Jenny got checked over by the vet today and is perfectly fine. She needs feeding up and we are working on that! I still can't comprehend how she survived the cold for 5 nights but I guess her Auntie Jay must have been watching over her from Rainbow Bridge. I hope this happy ending helps to give hope to people who are waiting to be reunited with their dogs x BTW she is snoozing on the bed next to her favourite ducky as I type this :-)

WOW!!! Just spoken Jenny's owner with a lump in my throat... SHE IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND!! Found in the same area as where she went missing... down a manhole... bit of a mystery as this land has been searched and searched all week but hey... she is home now and that is all that matters.. her sister found her and alerted her owners that she was there. She is now snuggled up with her sister as normal and has been happy and very waggy tailed :)
Stay safe Jenny.. so pleased that you are home.. Lots of hugs and kisses. Adele xx

She's home :-)

Worryingly there have still been no sightings of Jenny, or Jess the other dog who went missing a week before. We have been searching the fields again today and putting up more posters, will put more up tomorrow. Jenny has a facebook page now too http://www.facebook.com/#!/home.php?sk=group_172547289430219&ap=1
we will keep trying local press for more publicity too, I won't rest until she's home however long it takes

Have just been speaking to a lady whose dog Jess went missing not far from here in very similar crcumstances last week. We have both reported to police and are hoping local press might take an interest. Several people saying that they have heard about quite a few Springers going missing in the area.

Email received from owner who is having problems logging onto the site:
"We are pretty well convinced that she is no longer in the area where she went missing. The land has been scoured for over 24 hours and all barns, ditches and outbuildings have been checked.
She is familiar with the walk at the old colliery at Bold and I have put posters there in case she has headed in that direction. It is possible she could have headed towards Winwick and we have put some posters up there but will do more tomorrow."

Jenny's owners are doing a great job and have constantly searched and postered over the last 24 hours... even sleeping in their car last night at the place where they last seen her!
I hope we will get some sightings soon.. i have advised to poster all surrounding counties as this land stretches for miles all around... i also suggested a disposable BBQ depending on the weather tomorrow.. if Jenny is familiar with that land and has indeed ventured that way then she may allow herself to be seen if she is tempted with some nice garlic chicken :)
Finger's crossed for good news really soon. Adele x

I have just spoken to Jenny's owner.. they are still out searching and postering. All the right people and authorities have been contacted.. local farmers and game keepers, shooting clubs, farm houses and fishing estates have been informed.
Jenny simply disappeared from behind the owner whilst out yesterday.. she never followed and never returned to the owners whistle which she normally would.
She may have gone off after a rabbit and then simply lost her bearings...
I have emailed advice and contact details for kennels in the neighbouring area's ie Widnes, Bold Heath, Clock Face etc..... finger's crossed that Jenny is found safe very soon. Adele xx

We spent last night in the car at the point where she disappeared and have scoured the area again this morning but no sign of her. She may have gone through the fields to the Bold/Sutton area of St. Helens.
