- On Gumtree there is a female black lab been found in Lower Ballinderry, I think that's about 25 miles from Newry (according to Google maps!).
The ad says:
Black lab female found in Lower Ballinderry area 9/1/11
Please contact 02892 652851 the finder's name is Vivien.
Probably a long-shot, but stranger things have happened.

- Hope you find her, I'm very close to the area so I will keep an eye out. I will ask in the vets in Newry today if they have heard any word. My mum seen a smallish red labrador x pup in Lurganare yesterday, possibly dumped, just putting it out in case there's any connection (no sign of dog anymore). Also contact Banbridge/Newry and any other dog wardens anywhere in the area, they work in strange ways and I have heard of them covering each others' areas. Also worth calling up to the pound kennels to take a look yourself, even if they've said they haven't got her, just in case (I've heard it happen before..)

- Meg was stolen from her kennel between 9 and 10.20 pm on 31st December. Owner has notifiedthe police , has put her on the local radio stations, and will get her in the papers. Ive suggested sending her posting out to as many dog wardens as possible. She is micro chipped thankfully.I will email out advice sheets

- Sorry to see that MEG is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (27313)

- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.

- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
