- Thanks Titania777, for the update and all you have done to help in the search. Dog's can look completely different when their coat has been clipped, I always recommend owners of longer coated breeds supply photo/s of groomed and ungroomed. So pleased William is back home where he belongs. Jan x

- Will is safe at home now and snogging his big mate Arnie as I type :)
Long story but quite interesting I think ;)
A lady found William either Wednesday at another park nearby or then Thursday in Trent (her English was not too good and the story did change). She didn't know anything about micro-chipping. She took William home and because he was grubby took him to the groomers who cut his hair off and it cost her £40! When asked which groomers (wanted to know if they had a poster), she then said that it was a friend. She said Will had no collar on when she found him, so she had bought him a new one and a little coat.
She had seen a poster when she was at the nearby park (not Trent) with her teenage and early 20's children (who spoke perfect English), so had thought she should call Will's owner, Teri.
Teri called my friend David, who was nearer and he shot over there. William was at the lady's house, so he took the lady home, collected William and came back with them as Teri was arriving.
As you can imagine, Teri was just so very happy to have William safe and sound and is eternally grateful to everyone involved in getting her little boy safely home. She said to me she keeps looking at William and he just looks so different..... YOU ALL KNOW WHAT I AM THINKING DON'T YOU? Anyway - poster power has worked yet again! - 2010-12-12 18:01 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

- I'm so very pleased that hear that this litle lad is back home safe and sound. Great work Titania777 and to William's family, friends and supporters for making him the hottest and best known boy in town. Also, it was lovely to see you posting, albeit in worrying circumstances. Welcome home William!!!

- Thank you Aunt Stef.x No sightings still today and it's such a huge area to cover, we really haven't got enough people on the ground searching. On Google Maps if you put 'Trent Park Enfield' in the search, William went missing around the light green area to the right of the D marker. Lots of open space and agricultural land to the North, plus small lakes, streams, wooded areas, etc. He could still be there somewhere but we just haven't seen him! He goes in the car to Trent so if he was off his normal route, could be lost (but should've been quite vocal about it). Will's Mum is not doing well but we are trying to keep her spirits up. Postering/leafleting going OK but I urgently need help on the actual ground now.

- Only got news about William today. William was re-homed by one of the rescues I help with. Owner has no internet access so I will update with any info. People have been searching since Tuesday and hand-written posters (in sleeves) are being removed and ripped up (not the park authorities as we have checked). I'm mailing posters and flyers to another friend and once printed they will blitz the area and hand deliver to houses, etc. Informed owner of where to poster and what to do re calls. Hope this little one is home soon as he didn't have the best live before being rehomed to this lovely lady. Stay safe Will - we're coming for you baby.x

- William was in the woods on the East side of Trent Park with another Pom. The owner called them and the other Pom returned but William didn't.Owner has contacted Battersea and has been putting up posters that are being ripped down. William is a rescue dog that was rehomed a while ago.Last edited: 2010-12-10 14:47:58 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
