- Archie is now home with us and although it is early days, he seems to have settled in again very well. We are not sure of where he was over the time he was missing but the person who had him, for whatever reason, decided to hand him in to rescue. They were a bit suspicious and had him scanned and his microchip flagged him up as a missing pet! It was hard to believe after all this time and I was afraid it might be a cruel wind-up, but no, Archie is really home where he belongs, with his real family. There are so many people who have helped in so many ways so I won't start to list them, but suffice to say they all have our heartfelt thanks. I hope everyone will continue searching for all the other missing pets, with renewed hope. Good luck everyone and thank you all xx

- Looking forward to hearing the whole story of his reunion, and I hope this gives hope to everyone searching for a lost pet. I always say that if all the postings I put on FB for lost and found pets in England and France!!! (but you never know) help just one person get their animal home then it was worth it.

- Just Seen this on Border Terriers Lost & Found on Facebook.
Sarah Shepherd - Border Terriers Lost & Found
The unbelievable has actually happened!! Archie is home after four and a half years!!! We never gave up hope despite the lack
of news and we followed up every possible 'lead' but in the end it was only thanks to pure chance - and his microchip - that we have been reunited after all this time. It has been 1678 heartbreaking days and nights since he was taken and he has never been out of our thoughts and hearts. All those people out there waiting for news of their missing pets - DON'T GIVE UP!! All those people
out there who share posts, report found pets, search and poster for strangers - thank you for all you do, and keep up the good work. All those people
out there who
have pets GET THEM MICROCHIPPED!! And all those people who work with animals PLEASE SCAN THEM at every opportunity. We are so grateful to everyone involved in Archie's return - thank you from all his shellshocked family πππΎβ€πΆππ - 2015-06-18 10:19 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- Bumping Archie's page as he is featured in the DogLost column of the February edition of Dogs Today magazine, out now
Do hope it brings news - 2014-12-20 08:04 Sarah
- Thanks everyone for your shares and support. Still no news but still
looking and hoping. Someone knows what happened to Archie - we need to know too! Even if it isnt good news at least we could have closure. All we can hope at the moment is that he is alive, well and feeling loved. We would obviously be over the moon to have him back - what a fabulous Christnas present - but if someone has unknowingly bought him and given him a loving home then we would certainly consider leaving him with them so long as we knew he was happy. Please help if you can. Thanks. - 2014-11-19 09:44 Doglady

- 2014-10-21 11:12 Sarah
- Just want to remind everyone that Archie is still not back home with us. I know it is a long time, but we need news. Even if he is happily living with someone else, we would love to know that he is ok - it would be difficult to leave him but if he was happy at least we would have closure. Please, please if you have Archie, let DogLost know, or contact the chip company.
- 2013-09-23 14:51 Sarah
- Archie is still missing - had a phone call about the irish dog but it wasn't Archie as microchip no didn't match. Not sure what else I can do except every now and again revisiting these sites (also listed on AnimalSearchUK) and checking every alert from them.

- Still no sightings of Archie. Have recently renewed contact with local dog wardens as many dogs are turning up as strays in the Norfolk/Suffolk area. Not giving up on him - he is microchipped! Miss him so much every day. Any information (even if it is bad news) would be better than not knowing.

- Just thought I would post on here to ask everyone to keep on looking out for Archie. We live in hope that he will get away from whoever took him and some kind person will find him and get him scanned. He is obviously still very much missed and any news would be useful. If he has been taken in and is now part of another family we would still like to know because the not knowing is what is so difficult. So if anyone knows where he is please tell us. If it was in Archie's best interests to stay where he is we would rather have that than the constant worrying about him.

- Hi this is Rubys owner, will be looking for Archie too while we look for Ruby. Lets wish us both good luck x
- 2011-03-06 22:43 Sarah
- Thank you Josie - I wont give up hope but as Archie was an 'entire' male I suspect the person(s) who took him wont be in a rush to let him go. I really dont know what I can usefully do but feel bad that I'm not out there doing SOMETHING! Sadly my Mum died in January after a short but traumatic illness and I have spent the last 2 months in Yorkshire so rather lost track of life at home. Although I dont have much time still as there is a lot to sort out, I am at least home during the week now and trying to pick up where I left off in December!

- Archie has disappeared from home, at the same time the owner saw a white van down the lane where she lives, whether this is connected we don't know but a way was left open for him with food and bedding and the owner feels sure that if he was still in the area he would have found his way back.
The dog warden and local vets have been notified. A photo will be with us very soon. I will E-mail general information, and contact numbers, stay safe Archie until you are found xxx - 2010-11-12 19:30 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
