she still doesn't then the lovely Biscuit will tell her. In my heart of hearts I want Biscuit back with Magda, and I really really hope that his present carers will give them time alone together. If they are true animal lovers they will accept Magda and Biscuit's decision, whatever it may be. I wont be looking at this site for a few days, I'm too scared - what an old fool eh ? God bless you Magda, Biscuit and all the other dogs waiting their turn to be reunited. Heidi xx

The voice that has not yet been heard on here is Magda's and everyone is whooping with Joy about hoped for reunions, but Magda herdelf is theone that has to go alone to the home of strangers, who have looked after him very recently and in front of them, who wish to keep her boy, she will have a reunion with her beloved Biscuit that she has loved and missed and campaigned for over 2 years . Then she will make, as I understand it, an agonising decision, in a very short space of time, about whether to take him home or leave him there...meanwhile the world is on the doorstep awaiting a joyeous reunion and ending.
Im sure Dog Lost are in touch with Magda and are clear about how she hopes to deal with this very difficult situation at a very emotive time, and that hopefully she will not be alone having to deal with a very private and emotional situation.
Dogs do react differently to situations. Twice recently my spaniel has been away from me once for a sleepover as Id fallen over and for several hours was wild eyed and anxious til he got back into the swing of being with me at home. Yesterday he cheerfully went off with the vet nurse without a backward glance, was fine when I collected him but for several hours had the same distance and anxiety and he's a real bouncy bean...My first springer loved being off with people and when collected she would sit with them them cheerfully ready to wave goodbye to me! So to expect Biscuit to make a life changing decision at that moment when he has been cared for in the immediate here and now in the home is a very difficult outcome.
Having spent 40 yrs carefully planning contact and meetings between children and parents and the time I have given to such planning and new beginnings as well...I just feel very concerned about SUNDAY. I KNOW ANIMALS ARENT CHILDREN
but I would want to be sure that Magda was supported in a clear plan so that on the spot decisions are not made in rushed and emotive situations...and I know I may sound precious etc but if Magda reads this I would say that I am sure you are feeling very anxious and take care and take time and dont feel rushed but dont lose the chance of your future with your boy. Many 'fostercarers' of dogs and children build an emotional bond nd tie with their 'charges' and if they become foster carers, in advance, they will have built up an understanding of how hard it might be to let go when the time comes; they have always done a great job and often it is the children in the family who form the bonds or even opposite with the fostered one, so they too need support to help them through any goodbyes.
Support and backup is important on both sides.
My suggestion would be to let Sunday pass by calmly and with support and quietly and then do the stories after when emotions are less raw.
This is not to take away people's pleasure and joy at Biscuit being found in any way but to recognise that it is a different situation to Magda going to see him and collect him from a rescue who was holding him or a dog pound.
Caring thoughts to all involved and doggy cudddle for Biscuit
ellejay
Aww bless ya Heidi, it must be a southern thing :p

But seriously they need stringing up who ever stole him. They probally made loads of money out of him, passed him from pillar to post lord knows, and whilst doing this breaking Magda heart, made her sick with worry, guilt etc .. The scumbags cannot get away with this , dread to think how many other pets they stolen.. Having been through it my self with our dog you would not believe how much anger I had and had to be held back in wanting to scratch their eyes out ( and that's being polite :p)
heidi
Well said ellejay - am always looking for your comments, we have the same opinions - just no nonsense and nail the b*****ds ! Heidi x

We have got to some how get this media coverage.. Biscuit is so well known over the internet, some media somewhere has got to cover this happy ending, and bring awareness to stolen dogs.

Pam st Clement is a MASSIVE dog lover, she doe sher section on ' This Morning' , also Brian May of Queen. they seem to activly help dogs out, maybe there is a way of contacting them ?
heidi
Magda, words cannot describe the depth of my happiness for you. I was sitting in the traffic today, which was moving nowhere, I picked up my iphone and went onto Doglost - reunited and there was Biscuit, my heart was jumping, I couldn't read the writing the screen is SO small, but I knew the picture was your darling boy in the "blue". I wound down my car window and shouted to the car next to me that "Biscuit is Back !!", the whole of Westerham knew ! Since getting home I've read all the posts and whilst I don't completely understand the circumstances I would just like to say Biscuit is YOUR dog, that you have worked tirelessly to find and I do feel that if his "new owners" are true dog lovers they will understand fully and just be happy that they are part of a lovely ending to a long nightmare. Bless you Magda, Bless you Biscuit and of course, all those furry babies still Lost. I shall have to get out of the habit of slamming on my brakes to check every ESS now. Love to you all. I know Biscuit will recognise you, I've got to go now, this is making me cry !! Heidi xx

So good to hear news like this that will give hope to others. Can not wait to see the re-united pictures.

Wish I hadn't read this late last night - coz I hardly slept for worrying that Magda might leave him with the finders!
Now I've read she's coming for him on Sunday , well

FANBLOODYTASTIC , so thrilled for you Magda.

I spoke to my vet about Biscuit today. She's sure he will remember Magda. It can't have been easy for Biscuit, although he was obviously fed - if he was unkempt, then he didn't have the one-to-one care, committment and love that Magda gave him, and he may be nervous and a little 'different' for a while.
This must give all you poor owners renewed optimism.

ESSJ - thanks for the update and like others on here, I'm SO happy that he will be returning home with Magda and will meet Bonnie, his new 'little' sister. I would just love to be there on Sunday for the reunion and to see his reaction when he spots his Mum!
ellejay
I have just read that the people who are looking after Biscuit ' were given him as they had a female springer ' i assumed they found him wandering.. does not matter anyways as he is safe and that is the main thing. I just hope they knew of the people who ' gave ' them Biscuit, or at least could find them again, what we got to remember a crime was commited, and if they can trace back who has had him all this time, maybe just maybe the scumbags will get caught.
I so hope Magda and Biscuit instantly connect again, and she brings him home, even though her circumtances may have changed some what, i just wish i was a fly on the wall when they meet on sunday.... Magda if you need any help i am only 10 mins away :)

I am so very happy that Biscuit has been found and also gives me more hope in finding my missing girl Lucy who also went missing in October 2010. I pray for the day I get a call to say she has been found. Welcome home Biscuit x

I too am very surprised that the vet didn't alert the chip company or the Police as surely Biscuit flagged up as stolen. If these people hadn't been so honest & caring, they could quite easily have not passed on the information. The main thing though is that he is safe & he will be re-united very soon. xx

The lovely man (who also owns a springer)who has been looking after Biscuit has been getting some flak for not allowing Magda to have Biscuit back -THIS IS NOT THE CASE and never has been- the family have simply become attached over the few days they have had him which with any dog (and i am biased as i have springers)but especially springers- is so easy. They have done the very best they can for him which includes taking him to the vets and will be sorry to see him go.Thank you so much for taking care of Biscuit - you have made a lot of people VERY VERY happy xxxLast edited: 2012-06-13 13:17:33 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland

I don't understand why he might not be going home to Magda!!Why wouldn't he??He is her dog and if she truly loves him he will be going nowhere else.

Fantastic news, I hope Magda is not put under any pressure by someone having the dog for 3 days and saying they have fell in love with him. Its great they found him, but he deserves to be back with his original family. But on the positive its great that he has been found

Fantastic news! I'm so pleased for Magda & Biscuit! Congratulations and well done to everyone who helped to find him.

