- Hi , it's nearly a year since smith got lost after being frightened by kids playing on sledges , we have had no luck in finding him alive or dead :-( I do still check out any posts on here and check the dog warden although smith was microchipped so we would like to think that would be checked if a dog warden had him

Found Westie in the Wirral Pound, does say he is chipped. Email sent to alert (Emma) wirral groomer of it. x - 2011-10-02 21:16 wirral groomer
- Hi I still check these leads out , smith is still missing no trace of him at all and nothing ever came of his owner writing to all the vets , all we can hope is one day his chip is scanned and his mum gets him back , I saw a westie very similar to smith with a slight limp on his hind leg being walked on leasowe rd but there was a lot of traffic I did turn around when I could and drove back but there was no sign of the lady or the dog so I am keeping my eye out , if I see it again I'm going to try and give him a stroke and see if he has a cyst on his neck and ask I few questions . We could do with having an alert sent for when people leave messages on his post as I haven't checked for a while . Be amazing to get him home as I still get asked about him and think of him .

- Can the owner check out the Stray aid website and ID ED205-11. Looks like a Westy that has been out for a while. Very small but may have lost weight anyway. Very scruffy looking. worth a look. x

- There is a scruffy Westie Male stray who has been picked up in Eastham, Wirral. Needs a good trim and grooming! worth a look just incase it was Smith as if he's been wandering all this time his coat obviously would be very scruffy now! doesn't say if he's chipped!?

- Hi, did check out the found westie (emailed the rescue twice and got no reply off them) it didnt look like smith :-(. I had a girl call saying she saw smith and was sure it was him on the 6/7th of january and she said he was on the motorway (m53) by the b&q turn off , She said she pulled over onto the hard shoulder but when she tried to call him he ran on the the motorway itself but wasnt hit then ran back down the embankment towards the golf course and wallasey so she couldnt chase him . I also had a lady call only last wk and she said they where coming around the bend off the motorway approach rd onto leasowe rd going towards wallasey village on the 10th Jan and said there was a white fluffy (dog) as it was too big for a cat that had just been hit by a car and was on the grass verge she believes it was already dead but very fresh as there was still bright red blood on the body and the road , she said she could not as the bent is very tight and the road was busy. She called out to her husband "thats smith the missing dog" so when they got home they got gloves and a bag and drove back to the spot to collect him (its one way so you have to go right back to the motorway to get back to the bend . She say they where less than half an hr but when they got to the bend the body had gone but the blood was still there!! she thought we would of found out as he was microchipped so didnt call straight away (very frustrating) . We have rang the dogs home and the street collection people and nothing was picked up that day and they still knew about smith anyway .. he only thing i can think of is maybe the person who hit it/him has driven back round and picked it/him up or he/it wasnt dead and has crawled into bushes or something , the problem is that bend is very dangerous and we would have to walk right up the slip road to search . i have driving slowly passed and so have smiths owners but couldnt see anything, so we are none the wiser yet again :-( why would anybody pick up a dead dog and not report it ! we called the police to se if anyone had reported hitting a dog but there was nothing reported, we are still searching and stalking people with westies . Smiths owner has just written to all the vets we can think of in case this poor thing wasnt smith (although it was the area we had all the sghtings in so could well of been smith) just making vets aware to scan westies as smiths skin will be starting to flare up as the weather warms up , please keep asking and looking though and thank you for still thinking of him. i did mention tohis owners about maybe putting an appeal to the person who ran over an animal on the 10th to give us a call but cant imagine them owning up to be honest, there is another westie missing/stolen from leasowe rd now too which is called blue :-(

- Emma, thanks for updating us. It is very frustrating when you are working so hard and there is no definite sighting leading you to him. I did check with Halewood RSPCA and the found one in L24 was claimed by its owner. When I mentioned Smith to the RSPCA they were aware of him which was good. Hope someone does take him into a groomers or visits a vet over his skin condition. Jan x

- First i thought he must of perished in the awfull weather before christmas but we have not had a body discovered anywhere so we are starting to think someone must have him or know where he is . We live about 5 min away from the Liverpool tunnel so could easily have been taken there. Ill check out the Accrington dog too. Im still giving out flyers and have posters on my front door and cars so people are aware he is still missing . all the posters dianne put up have now been ruined by the rain so need to get some more out with still missing on them, I ve been really busy with work lately and need to buy a laminator. Please keep looking for him . hes out there somewhere :-(
- 2011-02-01 20:30 wirral groomer
- Hi everyone , Thank you for still looking for Smith , He is very sadly very much missing . we have had no news at all. Ive checked out a few westies and also brought my own microchip scanner to check any new westies that may come in for grooming , he skin will be getting scabby now as he was on daily medication to keep it down, and his coat will be very long and scruffy so if someone has him who cares he should be visiting a Groomer or Vet very soon. we have told most vets and groomers in the area. Im hoping they will realize he is quiet a high maintenance and give him up.

