I did not get chance to ring finder today but I did send an email to animalsearch last night and had an email this afternoon from Stephanie saying:

Yes this was the dog and they have been reunited, thank you for your help.

Looking at the photos - looks more like a blue roan?? ie - grey/white with black patches. Hope this helps

This does looks like the dog on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk. He is described as a 2 year old male with white markings on his chest. Brindle is only a mile or so from where he is found. I am going to try and log onto the other site and point them in this direction.
