Fantastic news. I'm so relieved. Welcome home Bobby and stay safe now xx

My heart was in my mouth when I read she'd been found wandering on the A2. That road is unforgiving. What a lucky girl to have been picked up by the police. That was a fair distance from her home.
Welcome back Bobby and stay close to mum this time.
Sylv xx

Thanks Lonewolf - i just got a message to say the same - wonder where on earth she was??!
lonewolf60
On behalf of the owners, they would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and actions, Bobby was found by the police a short time ago wandering on the A2 she is now safely home, it seems someone may have taken her in as she is in good condition, again thanks.

lonewolf email now sent by CJ to you - sorry my email for some reason won't send out any mail. Hopefully it will help you. If you need me i'm on denise.ford@blueyonder.co.uk - although I can't guarantee I can reply on that today or 07702 862937. good luck!
lonewolf60
yes no problem , Broom Hill has been checked frequently, along with usual walking areas, I'm usually up til the early hours so any emails can be actioned as soon as they get sent.

hmmm close enough. It's a bit late at the moment for me to call owner but I think that scenting is worth a try between the two houses. enough alleys behind houses for a dog to hide in in this weather so could well be hiding out there. Alternatively Broom Hill is only up the road and there's good cover in the woods there. I'll get the scenting advice emailed to you if you can pass it to the owner?

Her old home is within 3/4 mile, however the previous owner has moved, but the people currently there have been contacted by the current owner, description/contact number given, previous owner should have been contacted by now ( owner was obtaining phone number a few hours back ) though he still lives in area. She has been with current owner for at least 3 years.

great... how long has it been since she lived at her previous home and is that very far away? the nature of a loose dog is to attempt to go home and if she thinks that her old home is that place she could well be heading that way...
lonewolf60
Ok Sherlock Bones I'll add Viking Oak to the distribution list/contacts.
DogLostSherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator
lonewolf can you also check that Viking Oak kennels have been informed? If Bobby wanders just up the road towards Gravesend Road to Higham, she'll be taken there rather than to Jasmil. Worth making sure...
lonewolf60
@Ashmark Yes that matter is in hand .

Have emailed the poster to my daughter in Frindsbury xx

Thank you lonewolf60 your help is really appreciated. Might be worth making up some flyers and pushing them through doors just in case someone has taken her in. Just noticed her dog tag has previous owners address on it. Has anyone made contact with them.Last edited: 2010-12-20 22:31:26 by AlisonH

I live next door to the owner, I can confirm that the police RSPCA, local vets, police and dog warden have been informed, also Jasmil kennels informed. Just finished printing off some posters and they will be put out asap.

Really close to Stanhope Vet Surgery, who usually take in strays then pass on to Medway Civic Warden - they take to Jasmil Kennels at Upchurch.

Thank you Shelties mum she ran off from a property in Montfort Road, Strood.
DogLostShelties Mum - Area Volunteer, Kent
This is the Strood area, but I need to know which part. It's snowing heavily just now so she's hopefully found good cover. Strood is an area where at one end there's lots of countryside and the other is built up. I'll email the poster to someone at Medway City Vets, but the owner needs to poster at Tesco, Morrisons, Medway Gate and Medway Valley and even the train station.
Hoping she's okay. There are a lot of main roads in this area.