- Thanks Deb4gsd the found Westie in L24 would of been taken to Halewood RSPCA 0151 486 1706, they do scan any dogs on arrival, hope to call in there in the next few days but will try and find out more tomorrow. Where Smith has gone missing from is over the water and he would of had to of been taken through one of the tunnel crossings or over Runcorn Bridge. Jan x

- The last two sightings we had in on the 6th was one on the verge on the verge of the bidston wallasey fly over and one on the verge by the bidston roundabout but not one call since , i wish we could make some kind of pattern from these sightings or at least have some more we have not had one call since the all that on the 6th surely he has not been picked up and not reported again!! His owner thinks he would be easy to pick up by a stranger as he is very friendly and placid. He has severe skin allergies which will be starting in the spring so will hopefully have to be taken to a vet as he is on constant medication for this so his owner is going to write to all the vets in april. also spoke with street wise who collect any dead bodies of animals found in the area and they said they have only had cats and foxes in over christmas. so if he has perished in that awfull weather he must be deep in undergrowth or he was picked up and the finder has not reported him. We looked on google earth and you can see how vast the area is, if he had kept walking straight he would of ended up on the leasowe golf course so im going to get some flyers to the golfers there tomorrow afternoon to look in bushes on the course.spoke to the vets too and they said the lady who found that westie cross which wasnt chipped borrowed a lead and was returning it on monday so they said they would tell her about smith and to call me if the dog she found wasnt claimed. so must of been that dog (no collar no chip and they get it back within 24 hrs) poor smiths owner said they never let smith off the lead anywhere but harrison park co they thought he was safe in there.Everyone ive spoke to already know about smith and my dog walks take twice as long with people asking about news of him, Cant understand how he has stayed undetected for so long dead or alive. fingers and toes crossed for some news soon .x
- 2011-01-12 22:16 wirral groomer
- Still no more news :-( ,. Thanks deb your right all the sightings and the reports of a westie being dumped where all on the 6th so hopefull not related to the westie cross found on the 8th. I spoke to smiths owner the other day she said they had two more calls of sightings of a little white dog on the 6th so that was 5 all together on that day! why couldnt it of been one of us the saw him :-(. poor smiths owmer spent the day darting around for nothing
- 2011-01-10 17:02 Deb4gsd
- this is what I was wondering, is the westie x the same dog the woman brought into the vets? could be worth enquiring at the vets that she took the dog to, and ask if they remember the dog being brought in or who the woman was so you could possibly contact her! Fingers crossed for some positive sightings!
also, I think the fact that someone had seen a red car pull up in front of Smith when he went missing, then another report of a red car dumping a Westie on the 6th is a bit of a coincidence. Also the Westie cross that had been found and returned to owner on the 8th had apparently only been reported missing on the friday, the 7th, which is after the reported sightings of a Westie dumped and a white dog seen in Leasowe Rd. - 2011-01-10 16:18 DianeM
- Is this definately the same dog that was in the vets? It might be worth ringing the all the vets in Moreton, again another long shot but worth a try. Its so frustrating not knowing what has happened to Smithy, your right Emma that area is so vast, I don't know about the scenting, would Mr Poole know? or Jan will respond when she sees your message. We will keep up the hunt for him, either way as you say Smithy's owners need closure.xx

