I don't suppose anyone visits this profile now as last comment over a year ago? Says that not suggestion his current owners took him? So who was he with when he went missing, a rescue? New owners?
Kinsally
Please check the Doberman found id 66451 although docked tail.

Sent a text to the mobile number given re: dobe up for re-homing at Wallace kennels dog rescue in Brentwood Essex, looks very similar to Bodie although he goes by the name of Buddy. Please could somebody e-mail Bodie's owner also, to inform them of this boy just incase the mobile number has changed.

Hello. Unfortuately the Doberman we have at Hornchurch Rescue is definitely not Bodie. We have exhausted most possibilities now and will have no choice but to look for a new home soon. He is incredibly nervous, psrticularly on walks which could suggest an unpleasant past but he will now have a bright future.

I have shared with my Irish rescue/grooming contacts who inturn have also shared to their friends. Apparently it is very unusual to see a full tailed dobbie so if he was to venture over to Ireland he would stand out. Fingers crossed the one picked up in Hornchurch is Bodie

Possibly another long shot but I am posting this with a heart full of hope for Bodie's owners: Hornchurch Animal Rescue and Rehoming have a male doberman staying with them at the moment, he has a full tail and apparently he has a distinguishing feature that they have not revealed as they are hoping for the owner to come forward. Could this be Bodie's inverted nipple??? It does state that this boy is not chipped however due to yet another dog ending up in rescue who was indeed chipped yet it was missed I feel I have to post this. There are actually a couple of videos on the Hornchurch Animal Rescue and Rehoming page on facebook, this will possibly be enough for Bodie's owners to decipher if it is indeed him, he is certainly being well looked after whoever this boy is. Please can we make Bodie's owners aware of this x

Slim chance thats its Bodie I know, but if I didnt put this dog up and it was your Bodie, I would never forgive myself...

Good luck, hope he is home soon

Its a slim chance but could no 1271 recently found be bodie. He has same type of tail but does not look tall enough but photos can be deceptive.

I was working in east tilbury the other day and did not see any posters up. The place is full of scrap dealers and recycling plants with loads of dogs. Might be a good idea to put posters up outside them. I would do it but not going back but did think might be a good idea for me to put posters up as i travel around working in Essex and Suffolk in fact the further afield the better. I also had an idea that i would also go out in the car early morning near where he went missing if it was me to see if any one was walking him. Trying to get word to the traveling comunity that there is a reward for his return. Does it still stand? Thought this might get them to look out for him. I have offered to go as a go between if they find him if they don't want to get involved. I have a scanner so can check. Here's hoping.

i have seen a dog just like yours very recent, but this is in the Reading area, on the Kennet Island Estate, why i thought of this is because he looks very tall and this one is the same, dont get to look on here very often at the moment .

I was out in Clavering & Stansted Mountfitchet looking for Casper & Oscar yesterday and I saw two posters of Bodie and I just turned on the computer and see he is on the top of the site today! The posters I saw didn't have DogLost mentioned on them, maybe this would help as they have the "in confidence" number, which may make some people more inclined to ring. Just a thought. I stuck a poster of Oscar underneath Bodie's near Clavering village hall and it does look quite striking now, with both of them - it hits you as you come round the bend of the road. I hope Bodie gets back to you safe and well very soon. I will print off a lot of posters of Brodie from this site and I will poster for him too! x

Sophie,
I have just been on holiday with my Dobe, had a poster of Bodie on each of the rear car windows - been....

From Southminster to Brighton - all along the south coast to Southampton, The new forest - all through the Forest, Exeter, all through Dartmoor, as far south as Lands End, Painton, Torquay, up the east side of Dartmoor, Stonehenge, Port Isaac, Padstow, South Wales - as far west as Rhossilli in the Gower Penisular - and as far north as the top of the brecon beacons!
The complete length of the M4 - via Marlborough, through London along the A12 back to Southminster.

My Dobe's breeder has circulated it round her Dobe circle as well.

Fingers crossed it will bring a phone call for you

I can't make my mind up whether the dog on this link is a doberman cross doberman or saluki cross but worth having a look

There is a male on pets4homes aged 3 for adoption in kent london.

Have you checked all the dogs homes in a 50 mile radius, as even if he was picked up close to home they sometimes send them to a dogs home as far away as this. It happened to someone i know and they only managed to find it on the 7th day.

Sophie, just noticed the pic that was in 'Poster Image' has disappeared....the one that was Bodie lying down with a choc Doberman pal. Were you trying to upload another? For the time being, so there is a photo in that box I have uploaded the one that is also in the 'Extra Image'.
Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex
Well done sophie, hopefully you will get some calls soon. I can't view those photos via the links but if there are others you think would be good on his page email them to me - you have my email. I can combine them on a collage type photo and upload that here to the second photo or via photobucket or something with a link. Will ask our co-ord that does the 'twittering' to Twitter about Bodie too.Last edited: 2010-12-03 10:01:29 by Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex

Sophie2116, sent you an email with some contact numbers and advice. As mentioned on there, I've edited the info on Bodie's page slightly so it reads ok for the poster - this can be downloaded via the 'View Poster' link. Have there been any sightings of Bodie at all since he went missing on Sunday?

Admin
Sorry to see that BODIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (26524)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
