Sadly just seen this on a Dogwatch alert- posting as this message has been sent out on dogwatch- 3. Spaniel Found Dead

Unfortunatley the working Cocker Spaniel that went missing from a shoot at Farley Hill Reading on 27/12/10 was found dead on 17/01/2011 in a nearby lake. We reported this incident erroneously on 7 January (Dogwatch 575), but we are assured that, sadly, this time the information is correct.

I looked for her in Lost but Lady has already been moved over to Rainbow Bridge- so may need to be substantiated.

If this is true the Run Free Beautiful Lady xxx

What a relief it wasn't Lady, altho very sad for the dog who has sadly drowned. Hope Lady can now be found safe and sound!x

New message from dogwatch alerts today
Last Friday we reported that the spaniel lost at Farley Hill on 27 December (Dogwatch 572) had been found drowned. This was a case of mistaken identity. The spaniel concerned is still missing and we sincerely hope it will be found alive and well. We apologise to the owner for this error.

I have left a message on Lady's owner's mobile voicemail asking whether she now had confirmation that the dog that fell through the ice was Lady or whether (if still unconfirmed)that they are still searching for Lady, in which case, we will move her back to the Lost section.

Spoke to DW there is no sightings of this dog, we do not know that she is at the bridge, hopefully not. Owner requested we leave on site until we know something 100% so moved back to Lost.

Have just seen on the dogwatch alerts that Lady has been found but has gone to Rainbow bridge after falling through thin ice and not able to get out. Run Free beautiful Lady xxx I'm so sorry x

**other info: it also says on another lost dog site that Lady is microchipped and was lost on an organised shoot.
