Good news! I just spoke to the owner (to share the other link I posted on the chance it was him) and he's back home now :) He did get clipped by a truck which is why he didn't come home with the other dog but it was just a slight knock and he's recovering well.

Just spoken to owner. He thinks that his dogs were let out by somebody as three of them went missing. Two of them returned and this young boy didnt do.
He's informed all the authorities and postered.
Fingers crossed this lad is back home soon.