What wonderful news. Now he needs to be re-united with his mum. Surely his "finders" will understand that is where he belongs

I am sure Biscuit will be the one that makes the decision :) x

oh we posted at the same moment..I think she does need to be very clear and to really consider her own feelings for Biscuit, the shock of him being found is so different to the anxiety and emotions of the hunt and probably almost too much to bear because it is easy to be caught up in gratitude and be altruistic in the moment especially being physically removed from the finding.....but if she lets him go , in this moment, she may regret it later and then have to live with emptiness as she wont have the hunt and the energy of keeping hope alive balanced with the fear of permanent loss, maybe the fear of the relationship not being the same after so long but that the finders have found instant love, albeit also caught up in the heat of his undoubted pleasure at being treated kindly and with such care...they also have to consider the position and being caught up in the emotions of such an amazing rescue.....
Im sure Magda will have to make a decision that involves looking at her own life now but not letting Biscuit go if she loves him and wants him back, that has to be her consideration and with gratitude and fondness for the finders.....poor lady she must be wracked with all sorts of emotions....but dont let your boy go if you still want him back and you can have him...the finders will be sad but hopefully their generosity of spirit and knowing the story will help....
DebsAndGreg
This is wonderful news. Cant wait to see reunited photos/video and Magda I bet you cant wait to see your boy. Need Oscar back home now and Michelle and Jon can throw a big reunited party.

Wonderful news, we have been following his story on ITS a spring thing FORUM and people already saying how great!!! Not clear why he may not return to Magda, is it because his finders have fallen in love with him??Great that they found him and had his chip checked, must feel a real emotional bond in such a rescue and she must be so pleased and grateful....but overwhelmed at having her boy back after never letting the light go out.
Gives hope for 2 in our area still missing in Bedfordshire and not to be forgotten SID AND PRECIOUS missing since january.

Its lost a bit down the page guys and Magdalena will update when she can but she is pleased that he is safe and well but unsure what to do for the best- she wants him to be happy and HIS best interests at heart- the people who have him have fallen in love with him.
I will speak with her again later if i can get hold of her and try and update you all- i do hope it leads to Biscuit returning home as Magda has put her heart and soul into finding him but in our conversation last night she very selflessly said she will do what is right for Biscuit. She is still planning the party for when she comes back to the uk and i really do hope that the guest of honour is a very special young springer lad that we have all been longing to see home xxx

But, as you so rightly say such awful news about Lennox which really made me feel so sad tonight. I feel I'm reading about a miracle. I've followed this story since I first discovered Doglost. I cried with some of her postings and tribulations. I was so happy when she found Bonnie. Poor Biscuit must be so confused - he SO deserves to be reunited with Magda at last...and Magda - your dreams and prayers have come true at last. Go and collect your darling Biscuit - you have to be the very best person for him - he won't have forgotten you. You so deserve this loving reunion. God bless you both. x

FOUND THIS ON GOLDEN OLDIES SITE NOT SURE OF BISCUTE AGE AND KNOW IT SAYS BEEN WITH FAMLIY SINCE PUP,BUT U NEVER KNOW THOUGHT IT MAY B WORTH A CHECK Marni (Animal Rescue Charity, Herts)posted in Adopt An Oldie |

This stunning Teddy-bear of a dog is Marni, an 8 year old Springer Spaniel boy. This friendly and loving lad is looking for a new home with the help of Animal Rescue Charity in Hertfordshire.

Marni has lived with a family since he was a puppy and is used to living with older children. He is a friendly boy who would fit in well in most households. He mixes well with other dogs too.

Marni loves his cuddles and is just a big softie, wanting to meet everyone both familiar and unfamiliar for some attention and cuddles. He is truly a people-loving dog who misses having his home comforts.

Marni enjoys his walks, which is a good thing, because he could do with losing a little weight! He is happy to walk around with his doggy friends or just have a person around to keep him company. He walks at a nice rhythmic pace and is just a pleasure to walk.

This lovely boy is friendly with all people who are fortunate enough to come his way. He is just a pleasure to be with – obedient, well behaved and friendly with a lovely balanced temperament. His natural handsomeness is only outshone by his lovely, placid and tolerant personality. Marni is a true gentleman!

All Marni wants is to find that family who will love and cherish him s he deserves to be. He promises to make the most wonderful of companions to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.

Our dog wardens picked up a male Springer Spaniel in Stonebroom on 22 December.

'Pudding', as he's been named by council staff, is around 2 years old – brown and white with a white stripe down his nose. He had no collar and tag and although he is micro chipped no owner details are registered against the microchip.

If you know someone who has lost a dog fitting this description please contact us as soon as you can, we'd hate him to spend his Christmas in kennels!

If Pudding's owners don't come forward we will have to look to re-home him in the New Year. If you think you could give him a home please contact us, all dog adoptions are subject to a successful home check and the dog's owners not coming forward prior.

Thanks, Bazil. I called the council when Biscuit was stolen- several times- they do NOT have a travellers liaison officer and that is very worrying since we have several well known sites around this area... I was discouraged from going there myself...
BBKM
Magda contact your local council and ask to speak to the traveller liasion officer. He or she will be able to go on to the sites and check the dogs they have. If Biscuit is on a site it is their duty and law to bring him off the site.
As you say IF you or someone else has seen Biscuit on a site then the police will go with that person, and the dog warden to scan the dog if chipped. A photo should be taken so you can show markings to identify dog. Good luck xxLast edited: 2011-09-04 11:47:32 by BBKM

Hi I don't this is relevant so not sure about posting. I don't know if biscuit is entire? Magda, wherever Biscuit is (and what a beautiful name), he knows you love him and you always will; he knows you are searching for him. Dogs are telepathic so you can talk to him wherever you are or wherever he is. He will hear you. It's us humans that have the problem of hearing back, but he will hear you - promise. He will always be your Biscuit and one day that call will be him. He has his chip. x

Hi Magda, sometimes like today I do not go on FB and when I do go on, sometimes its just a quick check of messages etc. So sorry I have missed Biscuits Day. I am always looking for Biscuit, Oscar, Ozzy, Stanley and Meg the cocker spaniel who was lost at Easter along with lots of other springers /spaniels that are still missing on here. Cross checking all the time on so many different sites, so don't think we have forgot about Biscuit or you and how you must be feeling, I think most members on here will be doing the same and never give up looking. Take care, stay positive Magda and hopefully he will be home soon with you xxx

Don't think that Magda - we just wish we could bring him home to you. Every time a springer is found I think it may be biscuit. At least he is chipped, so fingers crossed he may turn up one day....it's just when!!

Lancaster Guardian (14th & 15th July) has a report of a raid on a barn at Lancaster in which a lot of "pedigree dogs" were seized by the RSPCA. Don't know if you're aware of this already, may be worth checking out.
I really hope you find Biscuit soon. Very best wishes in your search.

Magda, the cost of printing leaflets is irrelevant if it helps brings your boy back to his rightful place. I'm sure there's a few of us out there "on your case" and I do really believe "the law of averages", combined with Biscuit's such distinctive markings will eventually bring him back home. As you might have guessed, I travel quite a bit to dog shows, but am not at Gun Dog days, so I've reently been putting posters on all sides of my car in the car park and will now try and get a poster up at the entrances to these places, and since you can get 8,000 dogs with their owners at these shows, it only takes one to recognise him. BFN Heidi x
magda
Heidi, I can only repeat: YOU ARE A STAR. Thanks and let me know if I can print posters for you or contribute to the posters or any other costs.

