- Would suggest postering outside Travellers sites and also speaking to Travellers Liason Officer at your Council, giving description of Jack. Am sure this helped in recovering our Parsons Jack Russell pup who was "dumped" at Martock, Somerset. Making Jack "too hot to handle" may be the key. Good luck x

- Did you have any visitors or any party's there that day, just wondering if maybe someone had taken him or whether he may have gone across the lake if it was frozen over. if Jack never left the estate normally, then he must have stayed there unless tsken away. Sorry, just trying to think out loud. Hope you hear someting soon. Liz xx

- Hi Jazzdiva, no Jack does not have a Facebook page whilst I have a Facebook account that I have never used and would have no idea how. If you could set up a page for Jack I would be so very grateful. If thre is a cost I am more than happy tp pay whatever. Many many thanks. Chris

- I have printed off more posters and flyers and will distribute at our agility club which starts back this evening after the xmas break. Have also e-mailed poster to friends in the Midsomer Norton area.
Chris, have you tried getting an article in the Somerset Standard which covers the Frome/Radstock/Midsomer Norton area. They have run lost pet articles before so is definitely worth a try. Unfortunately back at work now so time is more limited, but won't give up doing what I can.
I so hope Jack is found soon, there are many people out there who understand what you must be going through. - 2011-01-04 13:33 Lisa123
- Not in that area myself but have added little Jack to my twitter page. I know exactly how you feel Chris. Hope this little man is home soon x

- I am back at work today so will be able to print off some more flyers. Has Jack got a Facebook page yet? I am happy to do this if not, it was instrumental in finding Rosie another Jack Russell lost back in the summer.

- Hi my name is Chris Vincent Firstly thank you all so very much for your help in finding Jack. I bred Jack obout 7 years ago and he has been by my side ever since he lives in the Big House at Orchardleigh and came out with me for a walk on Boxing day about 10 am he was alegdly seen about 5.30 we were told he was shut in a shed by Garden House but he could not have been as he can and regularly does go under the door (big gap !!)he has not been seen since. We have spent every day since searching for Jack thers was a sighting today in Tesco's car park in Midsummer Norton of a dog which could have been Jack we drove to Tesco's but again nothing. Jack was loved so very much and his disapearance is devistating we would do anything to get Jack back. I would be more than happy to pay a reward of £2000 or a simmilar donation to a dog lost charity for his safe return. Unless you have lost a dog you love you could never imagine the heartache. Again my thanks to all of you who are looking Chris Vincent.

- I have been out this morning, but no sightings. Some posters already up - have added a few more. The golf club have agreed to display a poster in their clubhouse so that golfers are aware. Local vets already informed. Have e-mailed posters to local dog clubs I have contacts for.
Unfortunately, this is a very difficult area to search. It is a big estate, much of it private land with sheep on and the rest taken up by the golf course. Searching is mainly restricted to footpaths and it is a big rural area. Will keep looking. - 2010-12-31 11:32 Poochie Freak
- Bath Cats & Dogs Home is aware of him, I've posted a link on the Home's facebook page so that other local people will see. The home has very kindly asked the manager of their shop in Frome to put a poster up too.
Really hope he's found safely very soon. - 2010-12-31 01:08 Jazzdiva
- I will go out to Orchardleigh tomorrow too, hope Jack is home safe and sound soon.
- 2010-12-30 20:47 Spindle
- Thank you Skylark for posting. Gave owner a whole list of numbers to call this morning which he was doing, Bath Ca and Dogs and Happy landings amongst them. Hoe someone has taken him in, he is much loved.Last edited: 2010-12-30 20:48:00 by Spindle

- Has this area been postered? I will go and search tomorrow morning and poster the area and local vets if not already done so. Also worth trying Bath Cats and Dogs Home (01225 787321)which is where most local stray dogs are taken or Happy Landings animal shelter in Shepton Mallet (01749 860350). There are several dog clubs in the area who will no doubt have members who walk their dogs in the Orchardleigh and surrounding areas. I will try and get contact numbers for them. I think there is a gun dog club that trains around Orchardleigh and there are regular shoots in the area, but not sure how to find contact details for them. Here's hoping Jack is found safe and well.

- Do you have any more information about where in the Frome area he went missing? It would give a starting point for people to search. I live in the Frome area and can help, but don't know where to start.Last edited: 2010-12-30 15:45:39 by skylark
