Am waiting to see if this dog is Buster, bu the ad says brown and white so not much hope. He has never been seen by anyone since the day he left here over 2 years ago, its like the fairies took him he just vanished but I always look at every passing staffy and although we now have another dog, who knows one day he might show up somewhere, fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes well said, I hope these scum pay for this in some way or other, dont you worry Gaynor they will get theirs. You know what though if they did know your feelings it wouldnt make any difference, they dont know what remorse or feelings of love are. And you are so right about the police a waste of time you can do more good yourself. If you do ever find out who took him and you need a hand let me know Id be only too happy. Take care Sharon xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

TO ANY THEIVES TRAWLING THE SITE. IF YOU STOLE MY DOG, I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF SATISFACTION, YOU BROKE A LITTLE GIRLS HEART AND HIS PICTURE STILL REDUCES HER TO TEARS, YOU TRASHED A FAMILY AND MADE THREE LITTLE KIDS ASK 'WHY MUMMY'. IF YOU HAVE THE BOTTLE KNOCK MY DOOR AND YOU TELL THEM WHY. I KNOW YOU WON'T THOUGH AS COWARDS WOULDN'T DO THAT WOULD THEY? IF YOU HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH MY DOG, I HOPE HE WAS WORTH IT, YOU HAVE TURNED SOMETHING THAT HAD A THREE YEAR OLD AS HIS BEST MATE INTO A FIGHTER, I HOPE YOU FEEL GOOD. AND MOST OF ALL I HOPE BUSTER TOOK A GREAT BIG CHUNK OUT OF YOU, IN FACT I REALLY HOPE YOU TURNED HIM THAT BAD THAT HE MADE A REAL MESS OF YOU. I KNOW HARD NASTY MEN DO DOG FIGHTING, BUT IF YOU ARE THAT HARD AND NASTY COME AND KNOCK ON MY DOOR AND TELL ME WHERE HE IS, DEAD OR ALIVE. YOU WERE BIG ENOUGH TO STEAL HIM NOW BE BIG ENOUGH TO ANSWER FOR HIM. IF YOU STOLE HIM FOR MONEY, AND SOLD HIM, YOU WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER CLAIMING THE REWARD, SO STEAL HIM BACK THE REWARD IS BIGGER, AND SHOW SOME COMPASSION TO A LITTLE GIRL WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND AND JUST MISSES HER MATE. SHOW EVERYONE THAT YOU DO HAVE A HEART SOMEWHERE AND BRING HIM BACK TO MY BABY.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks to everyone who keeps trying and keeps my chin up a little. To clear the confision I am Gaynor, Busters mum and blue lives a few streets from me. Both have the same circumstances and as with most dogs up here, it seems the same stinking theives, and the same problems with lack of help from the police. We have come to the conclusion that as the police won't help the only way forward is to deal with it yourself. According to the police the dogs are not stolen unless you see them being stolen, just missing. So I presume that your house isn't burgled unless you see the thief carrying your TV, your TV is only missing!!! So beware people if you see 2 travellers in a blue transit van emptying your house, they are not burglars, as your possessions are only missing, they are not nicked. I know 90% that the same people are travelling the country and I will catch them one day. Buster might be dead, sold or fighting somewhere but one day I will find out for sure. Excuse the sarcasm but oficial people are not flavour of the month with me at the moment, its ridiculous. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can anyone else with dogs missing for a long time think of anything else I can do. I am really down today and on the point of giving up. I am clinging to the thought that buster has been sold on and is now living in a happy household with children to play with like he had here and he is totally oblivious to the pain we feel for him. have done the police, posters, newspapers, magazines, computer, kennels, rspca, rescue centres et and I am sick of running into brick walls whereever I turn. IT almost like the aliens took him as he seems to have vanished from the planet. If anyone can think of anything I haven't done please give me some advice as I am rapidly losing hope of ever seeing him again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

