- Could I just correct this ... we didn't catch up with Honey, we were following the track she and her terrier friend took when they set off hunting so we were way behind and didn't get anywhere near her. We ended up a couple of miles from where Honey was found and we were running out of daylight. It was Louise, one of Honey's family, who went off searching by herself and found Honey in a field. She had got inside an electric fence and couldn't find a way out of the field. Louise found a way in but had to get help to lift Honey clear over the fence. So no thanks to us, but Wispa got a couple of hours of strenuous tracking practice. It was wonderful to get the call that Honey had been found, especially as it was getting dark and very icy underfoot, Wispa was starting to lose concentration, so we couldn't do any more that evening and were discussing what to do next. Jackie kindly took a turn at handling Wispa who is no fun to walk with on a slippery lane, and we were relieved when Louise came and collected us all in a pickup. It was great to meet Honey who had just enjoyed 2 helpings of dinner and seems none the worse for her misadventure. Last edited: 2010-11-27 01:57:51 by Owl

- Honey often goes off hunting with her friend a JR for the odd hour this time the JR came home without Honey,Owners have contacted dW and police. Its a very very rural area, nearestvillage is Pinkton. Honey is wary of other people and dogs, so unlikely to have been picked up by someone. Owner and me are inclined to think she might have been caught up by her collar. Im emailing out advice sheets and a link to her posterAs she is not chipped ive also emailed local rescues that may have taken Honey inLast edited: 2010-11-24 19:16:48 by Mollychops
