- I've been away from here for a few weeks unfortunately but remembered Digby as he'd gone missing so close to where I live (and has been found even closer to where I live!). Great news.

- Wow, brilliant start to the day! been following his story and checking this area as I pass through every week. Where was he found; was he with somebody or still running free? what condition is he in?

Without the help of this site and the support from everyone, Digby would still be lost. Thank you for being instrumental in re-uniting me with my boy.

- We found a flexi lead on Saturday and this has been confirmed that it is Digby's. The good news is that he is hopefully not tangled up anywhere...but he is still out there somewhere!!! Fingers crossed you get home soon Digby xx

- Thanks Frankie - owner was working her way through all those councils yesterday so they should now all be aware of Digby. There is an organised search on Saturday - details on Digby's facebook page if anyone local is able to get there. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/home.php?sk=group_195513620462682&ap=1

- I meant to add that if Digby has crossed the park, he would come out to Trottiscliffe itself that is covered by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council. Also, the park falls under co-administration with Kent County Council. All a bit confusing but all these council's dog wardens - as well as Sevenoaks, Maidstone and Dartford - should be notified if they haven't been already.
- 2011-01-27 16:07 FrankieB
- I'm sorry to see Digby hasn't been found yet.
SherlockBones
Vigo is at the very edge of the area covered by Gravesham Borough Council. Just before it becomes Tonbridge & Malling (at Wrotham) and Sevenoaks (at West Kingsdown). - 2011-01-27 09:20 Japanese Shiba Inu Rescue UK
- emailed posted to secretary of Canterbury farmers club, asked for it to be circulated.

- We spent over 3 hours at Trossley this morning but to no avail. There was no sighting at all. I think a group search is defo the way to go as there are a lot of places that he could go. We checked in places that he could have got caught on but nothing. Also please can someone go and put some posters on the notice boards in the park itself as there is none in there. My printer is not working at the moment...thxu

- The park is managed by Kent County council rangers - I've emailed them the poster.

- For those of you intending to search, here is a map showing where Trosley Country park is located. It is in the village of Trottiscliffe (pronounced Trosley - hence the park name), between the villages of Meopham and Wrotham. If you are coming from Meopham towards Wrotham, Trottiscliffe and Vigo are on your left. http://www.kent.gov.uk/ExploreKentGIS/Map.aspx?page=1341
- 2011-01-25 10:34 Sherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator
- Joined :) I think the rangers are all travelling ones from Gravesham council aren't they Sylv - although I'm not 100% sure that Vigo is another council entirely? Would Trottiscliffe come under Sevenoaks perchance?
- 2011-01-25 10:29 Shelties Mum - Area Volunteer, Kent
- Are there rangers for this park because they could be a big help? Most rangers walk their parks. Will keep an eye open for him

- Really worried for this dog, as spoke to owner today and she tells me he was wearing a lead. Concerned that he is tangled up somewhere. Is there anyone who can help owner with a ground search? I know shes doing her best but time is running out IF he is tangled up somewhere, its been over a week now since he went. Thanks
- 2011-01-23 17:41 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- Also emailed to the park rangers plus the KCC community wardens . they have the link plus a picture description and contact numbers if sighted and warned that Digby is nervous.

- Oh my goodness, the poor lady. I have mailed this to the local police contacts so they are looking out for him. will make contact shortly. x

- Still no sightings of this dog reported. I know he wouldnt go to anyone, its hard enough for those who know him to catch him. @Sherlock Bones...I spoke to owner last nite and gave her as much advice as I can. Maybe shes not answered your email because she broke her hand when she fell in the dark Sunday nite while looking for her dog. Maybe you could text her? 07738499462 thank you Dee..much appreciated :-) I feel so helpless being so far away in Shropshire.

- Sorry I am in Yorkshire and too far away to help poster but I do know this area well having lived not far away at one time. I would think Trosley Countrypark would have rangers of some kind ......... has anyone tried to make contact to alert them about Digby ? I think there are refreshment facilities there too where it may be possible to leave a poster ( if its open at this time of year !) - Thanks Frankie for suggestions. I will try and make contact but not in much today. if anyone has emails for these vets they can use the email button at the top of Digbys page and send direct for the owner
Posters have been sent out to local helpers so hope they will log in and read that this owner needs some help. - 2011-01-20 21:44 Japanese Shiba Inu Rescue UK
- Can anyone local PLEASE help the owner with postering etc. She is a retired lady who hasnt been well and really needs some help in getting this dog home. We are based in Shropshire so difficult for us to help with the practicalities.

- This is a dog that rescue rehomed to the current owner in Nov 10. He is shy with strangers but very harmeless, he wont hurt a fly. He is neutered and microchipped. PLEASE ANY SIGHTINGS CONTACT 07737499462 OR 07956418207 THANKS

- Other vets you may want to notify are Elands in Kemsing and Pilgrims in West Kingsdown.
Also, notify Battersea at Brands Hatch, the RSPCA at Leybourne, Viking Oak in Wrotham Heath/Borough Green, Lincoln Kennels in West Kingsdown and The Nook in Cobham.
I will give posters to the pubs here in the village. I walk my dog in Trossley sometimes and I will keep an eye out. Is Digby nervous with other dogs or just with people? My dog is placid and friendly and tends to attract other dogs. Do you think there's any chance Digby would come to him if he were hiding in the bushes there?
Good luck. I hope you find him soon. - 2011-01-18 20:53 FrankieB
- What a beautiful little dog. So sorry to hear he's missing.
I imagine they have already been your first port of call but, if not, please let the Meopham Vet Surgery know (the same group owns the Sevenoaks and Swanscombe veterinary practices so cover quite a bit of the local area) and Pennards Vets in Borough Green (who also have a practice in Sevenoaks). - 2011-01-18 20:11 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