got a call from georgia today about a staffy floating in the river don. Her bloke had been to have a look to see if it was blue but it wasn't as it was black. Went to see if it was buster, wouldn't recommend anyone else goes to look though. Hopefully whoever rang georgia saw it was a staffy as when I got there today I couldn't recognise it as a dog even. It has no legs, is bloated and you can tell its furry but that is about it. If anyone is connected to the river don and has lost one, it is black but where busters white is just on his chest, this white comes right up round its face, does anyone know where to go to get it out. It might have a chip on it but I have no idea who to phone to get it out of the water. I think it has been in there quite a while and to be honest if I didn't know I was looking for a dog I wouldn't have even known it was a dog, so I would not recommend anyone else go look at it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Gaynor, don't wanna get your hopes up but because i put an ad in the paper i've had a phone call. A women called Zoe said that her staffy went missing too and she found hers at this house in Thorne. Apparently there was a few staffies there and one that looked like Blue. I THINK zoe is from clayworth lane?? near sainbury, her dog went missing on the 14th Feb. Anyway.. they're a rough family, not sure what their interest in staffies is but i think Buster could be there too (for some reason) I rang the police and they are coming to see me and hopefully i will be going to this house 11 Willow Crescent to see if he is there. Its nearly 1 in the morning and still waiting!! WHEN i go i'll look for Buster too. Feel free to ring me 07861 29 39 09. If they don't come by the moring I'm going there myself!! Not sure what i'm gonna do like.. Also..Not sure but This Zoe heard that the kids of this family was braggin that they had pinched her dog. and a neighbour of this family confirmed that her dog was there. but to be careful. this neighbour didn't give a name. Hope something comes out of this xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

THATS WHY THEY ARE NOT COMING HOME!! they wont want to either if that what they are doing all the time... ha ha... not had chance to put any posters up today... long shift at work.. will put some up over the weekend... although its starting to do my head in cause the kids or whoever keep pulling them down.. spoke to lady at council today as liason officer wasn't there again. She is going to direct him to the site hopefully, to see what suggestions he has. Most of the sites he visits are fixed and they are law abiding and treated like council tenants. As the travelling gypsies seem to be the main cause of the problem, the only real contact he has with them is to move them on or see what they are doing. It is risky for him to go on and say here give me your dog. Hopefully he will have some suggestions for us and leave them on here, keep checking.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I'm Jakes Owner, the JRT stolen 21/1/05, Even though Jake is JRT from what i have been finding out from my local area is the gypsies love staffs!! Has anybody spoken to any Gypsy liason officers? if this blue van man lives on a gypsy camp, it maybe council run. Maybe try calling around the local council to see if they have a gypsy liason officer, and speak to them, and see if they know of anything! I spoke with a lady yesturday who has also had her JRT stolen and she knows a gypsy liason officer, she has informed me that when they go to the camps they scan any unfamiliar dogs, maybe if you send them a poster and they see your dog, then they may just scan him, it maybe that they have had you dog along time now and he has not been scanned yet. With Jake he was stolen three weeks ago and has disappeared off the face of the earth, unfortunatly, not far from where Jake was stolen a staff was stolen and seems it could be the same person! I wish you all the luck with your search, and i'm sure you will get your dog back one day, hopefully very soon!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

your buster is nearly the spitting image of my neighbours staffy that was stolen 3 years ago she never gave up hope but unfortunately she was found at the side of the road in sheffield in a dreadful condition after being thrown from a blue van NOTICE THIS BLUE VAN KEEPS CROPPING UP ALOT though how she got from huddersfield to sheffield is a mystery she was only notified because the vets where she was taken to luckily scanned her and notified her although they said she was in a awful condition and had obviously just been stolen to breed from they reckoned she must have had a litter every season the poor dog anyway the vets reckoned she was suffering too much so she was put to sleep.so my advice to all staffy owners is get them chipped and speyed if you are not planning to breed and put clearly on there name tag this dog is speyed and hopefully we can prevent this happening again!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Buster was taken in a blue hand painted transit van. The police were more than useless. I searched everywhere, did the newspaper making the front page, put up posters and he has vanished. HE was 3 and my baby is 3 they grew up together and she thought he was on holiday. This holiday is now hard to carry on. She now thinks Buster lives in the computer which is really hard. Buster has only just gone on the site in error although he is on many others. I was looking for him on this site check out the information on blue staffy missing 8/2/05 as I have been trying to help find Georgias dog, and think I have found a pettern to this. Lily said that she was chased off the traveller site at Chapletown by two irish men. I checked out the reunited staffys and quite a few of them have been returned by and irish man, some have been found on traveller sites and the dogs seem to be going missing in groups from the same area. The van I saw was custom built with dog cages in the back of it, sadly the police wouldn't help and I lost it. Maybe it is a bigger concern than I actually thought with the irish travellers being the connection. If anyone has any information regarding the van, sites or irish travellers please let me know and maybe we can all get our dogs back. The only hope I have is on the day buster went I spoke to the RSPCA and they said 7 dogs were reported stolen that day, all different breeds, and to their knowledge there was no dog fighting around, a relief for me, they were being stolen to be sold on as they were all pedigree dogs. SO hopefully buster will be living with someone somewhere and might still turn up. He is chipped but that hasn't helped and we do have another dog now, but sadly although I love rocky it is not the same and I am always looking out for Buster. Any help from anywhere would be greatfully accepted as time is quickly ticking by and he has been gone nearly 6 months now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