- No new news of Smithy :-( . I had a call early on saturday morning from a lovey concered man who had seen all our posters and who was in the vets in moreton cross when a lady came in with a westie she had found in an ally way by the train station neutered male about six . He said she had taken the dog home with her and was going to report it too the dog Warden, After a very hetic phone around trying to get the number of whome she may of phoned . I managed to get hold of the out of hours dog warden who told me a westie x shih zu had been found that morning in moreton and returned to its owner who had registered it lost the day before. Makes me wonder if this was the little white dog seen on leasowe road early in the morning :-(
Dont know what else to do ? Is it too late to try scenting around the gun site, Even if we found his body at least we would know what happen to him and he did go missing at the time it was -7 outside . So many questions un answered . Did the red car pick him up or did he run past ? did the red car dump him ? Just wish we had something to go off, Im thinking he body be in bushes somewhere around the gun site but the ares is so vast. - 2011-01-07 13:03 wirral groomer
- I've Knocked on all the houses behind lidl this morning spoke to a few people and put flyers though the doors of the others one lady told me where there are teenage lads one in particular who's dad happened to pull up at the same time . He said his son and another lad from the road where hanging out on the corner last night , they also happened to own a scruffy Shih Zu . Which could have been the dog seen with them . I told him about the calls and the upset they caused and he said he would speak to his son after school he also took some posters as he is a taxi driver . Sounds like a dead end so the last sightings where still leasowe rd yesterday morning by two separate callers . Thanks dianne you never know if someone saw anything .
- 2011-01-07 12:45 natalie
- This all sounds so strange! I agree that he was probably picked up and then dumped when his posters were seen everywhere, and then perhaps one of the young boys found him and took him home, it was maybe the boys mother who called and said they were outside lidl. You never know, but hopefully it is Smith and you hear something else today and he can be back home where he belongs! Natalie

- My boyfriend is going to call lidle tomorrow to ask if they have CCTV outside the store . another strange thing is both myself and smiths owner thought the caller was an old women as they kept calling me darlin and love , unless it was a lad trying to sound like an old women! The signal was really bad , smiths owner said it was a women that rang her and she could hear a baby in the background . They said have you lost the white dog ? We have him and we are outside lidle now . I said I would be two mins and can they keep hold of him and they said "yes ok love " my mum said maybe the lads had him and let him go too . A theory I had was maybe they live behind lidle and it was a older women who rang and sent the lads to wait with him . This would explain why there was no sign of the lads when we drove around as we where there within minutes so they couldn't of walked far . We drove down cross lane but not the little rd where the houses are . It's all so strange . There was also a red car outside lidle with a man , waiting outside and a baby seat in the back smiths owner seems to think it might of been him or a women with him who rang us . I spoke to the man and he said he lived on raleigh rd . I think this is just a coincidence though . None of it makes sence . :-@ let's hope any news is good news :-/ . I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything new .
- 2011-01-06 22:37 DianeM
- Emma this is awful, you do get some cruel people in this world, I can't imagine what poor Smith's family are going through, think you have done right with witheld phone numbers, people claiming to have Smith and looking for the reward would not withold their number or disappear when you arranged to meet them. At least you might had an id on Leasowe Road, we are all behind you, we will keep looking for this little man. xx
- 2011-01-06 22:30 Deb4gsd
- it's definitely sounding like the people in the red car have picked him up when first went missing, has now probably panicked because of publicity and dumped him rather than hand him in incase they get in trouble for not reporting him found sooner. As you say there have been reports of sightings of him since a dog was seen dumped. The boys who phoned obviously had a dog with them as a witness had seen them standing outside with the dog. what has happened since that is a mystery, why haven't they phoned back? wonder if the dog escaped while they were waiting? maybe they have handed him in somewhere or took him home untill tomorrow. I can imagine what the owners are going through, one minute thinking they have found the body of their dog, only too find out it isn't him, then suddenly get these calls of sightings and someone saying they have him! I hope tomorrow brings good results and they are reunited with Smith!x
- 2011-01-06 21:48 wirral groomer
- It seems strange that we have had no new sightings then 4 toady all around leasow rd. also the call we had the other day said they saw a red car pull up in front of smith when he was seen heading towards the gunsite, Then a call today about a westie being dumped also from a red car ! then the sightings crossing leasow road which could be after he was dumped there. Then tonight we have both had calls from people saying they have him, only for us to find nobody there yet a man in the shop told me there where lads with a scruffy dirty little white dog standimg out side when he pulled in. Our heads are spinning today . Its still sinking in the the dead dog is not smith after all. Ive redone some of the posters jan sent me adding on the sightings and changed the Reward to Large Reward i have also added we will be no longer answering withheld or blocked calls as smiths poor owners have been on a few wild goose chase`s and the call we had tonight was withheld! Whats wrong with people !
Im going to post the new flyers though the doors of the houses around lidle in case someone saw or knows these lads that where seen with the dirty white dog.
His poor owners where near to tears when we saw them today its so unfair. - 2011-01-06 18:49 DianeM
- Oh Emma what a day you have had!! I can't see someone dumping him, if they knew he was missing they would have known about the reward. I just hope these lads aren't having a laugh. I hope tomorrow brings more positive news xx
- 2011-01-06 18:47 wirral groomer
- They had withheld there number ! I don't usually answer blocked numbers but I thought it might about smith. I'm going to put some new posters there highlighting the £1000 reward and hope they call back asap . Does sound like he is becoming too hot to handle! . His owner said she saw a group of kids by the houses behind lidle but they didn't have a dog . They could of hid him somewhere though and been watching . I'm in work all day tomorrow and out tomorrow night but will put some flyers though the doors of the houses where the kids where . Just hope he stays safe until we find him :-(
- 2011-01-06 18:30 Deb4gsd
- Sounds like someone may have had him all this time and then dumped him because of all the publicity. Have you not got the number from the lads who phoned you? hope they get back to you.....which if they know there is a reward, then I'm sure they will! Fingers crossed he's back home very soon!

