- So sorry to hear about Diggy xx It gets me so mad when I hear of the Farmers shooting the dogs! why don't they just scare them off instead of shooting to kill. If the sheep was being attacked, it's more understandable, but all the farmer had to do was fire his gun into the air!

- Thanks for the offer of help that is really kind of you greatdanewelfare. We have combed the area around us and in particular in the woods where he went missing but he is still gone. We are beginning to think he has been stolen as nobody has seen him and he is known in the village where we live and also knows the area really well. He also hasn't turned up in any vets or police stations or cat and dog homes. We are going to pay a visit to them in the week and also contact ann at petsearch -thanks for the recommendation. I hope he's safe. We really miss him.

- If you can get a few friends and go looking rabbit and fox holes and dens as he being a terrier will no doubt go to ground without thinking twice. If we at great dane welfare and small furrys come across him we will of course contact you.I also recommend you go look at local cat and dog homes as you know your dog they quite often make mistakes at rescue centres seen it a million times before dogs been there for ages despite owner phoning and animal being chipped.Id also contact ann at petsearch if you havent already and keep an eye oout on hunting forums and free papers website in case someone tries to sell him on if we can help even come and give you a hand looking holes and what not let me know
