- Spoken to owners and most advice given has been done. Dartford council informed but i had a different number so gave that as it takes them through to dog warden section.
They are checking local kennels- gave them number for ones that dogs in this area are taken to.
Although elderly- Duffy is fit and agile. he was due to be chipped this week after escaping last week but luckily found quickly.
He got out through cat flap and then escaped out of back garden some how. Once picture on site( sending to admin shortly) owners will get posters out to a number of suggested palces. they have taken my number in case need futher help. CJ - 2010-11-08 10:46 Goldenfrodo
- Hi , sorry to see Dufy is missing. Can you please send a photo to admin@doglost.co.uk as soon as possible.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date.
You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
Good luck.
