- Thank you very much my dear friends for helping .
I was in the two largest places where they keep dogs for a week or so. Nobody saw Monchito there. All the area and around has been postered . Every day, dozens people at the market, in the park, and many other places ask if Monchito comes back home. Nobody saw him.. - 2011-02-23 09:07 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- I have added new photos (above) and sent out an updated poster to Scottish rescues. Will do updated posters and fliers for owner if required.

- Stella, I called Animal wardens twice yesterday also to ask them to change Monchito's status to LOST and they said they would, but it was not done, and is still not done.If you could please add photos to Monchito's page that are close ups of him,or give a real view of what he looks like, it would be helpful. He was also on Alfie's Lost dogs as FOUND, so one of our Doglost helpers has posted on there to say that he is still lost and I have emailed them to also let them know.

- AmimalWardens did not correct their mistake. They still have Monchito in the Found List, what is false, what is wrong.

To all people from this website (DogLOst), once and again: Thank you Very Much! - 2011-02-18 01:26 Stella
- Dear DogLost people, from now, I will write down here if you request more details, documents, data, pictures, etc. Or to report that Monchito was found. Thanks a lot, again, for your unvaluable help, sending mails, calling by phone, and showing everyday your empathy. I will not stop looking for Monchito. Thank you very much!

- Dear people, I have many pics of Monchito. If you like that I rotate the extra image once a week, I can do it.
I read all your emails (this is me who manages all about Internet), but I always prefer that other person, a local one, speaks to you. I'll print the poster, and distribute them in the places that you suggested. Same with the fliers. Your poster is also in Facebook now: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=679550916
Thank you very much! - 2011-02-17 14:28 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Animal Warden site told me they would change Monchito's details to Lost, but it has not been done, so I have called them again. There were a lot of Scottish dogs on there too who had been re-united with their owners and were still listed as lost. I cannot see what use this site is, if nobody updates the dogs and also lists the dogs as found when they are lost. It is just causing confusion. I do not think that anyone from Doglost GAVE the information. It must have been taken from the site and entered incorrectly. - Stella, I informed them this morning after querying the FOUND dog, that Monchito is still missing. So sorry he has not been found ,but it is likely that someone has taken him in. I have sent fliers and a new poster with 2 photos on to your husband and the quicker you both can get out with them, the better. I sent an email with a lot of advice on it as the best places to use the posters and fliers for best effect.

- This is what people can see in wardens, right now. MONCHITO IS LISTED AS FOUND. They answered our 2nd calling saying that they ' dont deal with dogs lost in Scotland, and that could be an error'
I feel really desperate, because that answer means null. I feel paralyzed. They dont know if Monchito was found or if he is still lost. This is the ad at wardens: 225873

We spoke to Linda, who is very kind. She assured that this is a mistake , and doglost will take care of that ASAP.
Thank you very much for all your helping! Much appreciated. I almost cannot see the screen, I can't stop crying. Sorry if my words are not enough kind to you. English is not my first language, and my tears dont help too much.

nikkic and Deb4gsd,
Monchito is STILL LOST.
thank you very much for your concerns!

- We called to the 0845 241 7253 . A woman there answered that they ' don't deal with lost dogs in Scotland'.
If you dont call them to down the mistaken announce , and requesting that they up Monchito only as LOST, we have MOnchito who is missing, in 2 lists, as lost and as found. That lady said they received from 'doglost' the news abt these cases, and you should call them to ask the rectification . We will call you right now to solve any possible misunderstanding Thank you!Last edited: 2011-02-17 14:26:31 by Stella - 2011-02-17 13:30 Stella
- We went to the only one vet in Blantyre today. All our neighbors are alert. Monchito played with their dogs. They love MOnchito.
---
I hit the link, and now we are calling the phone number there, I cannot understand the confusion. How could they know my dog is Monchito if he didnt have his collar on? Answering to you , using this via, in some minutes. - 2011-02-17 13:23 Stella
- Hi to Sable Co-Ordinator Scotland. MONCHITO is STILL missing. No news about him. It's like him vanished in the air. I up him in the LOST list, never in the found list. Our home is covered by sadness... If we found Monchito, my first action will be up the new here, as it should be done. Thank you!

- Yes, it is on the wrong menu. He is registered as a lost dog and is on the found list. He has NOT been found.I have also updated their website by letting them know of all the dogs that are home and safe, but still listed as missing.
- 2011-02-17 08:34 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Thanks nikkic, I will check this out ASAP, but I have a feeling it is a lost dog and not found, as on the site.

- nikkic, I just let the owners of Taz (Plummer Terrier)know that Taz was listed as Found on Animal wardens site. Sadly, after they phoned up to enquire, it turns out that the listing was a mistake and meant to be under 'Lost' and not 'Found'........I just hope this is not the same thing happening again! :(
- 2011-02-16 22:06 nikkic
- he is listed on animal wardens as found

- We called the police, and the kennels. We have been covering all your advices . We postered all our home area since the day that Monchito vanished. Monchito is very (too much) friendly, he follows all people, and he likes to play all time. He moves his little tale all day. When his tail is down it is a clear syntom that he is sick. He goes sick easily when feels sad. He understand Spanish and English as well. People believe that Monchito is a very young wired fox terrier. He is a vegetarian dog (only way to controll is high level allergy) . Monchito cannot receive more than one dosis of anti allergic medicine via injection. If he eats meat , he vomits and suffers diarrhea.Last edited: 2011-02-16 19:57:53 by Stella

- Sorry to see that MONCHITO is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (28050)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
