Thankyou all its so lovely. Misty's tag does have our contact details on it and she does have her racing tatoo which has her registered to us as her owners with all her relevent details. She had a big big bath last night and her belly full too. She was very dehidrated and seems to be getting throgh a lot of water but she is good and hopefully will be bk to normal soon x

So pleased Misty is back home. Stay safe sweetheart x

I'm so pleased that the beautiful Misty is back home safe and sound. What a VERY clever girl! As has already been requested, could this precious girl have a chip AND an ID tag on her collar as a welcome home present. An ID tag bearing your surname (not Misty's name), address and contact telephone numbers(s) is actually a legal requirement. Welcome hear Misty!

Welcome home Misty!
LYDNSYD
whoopee!!!! That is fantastic news- you must be over the moon. If only Misty knew the amount of worry her walk about has caused, I bet she is getting mega cuddles right now. At least now you can get back to a normal 'liquid intake' It will be a pleasure to go around and remove the missing posters I've put up. It would be great if Misty could get a welcome home present - a microchip -that is if she doesn't have one already.

Misty is home safe and sound. We had a few calls this morning from around the Theale golf course. She made her way home to the front door at 11.24 am. We are so relieved and i believe the scenting and posters made the big difference.

Thankyou everyone for your kindness and support. Without you guys we might have never got her home x
Philippa
No problem Jason- good luck and call if you need an extra pair of eyes. Hope you find her soon, safe and sound. philippa

Iv done a little scenting now but it seems i need to drink a little more first. I'v left some clothing that was worn today over our fence in the front yard too. Misty is very good at knowing were she lives as she can usually be walked without a lead and knows exactlly were she is going but every little helps.

thank you sarah and philippa. Theale is going to be very busy tomorrow with rememberence so getting in and out is going to be difficult. I think it's going to be a little hard tomorrow philippa but thank you so much and if it's ok ill keep your number just now

Thank you everyone again your are all so kind

Hi - I have a 2 year old male lurcher, very dog/people friendly, and live in Tadley. We could help look for a couple of hours on Sunday if that's any use. Contact number 0118 981 6798.
sarah
If you know anyone that has a greyhound or lurcher it maybe a idea to go looking for Misty with them, they tend to go to their own type especially when they are nervous, hope you find her very soon

jjmcc25 - I will email scenting info to you - if you are doing it back tt the house ensure that it comes straight to the door and leave bedding or clothes by door
LYDNSYD
I'm sure one of the Co-ordinators with send you some scenting info. I know one of the things to do is to use the contents of your Hoover which has familiar smells of home and another thing although it may sound odd -- your urine. I know it's not very pleasant but if you could wee for England and then sprinkle it along all the surrounding areas as long as it leads back to your home - if Misty is in the area she may be able to pick up the scent. If you have a garden leave the gate open so she can get back in. Do you have another Dog if you do take your dog with you so they can do some scenting of their own. If Misty is running scared she may stay hidden during daylight and only come out between Dawn & Dusk so that is a good time to go searching for her. Misty could have travelled out of the surrounding areas by now so you may need to poster further away. Do you get a free newpaper delivered -perhaps you could put Misty's details in that or even get the delivery person to put missing flyers in with the paper. I will poster Castle Hill Vets, the vets in tilehurst also Valley Vets In Pangbourne and will ask them if they could put some up at their Tutts Clump & Shinfield practises.

We have put posters up in the shops along theale high street inc the bookies and salons too. A couple of pubs have taken them in too. The 2 main fields i have stuck posters onto the sides of the bins. I have placed a couple in the golf club theale and along north street too. Also postered at the train station, Bus stops and phone boxes nearby. Lyndsyd if you could get some into the vets that would be so helpful ty. Could someone please give me more advice in how to do some scenting please that would be great

thank you so much again for all your help

Jason

Thanks for Posting on here Jason it's a great help. Have you done some scenting so she can trace her way back home. Hopefully you will have been sent some helpful advice from the co ordinators on what to do. Have you left posters with the local Vets if not I can do some for you. I'm glad that she doesn't like traffic and railways etc but these are good places to get maximum exposure to Posters especially Lamposts or near to Road junctions where people can see the missing posters. I hope to visit Pets at Home (Nr Waitrose) today so will leave a poster with them.Last edited: 2010-11-13 12:04:18 by LYDNSYD

Hi this is Misty's owner Jason. She went missing from the house. She ran out when i was moving boxes out at around 11 30 am on Thursday. She really is a nervous dog and hates the traffic and busy places. So tends to stay away from busy roads and railways.

Thank you so much for your help it's greatly appreciated
ruzep
Will be postering today in Silchester area
LYDNSYD
Do we know any more circumstances of how she went missing - could she have been Stolen? Theale is very close to the M4 motorway, has the highway agency been notified? The last dog that went missing from that area was caught at the M4 Motorway Services so it would be a good idea to leave a poster with them and if possible put one up at Theale Railway Station. Sainsbury's have in the past allowed a missing poster to be put up next to the innner sliding doors at the entrance, it will be busy today so a good time to put one up - I'm not out that way today but I will put posters up around Sulham Woods as there are lots of dog walkers there. If Misty's owners could post on here to let us know where posters have been put up and if there have been any sightings that would be a great help. Fingers crossed that she is back in the warm vey soon.
