- Thanks everyone! Holly is happy and healthy, no problems at all. I've donated to both the doglost website and the kennels who took her in. I'll be checking out any poster alerts that come my way. Thanks again, we're delighted!

Well done Witchy-poos.xx
Homeless Hounds also list the dogs on the RHU forum and I try to check them against our missing ones on here. - 2011-02-05 22:52 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Well done witchypoos! thanks for taking the time to check the dogs against missing ones on Doglost!

- Great news!!! I'm so glad she's home :-) The site was set up by a group of people running a rescue called Homeless Hounds & basically they work really hard to get all the dogs out of this pound & safely into rescues/homes/holding places (and do an awesome job!!) I help by checking the dogs that come in against the listings here on Doglost & notifying owners of any possible matches.
Very sad that neither the dog warden or the kennels had checked for the microchip, but we do know this happens. All the dogs on the site are listed as soon as they arrive at the kennels or very soon after & yes the 'rehoming' date is the date that they can be adopted/taken into rescue, or in the worst case scenario PTS :-(.
This site is amazing & definately the best place to get help if your Doggie goes missing!! :-) - 2011-02-05 21:02 Reynard
- Yipeeeee do dah!!!! Spee please update your microchip details, she could have been stolen as Spaniel theft is rife and never leave her or any dog unatended, sumbags are everywhere!
Please give Holly a big hug fro me xxx - 2011-02-05 18:24 ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland
- Brilliant news, welcome home Holly. On looking at the link - the photos are of found dogs currently in the pound/kennels and the dates on their photos are the dates that they can be rehomed from if not claimed.Dogs taken into pounds/kennels do not have to be scanned for a microchip sadly, and sometimes even if they are they are often missed due to various reasons-even as simple as the scanner battery being low. Good spot Witchy-poos! Well done and thank you for helping get Holly safely home xxxLast edited: 2011-02-05 18:26:55 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland

- I'm confused! If Holly has only just gone missing, what is she doing being put up for rehoming? also if Holly is chipped why had the chip details not been found and owner contacted?
pleased you have her home safely tho! - 2011-02-05 17:21 Unknown
- Brilliant news - stay safe now Holly. Liz xx

- Thank you so much for the call Witchy-poos! It was Holly alright! She's home and safe now, she'd walked a couple of miles into town and was picked up on the main shopping Street in Accrington! Or taken and left down there, who knows, all that matters is she's back. Donation to the cause on the way! Thanks again everyone on here, a brilliant site, I'm going to help on here whenever I can.

- Hi Spee. Is there any way at all the clip could have come undone by itself and she's wandered off? Perhaps she's got shut in someone's garden or a shed or something? I would make sure you get lots os posters up and even put them through neighbours letterboxes asking them to check their gardens, sheds etc. Posters really are the key to getting her back. Wish I was closer to help you. Hope she's home soon xx

- Thanks people. Really worried about her, she's stupidly friendly, anyone could walk off with her. I keep thinking I hear her bark! Its 04.20, can't sleep, I'll be out looking again at first light. It's the not knowing that hurts the most.
