Good luck GreyhoundGap tonight, everything crossed for you, sorry this boy is not Wes but he needs to be caught and safe. Lizzy not sure if I'm right but Slit in one ear could be the removing of the dogs ID, ie His ear Tattoo!!!
Unknown
Really sad it is not Wes, but hope this dog can be caught "what does the slit in the ear actually mean"? and why do they do it?
Greyhoundgap
Sadly its not Wes but it is a blue brindle with white chest and amber eyes. Probably Saluki x Whippet and about 8 with white face and pepper marks on his nose and the *tell tale slit cut out of one ear!* We saw him regularly last night twice within five minutes of being there and the third time he was very interested in me till some man whistled and he took off. We continued to wait and he came back an hour later and this time stayed, we fed him continuously from 11.15pm to 1.15am this morning with him getting within inches with me and he was not leaving whilst he was still hungry. By the end of the two hours we had him eating out of my hand happily but one twitch of a limb and he would have been off. Once he was full he left about 1.20am and we decided to call it a night knowing full well he would be off to sleep it off. We have requested the garage staff stop feeding him now and will go back and do the same again tonight and tomorrow night and fingers crossed he will start to wait for the van and get happier to see me! I have never seen such a fat stray he has obviously been looked after and looking after himself very well.
Unknown
Good luck to you keeping everything crossed here for you that you are rewarded by bringing him home.

Greyhound Gap are currently trying to trap a dog who fits Wes's description living near to the main A38 in Eddinton in Derbyshire. I got a sight of him last night and our volunteer who was with me saw him again tonight and rung me as she feels there is a strong chance its him. He is just smaller than a saluki very handsome blue brindle boy with a white bib on his feet and has been feeding from the petrol station staff for 6 weeks now. We have tried to call the owner just and no answer. I will keep trying. Its a bit far from me to keep going over every day but he is feeing every night at a regular time and could do with his owners contacting me so I can arrange for them to be there tomorrow evening to try to identify him.
