I'm so sorry to hear this.

It's so sad when they end up on the railway line or the road or in water but an accident is an accident. However, it annoys me so much when I read about those shot by farmers. It's about time the law was changed to make farmers think twice before they take this action. All they care about is the income they may lose through lost livestock.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.

There is always food and water and warm Spring weather. The old frail animals are young again. They play all day with each other. There is only one thing missing, they are not with their special person who loved them so much on Earth.

Each day they all run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears rise up! The eyes are staring! Then suddenly, this one runs from the group! You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her into your arms and you both embrace. Your face is licked again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separate

Sadly it would seem that Rubi was shot by a farmer in the fields that she loved to run and play in. Unfortunately I am unable to prove anything, the police have carried out enquries as well. R.I.P Rubi Chik, miss you loads xx I would like to thank everyone that helped with the search for Rubi and also a special thanks to Doglost. xx

hi reynard, i have rang everyone i can think of, visited the farmers up ballards ash yesterday, nothing there, cant establish what farmer owns the sheep in the fields behind ballards ash!! i have been told that a dog was shot by a farmer for pestering his sheep. not able to get any info on this though, do you have any contacts that may know this iformation?

Email from owner:"The lead with the person who saw Rubi get into a car has now changed their story!! Very disappointed .The Evening Advertiser, said they will hopefully get a feature in the paper before Christmas
Fingers crossed for good news."

Someone has come forward and confirmed that Rubi was stolen from Whitehill Lane the day she went missing. Please don't stop looking for her but I do know she could be anywhere. If anyone sees somebody with a red staffy that has not had one before please ask questions. She needs to be home with me. Thanks x

Hi. I live in Wootton Bassett and regularly walk round the fields where Rubi ran off. I went for a long walk round there today but unfortunately only saw some pheasants, crows and the deer. I'll keep an eye out when I'm out and about over the weekend.

Was in the mentioned area this morning, spent a couple of hours walking, calling and routing through shrubs etc. Asked many people if they had seen a red staffy, unfortunately no luck. Done scenting and left treats by scent, will go back later. Saw the posties bike but could not find the posty! All is crossed x

Possible sighting of a Red Staffy at the back of Sainsburys Wootton Bassett and owner is trying to get hold of the POSTIE that'saw a Staffy'so seems good news RUBI was probably looking for food and its under amile I would say from her home . Have adviced owner to do Scenting & put food down in the area and to Poster. Fingers & Paws crossed xxx

Thanks for the Photo of gorgeous Rubi, I have contacted the Swindon Dog Warden. I am still waiting to hear from owner but should now have my email with all the advice, please Poster,Poster, Poster! as someone may have seen her or taken her in and will need to know she is missing.
