OK, just had a phonecall from a couple on holiday in the area, and they were walking near Blythburgh yesterday, when they saw a dog resembling Abi. This dog had no owner but would not come near the couple when they tried to entice it. At the time, they were walking on a footpath where dogs were supposed to be kept on leads. They had parked down a track that went from Blackheath to Blyford Bridge. The footpath went along the riverside but had heathland to one side, and it was on the heathland that they saw 'Abi'.
If this was Abi, then she has obviously travelled a long way, but could I please ask anyone familiar with this particular area, to keep an eye open for her?
I should also let you all know that Duncan has had a mild heart attack and is in hospital at the moment, so I will not be letting him know anything about this latest call, as I'm sure the stress of missing Abi and searching for her still, will have contributed to his current health problem...

Hi, just checking whether this dog could be Abi, but cannot see any photo? Yes, Abi was chipped, but I guess something could have happened to this. Abi has very distinctive ears. I will contact the dog warden today, and thanks to Janni0706 for the alert.

I can confirm that this is not Willow sadly. The dog I found did not have any white markings at all.

Is there any possibility this may be Willow, ID 19802? She has been missing from Stanstead Abbots SG12 for over a year now. I believe that Willow was chipped, whereas this dog is not. Maybe the chip has moved, I believe it can happen now and again. Fingers crossed her owners come forward, even better news if it is Willow.

I had the dog scanned today and unfortunately had no ID chip. It is believed that she is an abandoned coursing dog. Unfortunately dues to my circumstance I was unable to keep the dog and she is now in the care of the North Herts Dog Warden who can be contacted via the Local Council on 01462 474000
