- hi i really dont think this is a grand bleu or cross, i would say she is a foxhound. we can get mottles as strong as this one, which explains why people saying looks pointer like, good luck in finding the owner, hugs to the girl

- I can't believe this gorgeous girl hasn't been claimed yet!

- It is now thought she is a, Grand Bleu de Gascogne x Foxhound
So Owl, a Foxhound X is right!
No owner has come forward!Last edited: 2011-01-24 20:19:20 by Reynard - 2011-01-24 11:56 Owl
- The general feeling on the GSP group is that the ears are not long enough for GBG or coonhound, but several people think she looks like a foxhound cross. One person suggested pointer x dobe.

- Beautiful girl! The colouring looks more like a Bluetick Coonhound to me, but she has a very pointery head. I have forwarded the link to my GSP group as there are people on there who know their way round all the hunt-point-retrieve breeds, and will await their opinions with interest.

- BC: They are vey good at rehoming from the pound or will find a Breed rescue.
Dogs that have done there 7 days are always put on here or run past me for a match.
Not sure where the rest go but suspect like any other Pound where there is space and have used Teckles in Stroud.
Hope that answers your question, if you need to know anything else BC then please contact me, you have my email addy as we have spoken before.
NB: outside of Swindon they tend to go to RSPCA Bath Dogs and Cats HomeLast edited: 2011-01-22 20:25:58 by Reynard - 2011-01-22 17:09 BC

- Dog wardens report came in as pointer cross or hound cross so that it how we have listed - I have emailed warden with helpers suggestion so if a call come in for a GBDG they are aware

- I feel strongly that it is unwise to hazard a guess at a dog's breed on this site because if someone has lost a Grand Bleu de Gascogne they will not click on to look at a found "pointer cross."

- She does look very much like a grand bleu de gascogne. If she is, they are a very rare breed and i'm sure somebody will be looking for her!

- Could this be a Grand Bleu de Gascogne. Someone must be missing this beautiful girl. Have emailed the lady in charge of welfare for this breed just in case she can help to trace owner.Last edited: 2011-01-20 19:06:05 by SuzeeBee