Reynard- thanks for the list of media and vets. I have written to loads. Now I will also cover Leeds. LOL
heidi
Hi Magda, I have a friend who lives in Birmingham/Dudley area and works in a vets. I shall send her a supply of posters to circulate to the vets up there, but in the meantime, just to keep all options open I'll recirculate posters in my area. Also, I shall be in Malvern next week, Leeds after that, then Stafford, and whilst I'm at it I shall poster South Wales in early August. Can't hurt can it. Best Wishes as always. Heidi x

Anyone in the Birmingham area that is able to help please?

Reynard-Heidi-Zeffi, I am back after a couple of weeks away. Thanks for keeping the pressure up. I have now written to several vets in the Birmingham area, as psychic thinks he is up North and near a large city- and another one had mentioned B'ham...
He is supposed to be with a young couple who does not know that he is stolen and look after him well...a tough one, if i find that he is happy there and i might even eave him with them to save him another upheaval- BUT I WANT TO KNOW THAT HE IS WELL!!! Heidi- I will put up some new posters as all seem to have disappeared. I drive past the spot of the alleged sighting- but am pretty sure it was not Biscuit. I can't think of anything that you could do apart from spreading the word that I have not given up and am still searching!!! LOL
heidi
Hi Magda, I have a free few days - do please let me know if there's anything I can do, strange that I should log on and see Biscuit at the top of the page as I went to Scadbury Park with my dogs earlier and decided to do a detour around to where your beautiful boy may have been seen a few weeks back, never give up, I will never stop looking out. One day somebody will be in the right place at the right time and your nightmare will end, that I am sure. God bless, Heidi x
zeffi
So much hoping you will have good news of your beautiful boy soon. Stay strong and brave.xx

Am bumping Biscuit as his FB page is back http://www.facebook.com/groups/227608117273539?id=227825597251791
and a new appeal has gone out.
Please everyone look for Biscuit xxx
magda
Thanks for thinking of Biscuit- it is 8 months today since I have been burgled and he was taken- it is so hard to keep up the faith that he will be found and that he is well!!! Thanks for your support as that keeps me going. I will not give up the search!!!

Hi- I had to take Help Find Biscuit pager off Facebook as there were too many idiotic trolls using it to harass my friends and helpers. PLEASE, could you take off the note about the sighting as it was not Biscuit that was seen in that spot. No other sighting since... I will write to all TV stations and radio stations over the weekend. I have been away for a week that is why it had been so quiet ...
DogLostRiverlady
Have put Biscuit on twitter + will circulate.

Magda, have received your facebook message with Biscuit's link, will get Riverlady to twitter him now, hopefully someone will know something. You are doing all the right things and it's lovely to see an owner not give up, keep up the good work hun xxx

I agree entirely, a dog on its own wouldn't stand a chance with the traffic around there. I've just got back from another look round, I came out at the bottom of Scadbury Park and walked down the main road along as far as Comet then back again. I'm now thinking that the sighting was perhaps the dog you already know of. Nevertheless, it won't hurt me to walk that area with my dogs for a while. BFN Heidi x
magda
HI Heidi,

Thanks for going there- but I think that a dog on their own there would either have been hit by a car or picked up by someone. I have distributed so many posters in that area - including the poster that was pout up at St Mary Cray station for 6 months until day before yesterday, that anyone seeing Biscuit would recognise him. Like I said before, I have seen a similar springer male being walked in Leesons Hill and so has Shelagh, my dog walker. I will drive around there as well to look from time to time, but ... Of course, * Lane was one of the first things that police and pet detectives thought of. There have been raids and police went to some houses of people known for "collecting" many dogs- no sign of Biscuit.
heidi
Hi Magda, I walked my dogs down Leesons Hill early tonight, I parked at the first turning on the left after the mini roundabout at the top and walked down to just past the Mazda garage and then back up the other side. I didn't see anything remotely resembling Biscuit, just two Staffie types and a shih tzu. Asked a couple of commuter looking types to look out for him. As you know, it's quite "trafficky" around there so I'm suprised that other people wouldn't have seen or done something had a dog been walking unaccopanied. In any case as it's not a million miles from me I'll do the rounds around there over the next few days just in case. Has anybody checked * Lane ? Stay positive, Heidi x

Keep your spirits up Magda, this maybe Biscuit. xx
magda
Heidi=- the sighting was near the Mazda garage- where there are some houses on the opposite side along a bank. It is not near the part where my dog walker used to take Biscuit. I wonder if he would not even find his way home from there... I will drive along there frequently but am not that hopeful...unfortunately.
magda
the sighting is not a reliable one as it was the lady's son who saw the dig and not she herself. The street is really close to me and my dog walker drives there every day. She knows of a springer who lives there who looks like Biscuit- just larger. I saw that dog myself a few times in the area. I am putting up posters there tonight but don't hold up much hope.
heidi
Do we know do what end of Leesons Hill Biscuit was possibly spotted. Do we know how reliable this sighting might be ? I will do a "sweep" of the area tonight and all over the weekend with my dogs in tow. Would you prefer that I took in Scadbury, then along St Pauls Cray Road, or the other side (taking in Petts Woods woods) ? and then into Leesons Hill. Do so hope this is gonna reach a good conclusion. Would love to be out there now, but have to be at work. Will also try to muster up some help from other doggie friends. Stay safe Biscuit, we're coming to get you ! Heidi.

The new poster says the sighting in Leesons Hill was on 2 Nov 2010! I thought it was a recent sighting. I live just round the corner from Leesons Hill and will keep my eyes open. Does the poster need updating again? I can put up some new posters in the area but would prefer to put up one with better information.
nikkic
Oh I really hope this is Biscuit and Magda can get him back you have worked so hard to find your boy even helping another springer along the way xx

owner says this is the area where her dog walker used to take him to be walked. could also mean that the filming with channel 4 a few weeks ago may have meant the dog was released....owner is going with freind to area to poster and to knock door to door to see if it may possibly be someone elses spaniel on the loose.....

Reynard- have you got the contact details for Tony? I want to talk with him as well. It can't hurt. Tks.
magda
Reynard- thanks for getting a message from Catherine for me- grateful for any news and prepared to follow up any leads- am even more desperate than before as my work wants me to go to France for a few months in autumn and I want to find him before then. I will take him with me, of course!!!
heidi
Hi Magda, I shall of course watch the programme with great interest. The fact of the matter is is that dogs don't just disappear, aliens from outer space don't grab them (at least I don't think they do), so Biscuit MUST be somewhere, sorry I'm waffling on now....but anyway, that's my opinion. I must try POSITIVE THINKING !! Love Heidi x
magda
of course, tears not tars!!! Dyslexic fingers!!!
magda
Dearest Heidi, You are such a star you brought tars to my eyes. I am now resorting to the last possibility (apart from the TV show at the end of this month- 24th or 27th, called pet Detectives on Channel 4)A PSYCHIC. I will take something I have with Biscuit's fur on it and see what happens.Wish me luck!!!!LOL
heidi
Hi Magda, just checking the daily check ! I wanted to say I'm still looking for Biscuit wherever I go, north, south, east, west england and of course, my local area (chis), I will always look out for him whether I'm on foot, or in the car, my heart still skips a beat when I see a springer, and then sinks when I can see it's not your Biscuit. I do truly believe one day he'll turn up and I do so hope it's one day soon. Both of you are always in my thoughts. Heidi x
Unknown
There is a male springer found in Coventry on here, says liver and white, really wish it was Biscuit.
DogLostReynard
Sorry the Pet Detectives did not turn anything up Magda but have you tried Tony he is the detective from Oxford that traced Piglet 23276 & Becks 22256 ?
magda
The pet detectives have no more clues and have finished their investigation- to no avail- Now it is up to the film towards the end of may- I do hope that someone will recognise him and have the decency to let me know where he is! it is a tough time for me as tomorrow will be 6 months since he was taken. Charlie is now called CASPAR and settling in nicely in his new home. If I wasn't still hoping for Biscuit's return, I would have kept him- he is such a beauty and so eager to please! And only a year and a half, the vet said. Keep your fingers crossed, everybody...
DogLostReynard
Good Luck Magda & hope Charlie will be happy in his forever home xxx
magda
on Tuesday, the pet Detectives are coming to this area again to finalise their investigation and to look into a site where a lady reported seeing several springers, adult and puppies. Channel 4 reporters and cameraman coming as well for final filming. I do hope this will get me somewhere! I have been giving Charlie, the look alike, loads of cuddles and praying that someone was giving my Biscuit the same! I can't think of anything else tat anyone can do, except keep the news of him alive: Posters, telling people, dog walkers, vets, postmen...THANKS everybody for your continued support!
heidi
Hi Magda, every day I check this site for news of your biscuit, and every day I'm so disappointed. Is there anything we can do to get things going again on your lovely boy ? Kind regards. Heidi

