- I am so sorry for everything that you have endured since the loss of Lola - her death is such a terrible tragedy and I am so sorry that you had to witness it first hand, thank you for having the bravery to talk to the local press and raise awareness of some of the terrible things that can happen to our beloved dogs. Lola is safe from pain now but her owners will continue to suffer due to someone elses greed - I am truly sorry xx

- Thank you all for your kind words. Paula came over to our home tonight and has been so very. There are indeed GOOD people out there.
Lola was buried this afternoon with her blanket and toys. We intend on putting a tree over her so she can feed and grow into it.
This has been one of thehardest days of my life. I found myself just screaming at home this afternoon through sheer anger. We hope to try and stop this happening to at least one dog owner. Hopefully we have an article going in the local paper to inform people of the dangers. We shouldn't have to be scared of owning dogs - which we are now I must say.
Thank goodness to sites like this, which volunteers go above and beyond the call of duty with kindness.
Our baby is running in rainbow bridge now, and though I type this through tears I'm at least glad of such a place.
We would like to say to those that have not found their dogs not to give up hope. This story has a hideous ending but is rare and dogs can be found safe and returned unharmed.
Thank you again. x - 2011-01-17 15:15 Deb4gsd

- I have spoken to owner who is obviously very distressed. Posters were put up yesterday and it appears that someone found Lola and took her in for the night but she made a mess so was put in a kennel. She escaped and ran up the road where she was hit and killed by a car - the car driver didnt stop or report the accident to the police as is the law. A kind lady saw Lola in the road and pulled her off and contacted owner who was close by making enquiries anyway. Run free Lola xx