- We are getting the run around today . :-( smiths owners had a call this afternoon from someone saying they saw a "RED" car pull up in raliegh road on the leasow estate this morning and throw a westie out of the car and drive anyway ! The dog ran off , we then had two calls early today reporting seeing a small White dog cross leasow rd from the direction of the leasow estate . Half an hr ago I had I call from someone who said they had found the dog and where outside lidle on leasow we got there within 2 minutes to be met by smith owners who also got the call . There was no sign of smith anywhere . Just before we left I spoke to the lady on the till. Who had seen nothing but a man future down the que said there where 3 young lads on the corner of the road holding a scurry looking White dog . We have drove round and round and the dog and the kids are nowhere to be seen :-( :-(
- 2011-01-06 16:57 Deb4gsd
- So relieved for Smith's owners that the body found was not that of their own dog and that there has been possible sightings of him! so sad for the little dog who had died, but he now has a lovely resting place thanks to these caring people! x

- Got some more positive news, the rmains of the dog found on hoylake beach has being thoughly examined today and scanned all over, No chip was found and on looking at the dog in day light it looks more like a small smooth coated terrier not a westie smiths coat is soft and quiet curly. the owners husband said it looks nothing like smith !This poor little dog has now been buried with a little rose bush on top of his grave in smiths garden. The search continues for Smith :-)I think two seperate people have now called over the sighting on leasow road this morning , one lady said she was on her way to work early and saw a little white dog at the side of the road, he then crossed over the road and walked along the pavement on and in front of the market gardens towards wallasey, its very encouraging sighting there cant be that many little white dogs with limps in the area surely, He is a big scave too so the owner said he would eat anything hungry or not, there are a lot a stables around there where he could be finding food and shelter, might be worth speaking to the horse owners. So glad we got the dead dog scanned, Smiths owners seemed much happier when i spoke to them this afternoon. finger crossed for more sightings .
Emma - 2011-01-06 15:51 DianeM
- What a rollercoaster this is Emma! We have been up and down Leasowe Road this afternoon after reading your message. This recent news is very encouraging, we will have another look around the area tomorrow xx

- An appeal is going out on city fm this afternoon for smith the radio also did an appeal this morning too ! Had a call from a lady last night , she saw smith going down towards the gun site and saw a red car pull up in front of him so thinks that car may of picked him up . The sighted White dog this morning had a limp , just spoke to the owner who confirmed smith has a limp too . They are going to search the Market gardens tomorrow and try to put some food down although there are a lot of foxes in the area .
- 2011-01-06 11:53 wirral groomer
- I've just had a call from someone reporting a sighting of a little White dog on leasow rd Wallasey this morning and it was limping ! only a stones throw from where smith went missing from. Going to have a quick drive down there , Mr Poole went yesterday to scan the remains of the dead dog. But dropped the scanner on the way in and broke it !! Now trying to track down another one . You wouldn't believe it :-( .