such a shame it wasn't biscuit! I had seen the updated photos of the found dog earlier on 'Alfie's' site showing he didn't have the same body markings as biscuit!

Hi Magda, each day I check this site, each day I'm disappointed, Biscuit is out there somewhere. I just wanted to mention that I noticed an article on DNA Testing on the Kennel Club website, which might be of interest to you. Heidi x
heidi
Hi Magda, I have no experience at all of DNA testing in dogs, but I'm pretty sure that the Animal Health Trust would have information that might be useful. Good Luck
magda
Does anybody have experience of DNA testing of dogs? If we find puppies near to me area offered for sale privately, we want to look at them and make sure they are not Biscuit's pups. I think the police have a suspicion...
heidi
Fine, I'll put some champagne ready in my fridge ! Seriously though I do so want you to have Biscuit back. I'll keep looking out,as I'm sure many others will so "keep the faith" as they say.
magda
YOU ARE NOT A NUTTER AT ALL! I WISH EVERYBODY WAS THIS SPIRITED, THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE I HAVE RECEIVED SO MUCH SUPPORT AND HELP FROM STRANGERS THAT I AM MOVED TO TEARS SOMETIMES. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AND PREPARE TO ATTEND A HUGE PARTY WHEN I FIND BISCUIT!
heidi
Dear Magda, I can assure you that if the dog with the coat on had been Biscuit, I'd have punched him first and asked questions later. Whatever happened Biscuit would have been coming with me. I would, of course, have allowed him to keep the coat ! I shall continue to keep my eyes peeled. Sorry if I sound like a nutter, but I'm not, it's just that I can't imagine what you're going through because it simply isn't right. I do believe one day he'll turn up when you're least expecting it. Keep up the good work. Heidi
magda
Dear Heidi,
Despite the sadness I feel I had to laugh at the thought of you telling the bloke to take the springer's coat off! THANKS! I never know why people buy springers coats anyway- they are bred for swimming in cold water and whatever the English climate can throw at them..I suppose it is fashion! I will never give up looking for Biscuit as I want to know how he is. In May, Channel 4 will show a film about us with a plea by me at the end. If I don't find him for a long time and then find out that he is happy with a family looking after him and loving him, I might even be satisfied to leave him there. Whatever is better for him. It is the not-knowing which is bad. Thanks for all your support and for making me laugh!xxxxx Magda
heidi
Hi Magda, have followed the sad story of Biscuit for a long time now, I live close by in Chislehurst and yesterday stopped a bloke with a long eared springer spaniel who I've seen three times now, I asked him to remove his dog's fleecy coat just to check it's markings. Sadly it wasn't Biscuit, but I just wanted you to know he hasn't been forgotten and I shall continue looking in my area. Don't ever give up.
magda
Have sent Sarah some posters and also all local vets in the Bloxwich area. Sarah also promised to speak to all the dog walkers when she takes her dog out today. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed! Bonnie wants her brother!!!
magda
WONDERFUL Sarah wrote as reply to my e-mail with pictures and your poster:
I have sent the email to work I have a good printer so I shall print lots of copies for you. I shall put up in the local areas as much as I can. The middle photo on your attachments is the one I had seen in the Bargain Pages and seems to look like the dog I had seen. The vets around here always check the chips. But shall pop into them too for you. Please try not to get to exicted but shall try my best. I shall be in touch with you if I have any news. Fingers crossed. How sad :-(.
magda
I have e-mailed the local RSPCA...
magda
Is there anybody in that area? Sarah promised to tell other dog walkers when she goes out again on Wednesday to walk her Dalmatian. She says the man did not let the dog come close to her dog and she cannot be sure it was him but looked like him. He was thin... I am trying not to get overexcited, but this is the first possible sighting for a long time...
magda
Just got this e-mail and spoke to Sarah:
I think I may have seen you dog over king Georges playing field in Bloxwich. I noticed the dog about 2 -3 weeks ago as he looked very thin but very lively. He was walking with a middle aged man off his lead but did seem to be with him so I may be wrong. I walk my own dog over there and can ask other people who walk there dogs to look out. If you want to send me your number if I see him again I can call you. What is the dogs name ? My number is 07951090435. I have seen you number in bargain pages and do not want a reward.
magda
Total silence- despite the new posters all over the UK. I have changed my posters in this area as well and had no response. Either he is far away or the people who have him intend to keep him. If they wanted to breed, by now there must have been some success. The Pet Detectives are looking into possibilities. Hopefully they find some clues!
magda
Hi,I went out to all the green places around here on the same night he went missing and called for him. I drove to all the places where we used to walk as well. He did not run off but was definitely taken. He would have been picked up, run over on the main road we live on or would have come back home. I walked on the green several times since and put posters up everywhere. Somebody would have seen him.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
I had a look on streetmap and saw there are a few wooded areas not too far from where he went missing. Have these been checked out?
magda
Went to the area straight away and left posters at the fish and chips shop and spoke to some people. My dog walker knows of a springer there- and barking at humans is not characteristic of Biscuit- he would go up to them, unless he has gone ferral. I am following up regularly but nobody has seen one since. There is a new poster at the ticket office in the station for all to see and i had no more calls.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Have you followed up on the possible sighting near St Mary Cray station or do you think it should be discounted? I don't know the area at all. but wondered if there's any open land or derelict buildings in the area where he could be holed up. Might also be worth asking locals if they've seen the dogs about?
magda
Thanks for all your emotional and practical support- couldn't do it without the wonderful "strangers" who I met through my tragedy. I promise to throw the welcome home party for Biscuit where he can meet all his benefactors. I am hoping the facebook chain I started will also help and then the TV programme planned on stolen dogs. We are giving the thieves the tough time they deserve, I hope!!!
ellejay
I swear when biscuit comes home, I wanna give him the biggest cuddle, so. Can imagine how magda feels.

She really is doing fab job in keeping him well known, and I pray everyday I will see him reunited with her.

I still look everyday for him on the net, and always ask at vets etc...we just need someone to get him scanned soon.

