- Well everyone... what a day!!! I'm pleased to say that yes it's true, Rocco is safe and well. The finders were lovely, doggy people - he was dumped in woods near Tesco, Gillingham, and fortunately for him was seen by them when they were walking their own dogs. He has been looked after but would not appear to have been out much... he has just been to the vet where I met Lucy, and Sue, and we all had a bit of a tear in our eyes. He also has a brand new chip and his first vaccination again. I cannot thank those who helped enough - you're all too many to mention but Sue, Dan and Gareth you were stars - Pheobe and Tracey - wow so many of you who helped get Rocco home safe and well. Let's not forget we still don't have an arrest for the crime but the important thing is that tonight, Rocco is back where he belongs. Thank you - from the bottom of my heart I'm one happy Doglost Coordinator tonight. Thank you. xxx

- My grooming lady was convinced she saw Rocco this morning - he's grown a little bit. He was with a young hoodie lad who was with a woman pushing a pram in Strood in the area we've been looking for him. She phoned the owner so hopefully followed up.

- The interest in Rocco's facebook page is amazing... trying hard to keep up but it's going viral very very quickly. Someone knows who the two in the CCTV picture are... and it won't be long before we find them, I'm sure. Local press have now picked up the story and Lucy is contacting them to take this forward. Come on everyone - share the group on facebook and lets ID those thieves!

- Just looked at the FB page, have asked people in area so far no luck though a few have asked for a pic so will be doing some posters later today. Will now include the cctv pic, see if it jogs any memories , its the trainer laces that bug me, def seen similar worn down the High street a few weeks back.

- Lucy I'm told Rocco was in Friday's Kent Messenger (page 19) but they're interested in running another story with the CCTV in. Am assuming this is ok by you. :)

- Hi Lucy - I've just been told copy is going over to various papers tonight so hopefully we'll see some press soon - don't be surprised if you get calls from journalists. I've had another idea but need to check it out with a police officer before I do it... will talk to you tomorrow about it.

- Hi everyone, I'm Roccos owner..We are very greatful for any help with finding Rocco!! There is lots of evidence with our case so hopefully these lads will be caught asap and we can get Rocco back where he belongs!!
- 2011-01-31 20:29 Sherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator
- It was roughly the size of two shoe boxes put on top of each other, white in colour. You'd notice it if it were left somewhere.
- 2011-01-31 18:14 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- How big was the safe?
- 2011-01-31 14:46 Sherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator
- The thieves ran towards Elaine Avenue, where they were seen by a witness getting into a blue coloured car, possibly a Peugeot, outside the shop by the school. Did anyone see this car or the occupants?
- 2011-01-31 14:35 Sherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator
- PS there are also fingerprints taken from the scene and the CCTV shows two youths, one carrying a safe, the other Rocco. They can't have gone far from the property (Lancelot Road) with a heavy white safe. If anyone finds the safe, please let us know because that too is evidence that can link in the thieves. Please let us know if it's found - alleyways, fields etc.
- 2011-01-31 14:33 Sherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator

- Yes, Sylv... thanks for your help - should also be in the KM this week. With the CCTV the theives might as well hand him back 'cos there's no way we're giving up IDing them!!