- Hi Thanks Natalie . Is it Frank ? I've had a look at him he doesn't look like smith and Frank is 11 , smith is only 6 and have a more silky coat , but I'll give them a call tomorrow and ask if they have checked for a chip and get some more details , I'm sure a rescue would have checked for a chip , you would hope so anyway ., but thanks so much for thinking of us . No news of the deceased dog being scanned yet mr Poole said he would let me know when he has been , :-(

- Hi there, i've only just seen this page and read what has been going on and i'm hoping the little dog found wasn't Smith. I just thought i'd let you know there is a westy male at Rochdale dog rescue, under the urgent dogs list. He looks a bit bedraggled but obviously he would if he's been living rough for a few weeks but please check him out to eliminate him. Natalie

- I know its a heartbreaking situation who ever this poor little mite is.
Smith is advertised in the wirral news again this week and has been in the liverpool echo all week.
Mr poole is amazing he has never ever refused when we have needed any help regarding dogs we have found. We found two dogs once that had been hit by cars at the side of adual carrigeway one one was dead and the other close to death . After calling the out of hrs vet i was told to "find a farmer to shoot the dog" (no chance) so we put it in the car and told them we are on our way with it and they still said they would not treat the dog without having proof of payment . Having no purse on me i then rang Mr poole who rang the surgery and confirmed they would pay any bills , Thankfully the vet accepted and the dog was treated they even had a team of nurses ready to get it out of the car for us, Amazingly he survived was reunited with his owner after 2wks in the vets . Its nice to know there are people out there like that. - 2011-01-04 19:43 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
- Emma, thanks for updating us and how sole destroying for everyone to have to deal with this poor decomposed boy. Keeping everything crossed it is not Smithy and my heart goes out to the found dog and his family.
A massive thank you to Mr Poole, you are an angel. Jan x - 2011-01-04 19:07 wirral groomer
- I've managed to track down two scanners and a very very kind hearted mr Poole from heswall animal welfare who has agreed to go the owners and recover the dog for scanning . He told me there are two small White dogs missing in the area that he knows of . smith who is microchipped and another one who is not microchipped , so if it's not smith this other poor dog may now have been found . Either way fingers crossed a chip will be found and we will know who this little dog is . I'll post the out come as soon as I know anything . Thanks again everyone for all your hard work, smiths owner said her Internet isn't working so she has not been able to log on .

- Hi Emma, to be honest it doesn't sound like a definate id, it is worth speaking to the vets that Smith belonged to or the rspca, I know there would be a charge but it has got to be worth a shot you all need closure one way or another, I keep everything crossed that it isn't Smith that has been discovered. xx

- Thanks Jan yes i did receive the email and posters which i have been putting i also went to th golf course yesterday and give one to put up in the golf shop, I also managed to sneek in as a golf was going in and spoke to the bar staff and the office staff , nobody has seen or heard of a little white dog and told me if a body had been or will be found it would of been reported to them (everyone knew about a big ginger tom cat though ) I was feeling quiet hopefull yesterday :-( If anyone else knows anyone in this area that might be able to help with scanning this found dog in case i cant find anyone please let me know , apparently vets would charge a call out fee .

- Hi. Today i have some very sad news im afraid. The badly decomposed body of a small white dog has been found in a shallow grave on/near Hoylake beach . Smiths owners went to see the found body and although it was so decomposed they have brought it home and buried it in there garden as it was so late and no vets where open as by the time they got there is was about 7.30pm and very dark(and it stank), This sadley would make sence as the last sighting of smith was running towards the gunsite/ shore area and it is small and white. The owners have not given up hope and are still advertising and looking for smith as this poor little found dog was not wearing a collar and smith was when he vanished ! also ive spoken to the owner who said this little dog had tiny little feet and she said smith had big feet for his size. The owner of smith cannot stop looking for smith until she knows and is still sadly hoping someone has picked smith up. Ive contacted a few friends to try to locate a scanner to scan this dog as smith is microchipped and someone who is not sqweemish and would if needed dig this poor little dogs body back up to scan if the scanner cant penatrate the soil. The owners cant face seeing it again as it was too upsetting but would really like closure or hope in that he might be still out there, so I have said if I can find a volunteer and a portable scanner would they like the body scanned which quiet rightly they would. This is so sad because something horrible has happened to this little dog wether it be our smithy or not as it has lost a foot and looks like its been savaged by something as its ribs where exposed on one side if it is smith someone has done this to this placid little guy and removed his collar and taken the time to bury him! not sure what i should do now if a scanner cant be found . This is just the worst outcome to find him dead is one thing but to find him like this is truly heartbreaking :-( ive not rainbow bridged him whilest there is a glimmer of hope .