Come on baby boy please show yourself xxxx

A young man reported seeing Biscuit about one month ago near St Mary Cray station- he just saw the poster at the ticket office there. Promised to grab him if he sees him again. He said the dog barked at him and he was with other dogs and chased him away. Does not like something Biscuit would do, but who knows how he is now...today, a newspaper journalist is coming to see me- will let everybody know where the article on dog napping will appear. The 2nd Feb will be three months and if they took him for breeding, the pups should be born soon. I am looking at sites advertising pups...
nikkic
Magda I really hope you find biscuit soon x
magda
No sightings- no information- he has disappeared off the radar! I have run out of ideas but have printed new posters and carry on telling every dog owner I see and handing out posters to people on the train. St Mary Cray Station still has my poster in the window at the ticket office- wonderful people there!!
magda
Total silence- no news from anywhere. Have seen just how many other springers go missing!Does anyone know what percentage of dogs are re-united? And within reasonable time? Have written to local paper again but no reaction yet.
magda
Just heard on petsforum that lovely whippets have been reunited after being found on a travellers site in Essex. WHERE IS MY BISCUIT??? Has he been sold on and they don't want to return him? Has he been taken to a vets and not scanned? What more can I do? Around here he is the best known springer....
magda
THANKS, Essex Girl- let me have your address (on best.williams@gmail.com) and i can post you some posters/flyers. It would be great to know Essex is covered as well!!!

Ellejay- yes , he is stunning and that is why they took him!I have new hope now and every day I pray that it is the day we will celebrate Biscuit's return!
Milly's Mum- yes, Bonnie is a great help. She protects me and makes sure I get enough exercise and fresh air. She is a joy- not a springer, though, ESSJ- it would have been unfair to the new dog as there is noone like Biscuit for me...Bonnie (former Lizzie) is a lab/GSD/collie we think and gorgeous and different so no competition but two distinctively great dogs! I am lucky to have found her. Her recall is already fantastic and her bark will put off any burglar...
Angus Area Coord- isn't she good looking? And maybe I can go to activity classes with two dogs soon!!!!You are all invited to a party then..!!!!Happy New Year if we don't "speak" beforehand and thanks for your support!
ellejay
Just seen your pics of biscuit on your f/b, he really is a stunning boy, and it breaks my heart seeing those lovely pics of him knowing he is not home with you.

So glad you have given bonnie a loving home, and in the mean time help you have doggie company.
I look every day for biscuit , on sites, out and about, etc, I feel like I know him and so want him back home with you soon.
The people who may have him may not know he was stolen, so we just need that chipped scanned to tell all !!!

In the mean time, don't give up hope, it's still a short time, even though it feels like a life time, and I am sure when he is back home he will be saying " nice one mum, you got me a friend to play with "

Millys Mum
magda - what lovely news to hear about Bonnie. I hope that she helps you find Biscuit. It's good to hear you sounding positive again and hope that it won't be long until Biscuit meets his new little sister.

THANKS again everybody! I have found a wonderful female rescue dog - she is now called Bonnie and I hope she brings me luck. You can see pictures of Bonnie on my facebook page under magdalena.williams.I feel that I will find Biscuit soon!!! Hugs to all you wonderful people!

magda - it made me so sad to read your recent post. There have been quite a few reunited Springers lately and I so wanted Biscuit's name to be amongst them. I know that 2 months must feel like a lifetime to you but, in many ways, it's still considered early days but know that this doesn't make it any easier to bear. Someone (whoever has him) is going to make a slip up one day soon and so we all look forward to that occasion. You are doing THE MOST FANTASTIC JOB in making Biscuit such high profile - you really couldn't be trying any harder. I and others are looking forward to that party you promised us. Oh! Magda I am so hoping that you (we) find the gorgeous Biscuit I am always looking out for him and all the other Springys, perhaps over Christmas contact all the others and suggest postering and sending out info for each other you will spread the word that way as sadly he could be anywhere.
Good Luck ! x
magda
Time is passing and absolutely no news. I am advertising in the free ads, (Fridayad/Loot etc) magazines and local paper- even in East Grinstead. I must have distributed a few hundred posters of all sizes. i will make new ones now to make sure they draw attention again. My car looks like a Xmas tree with posters on all sides. I hand out small leaflets to people on trains, have been in a few more pubs in the area....it is now 2 months and it is hard to keep hoping. If the they wanted money, they would have contacted me by now. This will be a sad Xmas!
magda
NO NEWS- am putting up posters and talking to people. I might get a rescue female next week- after a home check tomorrow. I cannot stand being without a dog especially while looking for Biscuit. He will love the company when he gets back. SOON, I HOPE!!! Before Xmas, PLEASE!!!!
magda
Am still down with nasty flue- have not been able to do anything but friend has gone to Sth Bromley for me yesterday. I had a call that a springer like Biscuit was seen several weeks ago on main road there. Many cars stopped and people tried to catch. Of course, no guarantee that it was Biscuit and if it was, then why has he not been handed in yet? My friend went to give people posters and I will go there later in the week to put up some posters in newsagent etc. No other news....
magda
THANKS for the suggestion. I will do so this weekend. I am down with the flue at the moment (most probably due to the constant stress level..)I have poster him on the nationalpetsregister. I will check out the bureau.

Message for magda. This might be a silly suggestion but what about making up a board on a post (similar to what the students use for protesting) with Biscuits picture on it and walk or stand..I know its cold..in a busy place for maximum public attention. Better still get a loud hailer and let everyone know. This might bring attention to the fact that Biscuit is missing and might bring interest from the media if the media are told. Hand out missing dog leaflets at the same time.

No way has he died in the cold Magna they are tuff little dogs I am sure he would have comne home if he could so make sure you Poster well I would suggest A3 or larger by a Motorway Junction & /or main road so drivers can see put on it Police are investigating and that there is a Substantial Reward for information received that leads to safe return perhaps mention Crime Stoppers you will need to let them know, perhaps get local football club/ Dog Track add to their LED billboards when they have a game that type of thing dont know your area but whatever gets large amounts of people together . Were other people burgled on that night/day have you contacted them Could these 'people' be local do you think, Have you been in touch with the local TLO Good Luck! Check out Maisie 26059 you may be able to help each other,,,,please.Last edited: 2010-12-04 19:19:53 by Reynard

Had a call from a man from a pub last night. He said he saw Biscuit the day before in the afternoon in his own in Green St Green and he only saw my poster yesterday so didn't know he was missing. Several possibilities: 1. Hoax, 2. It was another springer going for a walk, 3. it was Biscuit, in which case he has either been picked up by someone or has died in the cold at night.I am going to the area to put up some more posters. There is one at the petrol station if not yet removed. I am also going to the pet shop there again. Not a nice feeling to not know....
Millys Mum
Magda - thanks for your email and, as mentioned, we were clearly talking about two different Baggins as the one I was referring to was one of our missing Shar Peis.
Millys Mum
Magna - I know what you mean about Lullingstone. It's such a lovely place to walk dogs. I had no idea that Baggins is one of Biscuit's best friends (what an awful coincidence). When you are next there (you may have already done this) why don't you go to Lullingstone Castle where the Hart Dyke family live (Tom Hart-Dyke is a well-known plantsman & gardener and who was captured by guerillas in Columbia a few years ago and held captive for MANY months). He has been working on the Castle's 'World Garden'. He and his family are VERY approachable and appear down-to-earth (there was a TV programme about them a couple of years ago). Their Estate is pretty big. Also, in the same area is the site of the Roman Villa (near the railway viaduct) and the golf course Club House which is right over the other side (never been but reckon it's worth a visit). Lullingstone Country Park itself covers an area of 460 acres. We definately need Biscuit home well before Christmas so that he can share the roast turkey with you. Thinking of you and Biscuit often and always checking out EACH & EVERY liver and white Springer boy I come across. I noticed one in Kelsey Park (Beckenham) yesterday but the dog was definately black & white!Last edited: 2010-12-01 11:44:50 by Millys Mum

