- We are currently trying to trap a stray Lurcher near Harlow in Essex. He is a big boy, fawn, but as we ourselves have not sighted him yet we can't say whether he is light or cream. He is wearng a proper Lurcher collar. He is upwards of 26" at the shoulder. Jenny. SOUTHERN LURCHER RESCUE. 07940 555 574Last edited: 2011-09-12 11:07:16 by Mimsmum-SOUTHERN LURCHER RESCUE

- REF 27936. As Lynsyd pointed out on the found poster reference, he only difference is in one post he is described as a Saluki and the other is described as a Lurcher cross, but they look like the same dog to me. Hope someone chases it up.

- a lurcher/poss saluki cross has been found in BN8 East Sussex which is a popular dumping ground for stolen dogs. It looks similar to Landy's colouring so think it's worth checking out - It's on NMPR Will text you with the info just incase you don't see this. Good Luck

- I know it's not what anybody likes to hear but I got this email on Dogwatch this week. Hopefully it's not Landy as it is a fair distance away - A dead lurcher/greyhound was found under a hedge at a farm at Britwell Hill near Watlington on 7 March. It is light in colour and has no collar. Police alerted. Contact: 07831 811786.

- Tried to contaqct owners ,nothing atm

- I know this is a long shot but I don't suppose the found Saluki ref28032 (Hadley) could possible be Landy! It's difficult to tell from Landy's photo & possibly the tail isn't the same as Hadley's but stranger things have happened! It would be good if Landy's owner could post on here from time to time with updates. I did text to suggest they put Landy on the NPR but so far they haven't

- Owner lost Landy on a public footpath at Strafield Saye.He ran off and didnt come back which is very unususal. Ive emailed out advice sheets . Owner has posted in many places already, and alerted lots of people. I suggested she tried media coverage too.

- I've cropped and made the photo a bit darker, hopefully it is better than the original one which I've moved to the Extra Image box and will do until another one is supplied. Keeping everything crossed Lindy is found soon and we see him in the blue soon. Good luck. Jan x

- The area should read Stratfield Saye, the nearest big town is Reading Berks. Do we know the circumstances of how Landy went missing - is it possible he has been stolen? Did he have a collar with a tag on it? Where have posters been put so far? Has there been any sightings? There was another Lurcher called Lucky (14458) who went missing quite a while ago and it was presumed stolen by some men with Irish accents? Lucky was the only dog in the house to be stolen --- has there been any suspicious people around? When I postered for Lucky I took one to Wellington Country Park and as it is so close it would be a good idea to put one up there. I will happily help with postering if you need help. Fingers crossed Landy is home soon. Has Landy been put on the National Pet Register?

- I am in Tadley area and will make sure that I let people know around here. I will print poster (black and white unfortunately) and put it up on my regular walk tomorrow (Englefield Estate). Hope you find him soon.

- Sorry to see that LANDY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (27936)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
