I have re-posted to Facebook page "Rhodesian Ridgeback UK Lost & Found" - Sheila (FB page admin). Hope the dear little soul is found soon.

We're so sorry Emerly still hasn't been seen. We were out for 5 hours on both Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th putting posters up in a very wide area. Also there were many people out walking dogs as the days were sunny. We spoke to them all and asked them to pass the word along. We hoped that by now someone would have some news of her. We're still continuing to search. We do hope she's safe and that she'll be back with her owner before too long. Lots of love to Emerly. Owl we hope your rib is better now and that Wispa is well.Last edited: 2011-02-21 22:26:17 by Dudley

Didn't realize Emerly was bleeding after being attacked by dogs. She had puncture wounds in her shoulder. Wish we knew where she was.

Dudley, thanks for that. Wispa is fine now thanks, it just happened to be her 4th consecutive day tracking various dogs and her brain must have been spinning! We are now out of action for a few days at least as I have a cracked rib which makes handling her very difficult, so I am glad you and yours are continuing to search the area.

Dudley many thanks for helping with postering and searching for Emerly ! We desperately need some positive sightings of this girl so please poster ANYWHERE you feel relevant as Emerly could have gone in any direction by now and it may be that with the lack of any sightings she is in an area where no postering has been done yet.Last edited: 2011-02-07 23:42:52 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Thank you Owl, that's very useful. Emerly could have taken the underpass into the conservation area by now perhaps, I'm relieved she didn't have to cross the by pass above, or she could have gone the other way into Birley Spa. We will put posters up in both areas tomorrow. We can also alert the rangers if they're working in the area. Let's hope she's safe and well and soon returned to her owner. Lots of love and hugs for Emerly. Our two Labs think all this meandering around is great fun! PS, we hope Wispa is all right after his/her tiring day and would love to know more about him/her.

Hi Dudley, thanks for your help. We tracked her from the western end of Rainbow Road on to a footpath which runs parallel to the A57. The trail ran eastward along this path, in and out of woodland and green spaces which lie between the A57 and the gardens of Carr Forge Rd and Dyke Vale Rd and especially around the stream below the electricity substation. There is a pedestrian underpass going under the A57 but we didn't find scent there at the time so didn't chase that up.

Hope this dog is safe as I am very worried about her

We have been walking our dogs in the Shire Brook Valley Conservation area, between Hackenthorpe and Woodhouse, this morning, hoping for a sighting of this dog. There aren't any posters anywhere so could this mean the dog didn't head for this area? It would be the most obvious place although the dog would have had to cross a busy bypass. We wonder if the dog is trying to get home as she apparently doesn't live in the area she went missing from? If Owl could let us know where Wispa had tracked her to we will continue looking every day. Would it help if we put up posters in the Shire Brook Valley? We could manage quite a few if that would help.

I have been out all day searching undergrowth in the area to which Wispa tracked this girl day before yesterday. Wispa worked with me all morning but although there were bits of scent all round that area we could not find her. At lunchtime I took a tired Wispa home and came back by myself to search until dark. Very difficult area to search as full of undergrowth, brambles, thorn bushes etc. Armed with gardening gloves I explored all the thickets I could find but sadly no luck.

Have spoken to owner this morning as Im known to them. Posters already up in area, Kate WW isnt far away & Owl already helping. Owner has been out searching since she run off but has own health issues that are causing some problems.
Please do not approach if sighted - call Nigel. Have already told him that trap is in the area if she is spotted.
She could well be lying low during day been a nervous dog, and not used to the area.