Hi, I was away at Lullingstone Park visitor's centre distributing posters on cars and to people walking their dogs. Also warned them to watch out as springers seems to be targeted a lot. I did meet several there as the river is ideal for swimming, plus there are fields and woods. One of Biscuit's favourite places.Finding it hard to go to these places without a dog and even harder going for walks with Baggins, Biscuit's best friend...If he has been taken for breeding: how long does it take to show success?? I am so afraid that they like him too much to return. He is such a beauty and has a wonderful temperament as well.He is not trained except for usual home use, but could be a good working dog. I dread Xmas without him!
Millys Mum
Magda, I did try you on your landlime as cheaper for me (!) but obviously called at the wrong time but I'm just pleased to read that you've picked up on this post. I'm looking forward to Biscuit's welcome home party and am getting a little inpatient! Come on Biscuit - show your handsome, gorgeous little face - your Mum needs you home!!!Last edited: 2010-11-29 21:29:17 by Millys Mum

THANKS, Sue, ellejay for the suggestion and Millys Mum- sorry, I have very bad reception at my house and often cannot be reached. My land line is 01689 874386 for weekends or evening after 8. Work number for emergencies only is 0207 008 4556- direct line to me.
I hope next week will be the one! You are all going to be invited a to a big welcome home Biscuit party..!!!
Millys Mum
Thanks Sue! Hope that this extra media attention brings about some fresh information. Have just tried to contact Magna. She's not there at the mo and so will try again a little later.Last edited: 2010-11-28 14:00:51 by Millys Mum

Advertised in The Shooting Times magazine. Good Luck
ellejay
Have you looked on dogs blog ?

There is quiet a few springers on there for rehoming, maybe keep that site in mind incase he pops up on there.
There is a beautiful pure White springer girl on there I have fallen in love with but can't have her.
But any ways, I know it's he'll for you, but try and bare in mind even though it feels like forever , 3 weeks is still a shortish time, so many dogs are reunited after months away. We just need that one person to take him to the vets and get that chipped scanned.
I am prAying biscuit is home for christmas.
magda
Both springers found have been placed or are about to be placed. No sign of Biscuit. Just saw your post for the four dogs which disappeared last year December and have not been found- have to start facing up to the possibility that I also might not find Biscuit for a long time, if ever...tough
magda
The springer is NOT Biscuit- shame! His face is very much like Biscuit's but the line on his head is too wide and on his body there is not as much brown as B has- poor thing - I would love to take him but I am still hoping to get Biscuit back and he is bad with other males on his own home- not anywhere else...THANKS for looking out for me ...
ellejay
There is a found springer male in the found section, in maidstone.. says not chipped, but sometimes the chip is not always detectable if the dog has lost weight.. worth a look ?
magda
3 weeks today- I think I must have aged by ten years in these weeks. I cannot sleep well and eat badly. I miss having a dog in general and my beautiful Biscuit in particular. I feel so helpless, which is what makes this so difficult. I will take the remainder of my leave maybe next week to increase the search with travelling around...I need to know I have done everything to find him. How can I know whether they treat him well??
magda
Another weekend with no news- Tomorrow will be three weeks since his disappearance. Bromley Times has not contacted me. I will call them tomorrow to make sure they run an article. My ad in Friday Ads should be in this week's edition. BISCUIT- where are you?
Millys Mum
Angus - I will forward Magda's email to you.
magda
THANKS for your support. I have written to Millys Mum by e-mail as you proposed. I have driven around late at night to look whether someone was walking Biscuit- no luck. I am getting extremely angry now and do not want them to get away with it!Thanks Ellejay for the encouragement. It is getting more difficult to keep my wits as I see so many springers a day up for sale- their faces often are like Biscuit's but he has such distinguished markings that a picture from the side gives it away. Or do you think they might not pout the right picture up? That would be a bit suspicious, no??? I cannot drive to Scotland to look at a dog who is similar in some way...even though I would love to. No time for it as I need to work, unfortunately.I think my boss is getting a bit tired of seeing my red eyes. I am also terribly distracted and make silly mistakes. Next is the looney bin..COME BACK BISCUIT!!! I want my old life back!
DogLostAngus
Morning Magda - I just wanted to add my support re Biscuit - your are doing such a good job I am just so sorry that you have had not had any joy with the free ads. Re the springer in the kennels can you let Millys mum have the details - we work quite closely with springer rescue and one of them may be able to get him out and into a proper springer home.
magda
Had a false alarm today- a young man called that a springer was found and I went to the kennels to look. First of all, it was not Biscuit but a 5-56 year old springer- he wanted to be taken out of the cage so much- heartbreaking. I have such a small cottage or else I would have taken him there and then- plus another male will not be good wit Biscuit who is quite territorial even with his best friend who he has known from young...ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO WANTS A SPRINGER for Xmas???
ellejay
Hi ya, no i have no posters, how did you send them, as i dont think you have my address.
Sorry to hear that about the possible sight, i suppose least you can take comfort that the police are helping, they didnt want to know when our pup was stolen.
When the scumbags put his picture up, they took a close up, so he looked bigger than what he was, but i knew straight away it was him, but it did get my family members doubting it. They even put a bad description of him, saying he was 10 months old ( he was just 6 months ) said other stuff that was not him at all, they just did a guess to sell him quick... so if you have any doubt what so ever, go with your heart, you know your dog inside out, but just to warn you sometimes pics can look different on the net..
Come on Biscuit show your self, lets get you home before christmas !!
magda
Another day with no news- police thought they found him but markings are all wrong on the dog up for sale. I hope people put the right picture when they offer stolen dogs- or else I would have to go to every address in the UK...how would they explain having a different dog there from the picture they posted..
magda
Hi- thanks for the offer. I have sent you some posters- have they not arrived? I have the Alfies Lost Dogs volunteers helping me. They have gone to some pubs and have spoken to travellers and know a lot of people- the have put posters up in Foots Cray and I have a girl friend in Beckenham who is very actively helping me. She knows Biscuit and is very upset for me. So is the dog walker, Shelagh, who sees more of him than I do in the week (I often envied her picking him up in the morning when I leave for work..)She has asked all the people who walk dogs to look out for him. I have now printed small flyers as people tend to fold the posters I give them- I put those on parked cars.I have used up two sets of printer cartridges already...
ellejay
Magda are you doing this all alone ?? Do you have friends who can help poster furthur afield ??

If i could obtain some posters ( still without printer ) i can poster Bromley, Beckenham and the Catford areas for you..