- My partner today has put some posters in our car windows, just a thought but if all friends and family could do this, people will notice that Smith is still missing. I hope Smith's owner is bearing up, it was dredful when our little girl went missing, we did get her home safe and sound. If I can do anything more to help just give me a shout xx

- Hi all, just put some more posters going into Leasowe, Moreton and Meols including Kennels there. I am sure by keeping Smith's profile high someone must know something about his disappearance. Has he been in the local wirral papers yet? xx

- Just been at grove rd train station on my way to work . To find my poster which I dropped off last wk not displayed and one of Dianne's lovely posters in the bin !! Went to my car to get new ones and spoke to the ticket men about why Dianne's was in the bin and mine not displayed and informed them of the effort people are going to to make these posters ! He told they are not allowed stuff on the posts only the community display board so ask why mine was there and gave them I new one which they put on the display board whilest I was there . Finding these poor dogs is hard enough without heartless people making it harder . I told them I will gladly remove the posters myself when we know more about what has happened to little smith. I have also put on that he is" still "missing .

- Thank you so much for your hard work Dianne . We have seen all the posters , a lot of mine have been taken down in shop etc now cos they will only display them for a certain amount of time . I've just got new ink for my printer and printed some of the dog lost ones out cos they ate more eye catching then the ones we did . Couldn't see our poster on the gate at flynns piece. (dog walking field) so we have just walked down there with a new one and saw Diannes put one up already and ours is in the phone box . We haven't got a laminator either :-( . I know smiths not my dog either , I'm still so touched by people putting in so much effort to find this little guy . Everywhere we go I'm looking for him . Spoke to my friend who works at a local vets and she going to check there lost and found book and make sure the vets our aware about smithy so they check for a microchip on any "new" westies that come in! I'm starting to wonder if he has been picked up or has died in dense bushes at the golf course . Even to know what happened to him at least his poor owner and us can stop worrying and looking . So sad I feel for everyone on here who has lost a dog and can only imagine the relief of getting them back . Did we get a response back from the golf club ? I've also relisted him on gumtree cos my last add vanished.

- hi folks , Thanks for all your help. this is a really long shot but ive just found an ad for a found west highland white terrier between 3yrs and 7yrs on gumtree . - Dianne, thanks so much you have been there yourself and know what it is like. I'll email the various size posters to you and Karen. Will try and do an emailing out for Smith from the list I have. If he is in the golf course he may well of found somewhere to hide up and will be safe away from roads.
I've found an email for the Golf Club and emailed details of Smith but there is guarantee it will be read. Jan x - 2010-12-30 18:27 wirral groomer
- If anyone knows any golfers that play on the golf course on Bayswater rd could they ask them to look for him , we have not been on the golf course because we didnt think we would be allowed on . My dad heard in the local shop that the shop assistants daughter said that she saw a little white dog run into the golf course on the same day. The golf course has been closed over xmas but i will drop some posters off tomorrow if it is open and the owner has not done it already. cant believe we have has no other news since the day he went missing :-(,

- Little Smith has been advertised in the local paper today, ive also advertised him on Merseyside gumtree lost dogs tonight (thank you for the link) We have been walking my own dogs on the gunsite and the surounding areas but have seen nothing so far,Ive been in work all day today so will look again tomorrow, now the snow has cleared if he has taken to the bushes due to the horrible weather it may now be easier to see him. Ive also contacted some other westie owners that bring their dogs for grooming, Most of the people i have spoken to already know about him, but there most be someone out there that knows something we dont as the road he was seen running down is the main road off the motorway so is quiet busy yet we have only had one sighting :-(. I have also put a poster on the window of my car . Jan i think you must of spoken to Rita (smith`s mum or aunty) its her landline ive given . emma x

- Spoken at wirral groomer tonight, who is doing a fantastic job in the search for Smith. He is being advertised in quite a few papers which is great. All the right people have been contacted have advised some others to try. The local RSPCA is closed until after the Christmas break which is somewhere a finder may take him. Will do various size posters a.s.a.p. for family to help them in their search. Jan x
