- I'm sorry to see that you've lost Rex, but without meaning to sound at all rude, where you have put in "other info":
"Must be this dog-although helpful, please don't call or text if it is a collie or vaguely similar looking as we are currently looking/continuing our search"
Why not a Collie ? Your dog is a Collie.
I have to say though, it’s not fair to basically say “It must be this dog, don’t call if text if it isn’t”
How would we, as strangers, know if a found dog was definitely yours or not?
If people who are strangers on this site, are willing to look out for your dog, you should accept that people may be wrong, but at least they are trying to locate him, don’t forget, you know how your dog looks, we don’t, we only have a photo and we can’t say whether a found dogs is definitely yours, only you can do that.
If it were me, I’d rather people ring me with info, even if it turned out not to be my dog.