I know what your going through as previously said, but not to the length of this extent, so my thoughts are really for you, i check everyday on all the free ads, and i check on here to see his progress... He is such a handsome boy, maybe some family have got him and dont know he is stolen or want to give him back.. we gotta get him to hot to handle, so if anyone else can help poster a bit furthur out would be handy.
magda
NO NEWS- NOTHING!!! I am having a very bad time and don't know what else I could be doing. I am getting so angry and feeling so helpless. There should have been some lead by now...I am offering a reward and there are posters everywhere. I am handing flyers out on the trains to London. Every newsagent in the area has a poster. Every vet has a poster. Every lamp post...I DON'T HAVE BISCUIT...
magda
THANKS- Katiekoo- I can do with all the support I can get. It is two weeks ago tonight that they took him so I am having a rough time of it. I know there are some people out there who have been looking for years and i admire them. I don't know how they do it.I live alone, with my having left home and my family living abroad, so Biscuit for me is my baby and comfort and joy. If you know springers, you know what I mean when I say that he entertained me from morning till evening. I looked forward to cokming home to walk him and play and he would only eat when I also sat down to eat- I better stop now as I am getting carried away...Thanks again for your support wonderful doggie people...
KatieKoo
Hi Magda, we 'met' on the ESSW Forum and I wanted to post here to add my support to your search. Keep bumping the thread on ST and ESSW Forums, you never know who might see it.
Good luck with your search, truly hope Biscuit is home safe soon xx
magda
Thanks, Ellejay for the encouragement. I am finding it so hard to look at the pictures and hoping it would be him. There ae just so many out there and they are all beautiful. Some I saw who were nearly like him, just a little freckle in the wrong place... I do hope that they put the right pictures up and don't use another picture to advertise my baby! Springers and Staffies seem to be targeted more frequently than others. I am having an alarm fitted soon and very secure windows and we are never again going to leave him alone for a second! When I find him...Work is hard at the moment as I cannot concentrate well and I think after two weeks people don't accept my loss as an excuse any more. I think Imust have aged by ten years....
ellejay
There is definatly to many dodgy sales on these free ads websites.
I think someone was looking down on me the day we found our Puppy on there, we had been out literally all day everyday, from dawn till dusk postering etc... i came home after the 4th day totally knackered and literally ill with all the crying, not eating .. but something in my head said to have another look on these free ads before i try and get some sleep ( had not hardly slept the entire time he was missing ) .. and there he was on the first page up for sale... if i had not done that, we would never have got him back..
So dont give up, you do need your rest as hard as it is, but dont get ill over it as you need your strength to find your boy, you are doing everything right. WE have had great stories of dogs being reunited after a long period, so never give up hope.. and pray he is home so very soon xx
magda
Still no news of B, but I keep finding dodgy deals offered, Springers for sale which they say they only owned for a month but have to get rid of as their circumstances have changed. They know little of the dogs and the price is also suspiciously low. I think we should do something against all this dognapping somehow. Is dog licensing the solution? People give their mobile numbers but the police is not going to trace them for a mere dog...
Barnaby's mum
So sorry Biscuit is still missing. It must be excrutiating for you. Have taken to sending out posters with any quotes, corres our comapny sends out so you never know !! Millys mum - hi, B & B are both good and have a little sister now (well not so little now she's now a very substantial 2 year old rottie called Lottie) she's the little princess of the pack for sure. Magda so many leaflets out there, well done, they must bring a positive result surely. If any one deserves to get their baby back its you. xx
magda
Another weekend without Biscuit. Spent most of the day surfing the net and looking for springers offered for sale.
magda
NO NEWS- It is heartbreaking and I don't know what else I can do. Have distributed posters in Orpington market, Swanley shopping centre, ASDA, Tesco and on the street. I asked children and parents to put posters on notice boards at schools, nurseries etc. I must have printed and given out at least 5-600 posters in these 11 days since he has gone missing and not one lead!!! What else can I do??? I will post pictures to all vets tomorrow just to be ion the safe side.
magda
Thanks- I am going to distribute some more posters tomorrow and on Sunday I will travel further afield.
Millys Mum
Have amended Biscuit's poster accordingly.
magda
Been advised to take all references to him being stolen off the posters as it might scare people who have maybe bought him innocently-
Barnaby's mum
Sorry not been in touch had to concentrate on day job !!!
Have just sent posters to The Daylight Inn, Royal Oak, Green ST Green, Queens Head GSG, The Buff and Bulls Head Pratts Bottom. Lets hope this leads us to put a lead on Biscuit and give hime a big kiss when he comes home. xx
magda
I looked again at all adverts and none of them is like Biscuit except the one in Ireland- on done deal. ie-nearly like him- just too much of a white line in the middle. The markings from the side ae the surest identification as they are always individually different. Also, my baby has a very long, feathery tail and long ears. He suffers a lot with his ears and I hope they clean them like I do nearly every day as they get infected easily. They smell then and bother him a lot. I hope they take him to a vet and then he gets scanned...wishful thinking!
ellejay
There Is a liver and White for 400 quid on there, round about page 6.
Though I did look at his face more closely and he has quiet a few specks on nose.
JC
please don't forget to post me those posters - still no printer!!! but can flyer br3 area and close by. I emailed you my address last week, JC
magda
The other dog for sale for 400 GBP is a black and white dog, not liver and white...while looking for Biscuit, I am so upset to see all the unwanted dogs. It is so tempting to adopt several. ...but I work and cannot afford the dog walker for several dogs.
magda
The dog in the advert: Male Springer Spaniel For Stud **£250** Morecambe, Lancashire, UK (09/11/2010)- does look very sad but is not my Biscuit. He has a wider stripe of white than my baby and is a chocolate brown, whereas Biscuit is more coffee brown...
magda
Just got home from work and will have a look at the springer on pets4homes- also an Irish website donedeal.ie where a friend found a springer for sale with a dodgy sounding description. I called my keyworker at the police today as another friend thinks he saw my dog on the front seat of a green van in East Grinstead at a roundabout turning towards Turners Hill- any doglost volunteers in that area?? He just saw the face for a brief minute so can be a false alarm, but everything is worth looking into.
ellejay
There is a male liver and white springer for sale on pets4homes wanting 400 pounds... though in cornwall, looks very sad... worth a look ??
Millys Mum
Magna - well done! It was great to hear that you have all those eager and fit cadets on the case. We sometimes wonder how wer manage to keep going but we just do BUT, having said that, you really must take a little time out to re-charge your batteries so that you are on top form to continue your search. It was also fantastic to see that you've contacted all of those doggie-related websites. Just keep strong, because with so many friends and supporters behind you, Biscuit will be back home very soon. It's just a case of the right person spotting that oh so important poster or seeing his details on the web. I know that one of our local PSCOs is also keeping an eye out for Biscuit and spreading the word!Last edited: 2010-11-10 12:36:15 by Millys Mum

I hope my darling Biscuit is well and happy. I wish I could him his good night hug.

I handed out some more leaflets to dog walkers in a park and a cadet training place with loads of eager young men who promised to find him for me and bring him home. It is a week today and I don't know how some poor owners who have been waiting for years can stand it. I am already cracking... Thanks again for all the help and support. I definitely want to be part of the team when I have Biscuit back and have my usual energy level again. At the moment, I am dragging myself along and am useless.
Millys Mum
Barnaby's mum - I've only just realised who you are. It's good to see you posting. It finally sunk in when you said you'd postered The Bo Peep PH and the vets in Biggin Hill. I think we need those 2 policemen 'of yours' on the case! How are B&B? Both okay, I hope.Last edited: 2010-11-09 20:10:06 by Millys Mum

Barnaby's mum and ellejay - thank you so much for helping and supporting magda. Barnaby's mum, by the way, in response to your reference to The Shooting Times (TST) (and Countryman's Weekly - CMW), I have requested that 3 of the missing dogs in our area names are put forward for the regular columns in TST or CMW and so, rest assured (!) they are in the queue for some extra media coverage!!! But, as always, good luck - all fingers and paws crossed this end..x
magda
I stayed at home as I was not well enough to go to work this morning. I am trying to find out what the dog reported dead on the road in Rye Lane was- that is not too far from me off Chelsfield Lane. Would you believe it: nobody knows who picked him/her up and cannot tell me what dog it was, of course.Street cleaners have not picked up a dog there. The RSPCA had an anonymous call about it and called me to look but by the time I got there -no dog anywhere. Could even have been a prank but a cruel one...

I don't know how to attach the small poster I hand out. I try to copy it in. If you give me your e-mail address, I can send it.

