beardies in need
No Sheila it wasnt the new owner who lost him.
He will be going to a nice new home soon.
Spindle
Welcome back Harry, so pleased he is safe now.
Sheila
Oh that is good news. Will he be going back to the owners who lost him? You mentioned finding a new home....
I big slap on the back for all those who were involved in feeding him and giving him shelter etc.

Safe at last Harry - thankyou Jim. Liz xx
DogLostAngus

Great news!! Hope he finds a new home soon. Well done to Jim for all his help - he can now get his life back to normal too x
BonBon
Fantastic news. Have been watching his page several times a day in the hope of good news. So pleased Harry is now safe after his adventure. Enjoy your new home, Harry, and no more running off. Carole

Harry was safely found at the weekend, thanks to all the kind people, it wont be long before
hes in a new beardie home.
Sheila
I live in Old Windsor so if there is anything I can do - even you catch him & he needs fostering until his owners can get back into the area email me

Harry is returning several times a day for food and seems to be sleeping in a shed. He doesn't bolt now when he sees Jim, just watches him. Martyn from Canine Search going on Sat to assess and probably set up a trap. Fingers crossed for a happy ending...
Sheila
Great to hear - let's hope Jim's manages to gain Harry's trust. I wonder if the current owner has contacted the original owners with a view to their coming down and trying to lure him. This may be out of order though as I have no idea why he was passed on in the first place - but just a thought....

Well done Belinda, thats happy news he has been sighted
BonBon
Just logged in to see if there was any news and delighted and relieved to read your update, Belinda. Thank you. In view of your comments I will not venture over that way tomorrow as I originally posted I would. Fingers crossed Harry settles in 'his' garden and is gradualy coaxed into Jim's house. However, if you do need any extra help, please post on here and I will do my best to get over to assist in any way I can. Carole

So pleased to read this belindasteer. Yep, keep strangers at bay, gain his trust. If you end up needing to consider a dog trap please get my mobile from head office and we will try and help you. Good luck. Softly Softly aproach I think.

Spent the day at Runnymede today leafleting and talking to locals. There have been several sightings of Harry over the past few days and one chap has been feeding him. I saw Harry several times today, he actually came to me at one point and sniffed a sweetie, but resisted being secured, panicked and started biting so I had to let him go. Happily he bolted straight back to "his" garden. As a result Bob Manning and I now know where Harry has set up "camp". He is being fed and monitored by Jim who owns the garden. He has several outhouses and will continue feeding him and put down bedding etc and will report back to us three times a day. We feel that it's best to let Harry settle and calm down, so the fewer people bothering him the better - we don't want to scare him away from the safe garden. I think the lovely Jim may quickly gain his trust and lure him indoors - time will tell. Hope for more good news soon, Belinda

have put severel messages on facebook and will continue to repeat them daily,
Spindle
No more updates or sighting of Harry. Please call immediately if seen. Maybe an evening barbie will draw him out if still in area he ran off in.
snowmead
I'm hoping to get out tonight to look for this poor boy... I do hope he hasn't gone far...
Sheila
BTW the owner and dog were passing through & stopped off for a wee and stretch so the dog does not know where he is or have any points to run to. Just thought I would point this out as he could just walk for miles rather than stay in the area.
Sheila
I have just alerted some friends / neighbours as I live in Old Windsor where the boy was lost. The more eyes open the better....
Spindle
Old windsor battersea already know.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Would Battersea at Old Windsor be the nearest rescue? Might be an idea to inform them if haven't done so already incase he is picked up and taken there.
Dusty
I have just thought if people cannot reach me on 02086790853 then call my mobile 07777628894 because I may be out walking my dogs.John Rhodes
Dusty
Thank you for all the help I am Getting from all you lovely people. I cannot at the moment get back to Runnymede. But will give it two or three days then go over one evening and night if he has not been rescued. I feel such a fool for letting this happen and do feel that the help is wonderful John Rhodes

I emailed local vets last night (I used to live there so know the area) plus the local paper. Bellmead well aware as one of their staff happened to be there yesterday when he bolted. She and her husband have been out looking, it was the husband who spotted him this morning (I believe). Just called Martin Soar - waiting on call back. People out looking again now.

I have contacted the Highways Agency, Runnymead Dog Warden (who is well aware and also deals with local street cleansing) Windsor Farm Shop and the Crown Estate (who had already been passed the details by the Farm Shop) and have also left a message with Windsor and Maidenhead. Good to see there are sightings.

Thanks carole!
BonBon
Thanks Jayne - thought it was worth asking as the numbers shown aren't even local ones. If my situation changes before Wednesday I will get over to the Windsor area to help but hope he is found safe and well before then.
Carole

The numbers are for bearded collie rescue who are some way from where harry went from but they are in touch by mobile to local helpers.
BonBon
Annoyingly, I can't get out to help until Wednesday but obviously hoping Harry will have been found safe and well before then. Assume someone is manning the landline numbers above or are they being redirected to a mobile? Keep safe Harry.

Bumped due to sightings around the cafe. One of the bearded collie club members is taling her bitch on heat to the area in the hope of enticing Harry.
Spindle
Spoken to owner. Harry ran off from the gardens Cafe on staines road, runnymede. He does NOT know this area at all and will be frightened. All authorities notified, posters going up all around. Please phone immediately if seen. Has been seen first on Towpath and also in factory yard, then near a restaurant. Search party out now. Good luck. Do not chase just call please.
