Had an update from EJD. Belle has been to the vet, she is stitched up, crack in her skull and damaged pad on her paw so she is bandaged up, hopefully she will be o.k. and make a full recovery. She is getting lots of TLC from her family.

EJD is going to stay on DL as a helper, which is great news. Sending lots of healing thoughts to little Belle and wishing her a speedy recovery. Jan x

Really happy to say Belle's been found. She has been hiding in a garden on Prescot Road.luckily the people living in the house spotted her and managed to tempt her into the shed to get her safe and read the tag on her collar. She has a head injury which is being stitched tomorrow but vet was happy for her to come home tonight to sleep and get some food and water. Thank you so much for all your help and ideas, it's been really useful, especially as she was lost from an area we are not familiar with. Thanks again

Worth checking M&S carpark after 5pm today. That is where the food Market would have been today and always smells of fish when they have gone. Not far from Moor Street and if she's hungrey the smell will attract her. Last edited: 2010-12-04 10:18:08 by J MO

EJD have you looked by the train station? Quite a wooded area once you get past the station towards the school playing fields. I will be out and about with my girl 2moro to look for her and poster. Also a good place to poster is the Royal Mail Depot as the postman will see it and also the milkmen. I will try and catch my Mum's milkman
EJD
Thanks J MO for putting posters up and for leaflets, the dog warden has asked the cctv people so fingers crossed but nothing yet. I'm going to the market today to ask if any of the stall holders have seen her and give them leaflets. glad you've seen lots of posters about we weren't sure of best places to put them. We'll look again around the station today. Thanks again

Have postered the vets. Walked my dogs around Ormskirk and saw lots of posters about. Knowsley Road that runs off Moor Street backing onto the railway have fairly large gardens and sheds in quite a few. She may be hiding there. Will leaflet drop through letterboxes there over the weekend. Has anyone tried the area by the train station? It nay be worth the owner looking around there as again plenty of places for her to hide. Also we had an Akita went missing in Ormskirk a while back and she was spotted on the CCTV in the town centre. Not sure who checks the CCTV footage but it is worth checking it out.Last edited: 2010-12-03 23:03:54 by J MO