Magda really wishing for a positive one this time x I have put a poster on counter where people que in barclays bank, Swanley, on the post office counter in Crockenhill, at Park Vets Swanley, another one up with more info at Goddington Park, and outside Chelsfield train station. I log in each morning hopeing to see him in the "re united" colours. I'm gutted that he's not there YET. xx Stay strong xx Can we have some of the mini posters and i can perhaps place them on cars in the area, good idea Magda !! ellejay/Barnaby's Mum- thank you so much for the encouraging words.I am not having to go to work and waiting for a phone call with thumping heartbeat. I have handed posters at Orpington Station and asked people to put them on their cars. Yesterday was hard as i went to High Elms, where I usually walk Biscuit with our two best friends- Susan and her dog- We handed out another fifty leaflets to the doggie people there and I hope the posters travel far.
I am going to check out all the advertisement now again. I was up till 2 this morning looking at them but will have to cut down to keep up my strength.
THANK YOU all you wonderful people for helping me in these difficult times. This is the second time a dog of mine is stolen in a burglary and I never found the first one (twenty years ago and still painful) so I am maybe more sensitive and worried than I would be if it had not happened before. But I will not let them win by giving up hope that the good will win over evil!
ellejay
So sorry to hear Biscuit is missing, sounds like you are doing everything right. I found my dog not far from you advertised on the free ads that Millysmum has mentioned last year. Obviously they guessed his age, but knew from the photo it was our boy.
Postering really is the key, and go as far as you can, get him to hot to handle !!
Ring Foal Farm in biggin hill to inform them, also animal samaritans in Kidbrooke. My dog trainer i use ( must be the one milysmum knows ) has loads of springers himself, so may be good for him to be aware.
keep at it, and do not give up hope, a friend of mine has just been reunited with her dog after a few weeks, so try and stay postitive as hard as it is. xx
Barnaby's mum
Oh, if you want to look it up to read a positive out come and to help keep you going through this gastly time his name is Buzz and went missing in September and was re united in October so you must stay positive, although we hope you wont have to wait that long. xx
Barnaby's mum
Just a thought as i have just deleted an old email relating to a re united dog. Is Biscuit what is known as a gun dog breed ? Excuse my ignorance in these things, if so, the last dog was re united after being advertised in The Shooting Times magazine. Hope this helps. xx
Millys Mum
The new photo is really good because it shows Biscuit's unusual markings really well - thanks to our co-ordinators for helping Magna. And also thank you to Barnaby's mum for your help in postering and helping to make Biscuit the best known and hottest boy in town. All help and advice in getting this gorgeous boy back home is VERY much appreciated!Last edited: 2010-11-08 11:47:52 by Millys Mum
Barnaby's mum
Dear Magda It breaks my heart hearing how lonely and sad you are without your beloved Biscuit, i know exactly how you feel, and i'm wishing you soon have a re union xx Have put up a poster in the newsagent in Court Rd, Chelsfield / Orpington borders and one outside the Bo Peep PH. Will print off more and put up more as your beloved boy is not home YET.Have you thought about a advert in the Newshopper with a photo ? I think the deadline is today for print on Wednesday. Good luck, lets get this adorable boy back home to his mum where he belongs. xx
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Magda you are doing a brilliant job and the photos are great. I have asked if one of our other clever co-ords can put the photos together for the poster. I think my phone cut out when we were talking earlier. I hope there will be some good news soon. X
magda
Have been trying to put a better whole body picture as extras picture but it does not work for some reason.Magda
Millys Mum
Have just spoken to magda and she is doing a great job in getting posters and mini-flyers out to all and sundry! I have also mentioned for her or a friend to keep a regular eye (at least daily or, if possible, several times a day) on the following websites: GUMTREE, PETS4HOMES, EPUPZ, UKCLASSIFIEDS & PRELOVED. Helper, ellejay was reunited with Dylan the Yorkie (BR1) via one of these ads with the 'seller' placing a convincing 'Tiny 10 month old Yorkie For Sale' ad!!! I will ask her to post to confirm this. Also, I mentioned to magda about asking the 'Springer folk' manning the Springer stand at the Discover Dogs show at Earls Court next weekend (Sat & Sun) to display one of Biscuit's posters. In the past the Met police have been there doing demonstrations and so suggested that magda speaks to one of her local police contacts and for them to ask for Biscuit's details to be displayed. Last year I noticed that the police had 2 or 3 of Baggin the Shar Pei's missing posters displayed on the side of their police van! And finally, as promised, we spoke about Biscuit at this morning's agility class and have given the trainer a copy of the DogLost poster.
Millys Mum
magda - I really am so sorry to hear about Biscuit and know how you must be feeling. Thank goodness that you have such good friends who are also helping and, also, just wonderful to hear about the help you've had from your local police. There is a big story in this week's Bromley & Beckenham Times about the recovery of dogs from an address in Orpington and so it sounds as though you have some great support. We can also let you have some mini-flyers (4 to an A4 page) which I normally just photocopy onto very BRIGHTLY coloured paper. We always advise owners to visit your local Royal Mail sorting office - take along a couple of large coloured posters plus a stack of mini-flyers for posties to take with them on their rounds and for customers, collecting parcels, to take home. Let us know if you would find these useful & I can arrange for them to be emailed to you. Also, please keep us up-to-date on where you have postered so far and who you have contacted so that we at DogLost, can do all we can to help. Have you made sure that Foxgrove Road vets in Beckenham are aware and have a poster. They offer 24/7 emergency cover for many local vets in Bromley, parts of SE London, Biggin Hill, Penge, Addington, etc and so it's important they are aware as they are a very big practice. Also I will be attending an agility class in Beckenham tomorrow and will spread the word as the trainer has 5 Springers of his own and 3 more attend the classes. He also usually goes 'beating' on a Saturday morning and so will make sure he is aware and has a poster just in case someone he knows is offered a Springer boy. I do hope that this weekend brings you the call you've been waiting. But just carry on with what you are doing already and make handsome Biscuit the best known and hottest boy in town.
magda
Fits of all I want to thank everybody for their advice, help and support. The police have also been wonderful and call me every day. Community officers called on me today and took several pictures of Biscuit. The RSPCA has raided some properties this week but have not found Biscuit. It has only been three days but it seems like years. The house seems empty and I have no tears left.
Have distributed a hundred posters in my wider local area and have friends in Beckenham, Bromley and Pett's Wood who put posters on lamp posts. All vets and local rescue places know of my loss. I will start visiting them tomorrow to make sure that I have done all I could. All my friends are praying for us and I will not give up hope that we will be reunited soon.:)
Barnaby's mum
I'm so sorry to hear Biscuit is missing. By the end of today a poster will appear in the Five bells, Chelsfield, and has been faxed to Kings Road vets in Biggin Hill. I will also put one up at the Chelsfield riding school. Lets get Biscuit re united soon, stay positive and keep postering. the more posters we put up the better, lets make him too hot to handle, bless him. Come home soon Biscuit, he looks adorable. xx

I have also sent this out to all my dogwatch contacts in Hayes and Coney Hall.

How awful and utterly despicable too!! I can poster for you in BR3, Beckeham Place park and hand to dog walkers but have no printer at present. any chance you can post me some and I will put some around some popular dog walking spots.

Sorry to see Biscuit is missing.
Please inform the microchip company that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up-to-date.
If you have not already done so contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres.
Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your doglost poster. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right.
You can add comments and update the dog’s status, by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page.
You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. POSTERS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Start postering now!
If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, they can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
Please keep us updated by keeping your dogs page up to date and check for posts from helpers that may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings.
If you believe your dog has been stolen, please inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN) for the theft.Last edited: 2010-11-03 18:09:11 by Millys Mum
