On behalf of Dolly Dot and my poor friends with whom Dolly was staying when she had her 'adventure', thank you all so much for all your help, info and support. I can't even begin to described how relieved I am to have Dotty back safely and just wish everyone could have the same sort of happy ending.
Thank you. Sarah [Dolly Dot's mum in Wiltshire]Last edited: 2011-02-10 20:22:20 by TTT

Right TTT in basic terms scenting is done by collecting your wee in perhaps a bottle and sprinkle it from where you think she is and make a route to your front door or garden. If it is quite a way make a den so that you can contain her movements on the way home with some smells she knows ie. socks clothes etc. Hopefully the more experience doglost team can give you more info. shortly or get in touch with admin and they will be able to help. Good luck.

Hi Nina. What are the scenting instructions? That would be good to have. We took one of her doggy friend's down there yesterday and, being a good boy, he pee'd everywhere he could so am hoping she will pick up his smell. If we knew the area she was holed up in I would go there with an old coat and hope she came to it.

Has anyone given scenting instructions perhaps if you contact admin they could be sent out. Good luck.

Dolly Dot was seen in the area before it got dark but no-one was able to get near her, she is panicking. They are hoping she will have found shelter and holed up for the night. Her owner drove down to arrive at first light to help with the search.

This is my friend's dog. I have Manchester Terriers too and they are quite shy and can be difficult to get hold of if they are suspicious. Most of them love food. I am too far to be able to help but have cross posted to facebook. Stay safe Dolly Dot and come home soon for your mum xxx
