WE HAVE GOT HER!!!

Absolutely over the moon. She was finally caught in a field behind a garden centre. She actually walked past her owner then started running off again. So Owner started shouting 'WALKIES! WALKIES!' Something must have twigged coz she stopped then starting running to owner.

Thanks to everyone for your help...

Many Thanks
Sherie

Been out twice this morning along bank at bottom of dib road, no sign of Holly, hopefully though it looks like she is staying in the area she knows, and will give herself up soon.
J MO
Just got back from driving round the area and didn't see her. Posters still up but due to the rain will need renewing but hopefully she will be caught by then. Come on Holly show yourself

Sherie, great there has been another sighting and her family are getting the calls, it is only a matter of time. Don't forget the calm approach if anyone who knows her does spot her, it is important to give her time to recognise who it is. Good luck.

Thanks J MO for all your help and advice greatly appreciated. Jan x

BUMPED due to sighting.

|We have just had a phone call that Holly was running in a feed on the Banks Walk as I call it... Entrance opposite the water works and trails along a banks along the marshy area... We have a bunch of people there now...We have contacted both west lancs and sefton, they have just logged her as being missing. Sherie

Sherie, I was out yesterday looking and handed loads of posters out to dog walkers and horse riders. I also bumped into a chap who was also looking. I have been out today anx approached Banks from the Hesketh Bank side in case she had ventured further but no sightings. Which Dig Warden have u contacted Sefton or West Lancs? West Lancs Dog Warden had a good dog trap and if she is in the same area this may be the answer and if she's hungrey you may be able to bait her with smelly food. My friend lives in Banks and is also out and about looking for her
Sherie
Update: No joy been out from early this morning. Pretty miserable morning weather wise. Had call that Holly may have been caught but it was a lab that was picked up to weeks ago. Resident etc all on look out so hopefully some comes of it. In for lunch then back out. Thanks Sherie

Spent a couple of hours driving round postering and talking to dog walkers and horse riders. Bumped into the family whk are desperately searching. Sightings yesterday but she was the otherwise of a ditch and they couldn't grab her. The good news is that she is in farmland and in an area where she is regularly walked and away from the roads. Home for more posters then will go out again. Hope they catch her soon

Thanks doglover for posting your helpful advice greatly appreciated.

I've emailed advice/info earlier tonight to Sherie and advised on how to behave if they see her and suggested having a BBQ in the area, hopefully the smell of it will draw her in and she will pick up the scent of her family. Labs are led by their nose especially where food is concerned. Photo/s grouped together for the poster and various size posters emailed to Sherie who maybe a relative of Holly's owner. Have sent a text to owner but not had a reply yet. Various size posters also emailed to J MO and Sandra R. Jan x

Hi Sherie, Very pleased to see more sightings of Holly and sadly not unusual for a dog on the run to be nervous even of her owners, Would it help to walk her sister with you when looking for her, she may respond to her sister and want to approach, also when sighted try to stay calm, little eye contact and stay low down,Just a few thoughts I hope will help bring Holly home, Good luck x Last edited: 2011-01-14 23:21:03 by doglover1

We have had 3 sightings of Holly in the Banks area...Nearly had her twice but she is so scared she is running away even from her owners Holly has been missing since Monday and is roaming Banks Area.
