Brilliant news that Mr T was caught today. We took the trainer with us to Nazeing who bred him and has known him from birth, we came across Mr T by chance as he had stopped for a sunbathe. He recognised the trainer who he loves and let him put a lead on him. He seems fine, although very thin he will soon chunk up now he's home. Thank you so much everyone for your help, you were brilliant.

Oh I am so excited! I was trying to plot Mr T's triangle last night and saw that Nazeing was between Epping Green and Roydon, and was wondering whether he was going through or round it! Now we know his route, at least some it. I couldn't poster the Roydon station last night - I tried - so I postered up the road and put them on cars outside the pubs and thru pub letterboxes. I'm not quite sure, but I suspect Mr T is at the Roydon Hamlet part of Roydon so well away from the trains! This would be his route to take in Nazeing, I suspect. Oh, Mr T's Daddy, you are so close. You will get him back! Do you know what time this sighting was? Was it night or early morning, you'll have to camp out! Remember he may not know it is you at first, if you see him, so go carefully. But if he is accepting food from a lady, he is still okay with humans. Take a BBQ and cook smelly food as this often works! I am so excited he has been seen! Well done with all the work you did and continue to do. It is working! He could be going along Broadley Common, Epping Green, Roydon Hamlet, Nazeing - by the Church maybe? That is a triangle! Keep plotting it. DogLost staff can tell you what you need to do, if they haven't aready. Made me very happy! I'm going to poster and door drop some more tonight towards Nazeing, Ada Cole and the church Kim xLast edited: 2011-02-24 14:04:29 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

Dad lives in Nazeing and walks his dog on the fields everyday will ask him to keep a look out

Great news about the sighting.

It would be good to see if this lady is willing to put food out regularly so Mr T learns there is food there and regularly returns. Will wait for more info and to see where this is and the set up, but after a few times maybe the bowl moved into a garden will help be able to catch him.
Unknown
Poor thing - glad lady gave him some food - hope he returns there. Stay safe Mr. T. you have been out long enough. Liz xx

Apparently Mr T was sighted in Nazing today. A kind lady gave him 2 bowls of food as he looked so thin. He finished it all but then ran off. Bridg is working till late tonight so can't get there (and I live too far away) but she is going there tomorrow. Hopefully he will return to where there is food. That's all I know at the moment, no exact location yet. Stay safe Mr T xLast edited: 2011-02-23 16:14:29 by Dibbledog

You know, I think we need to poster at the railway station at Roydon. Lots of people go there and sometimes its early mornings that lost dogs are seen and the lines run through the fields. Also, you need to let the station know he's missing - you need to cover all your bases. I am sure he is just fine and surviving like dogs do in the wild, but please, check the railway stations for any news of a dog. The drivers often report a dog sighting on the tracks, sometimes they do not, but do check. You need to make the railway people aware. Give them posters and say he was sighted in Roydon. Hopefully, if Mr T is scared of cars, he will also be scared of trains, so he should be fine. From experience, if Network Rail workers see or find a dog, and there are posters everywhere, someone will let you know. If there are no posters they might not think. I am sure he is just bedding down during the day somewhere he likes that is safe and coming out at night. I'll go out tonight. xLast edited: 2011-02-23 13:20:08 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

Thank you kimmybear, any help would be brilliant, I can't believe we haven't been able to find him yet. The last sighting was Old House Lane in Roydon, its not too far from the back of Epping Green where he was originally sighted and its all across fields which makes sense as he's wary of cars. I spent 4 hours in this area yesterday, putting up posters and putting leaflets through peoples doors, I also checked woods and fields, its so odd that no-one has reported seeing him anymore since last week, I wonder if someone has caught him and maybe doesn't know he's lost, so more posters everywhere is good. Could you put reward on your poster please, we just so want him back.

I'm going to poster in Harlow by Jack's Hatch, and woods etc near Cemetery as that is close to Epping Green. Will also go to Roydon, although I thought that may be a bit far away but you never know? I didn't have computer for a week and didn't know Mr T was missing till this week, but if you need a search party at the weekend or of you have plotted possible triangle course, pls let me know and I can stake out part of the triangle. I am happy to drive to Epping or wherever, if I know. I work during the day though. Come on Mr T, your Daddy needs you back home. Great to hear about the possible sighting.....fingers crossed, hope you get some more calls from the posters.
Bridg
Had a phone call from the posters in Epping yesterday morning to say a black bitch had been picked up in Epping. Had arranged to continue searching the forest but felt this may have been the sighting last monday. We then got another call from someone who had seen poster in Harlow to say that one day last week he saw a black greyhound in Roydon in the area between Reeves Lane and Old House Lane. This sounds feasable as seen the week B4 in Epping Green and back of Harlow and this all links up. We searched the fields behind a bridle way near Reeves Lane and its quite flat and lots of places to hide, there is also a guy who keeps a few greyhounds in kennels in his garden who Mr T may have been attracted to. He is away at the moment so I put a poster through his letterbox. We put up posters in the area and spoke to a few neighbours to keep an eye out.
Bridg
I have to work in the morning but Emma and myself are aiming to continue searching about 1pm. Thinking of going to forest entrance at Thornwood and working our way up towards hospital.
kris
he was never going to show himself with all that rain today - he will be dug down somewhere. tomorrow is supposed to be dry - so we stand a chance of a sighting
Unknown
Where are you Mr.T? we need you home asap
kris
am free about 10.30 sun morning - where are you meeting to start searching? it might be better if we split up the area.
Emma
Looked for Mr T today in woods in coopersale and opposite hospital but no sign. Please update if you see anything!

Mr T's Dad will be out searching for him today as well, Thank you we would really appreciate more help, as you know he was last seen on edge of epping forest by St Margarets Hospital so maybe using cover of the forest to feel safe. We will be looking in the forest today. He was originally sighted around Epping Green area but someone has been looking for him around that area everyday since he disappeared and no luck. He is unlikely to venture near roads as scared of cars and very wary of strangers and although friendly will be frightened. He likes other dogs though and may go up to your dogs.

Thanks Kris, I will alert owners to your message. I know they are desperate to get Mr T back so I am sure would be extremely grateful of any help you are able to offer.
kris
please let us know if you are organising a sweep at the weekend - and some of us will get out with hounds
we will check here sat am

Thanks all. Owner has been out looking in the area Diane sighted the dog on Monday.
All relevant people alerted, and posters gone up. Mr T was wearing his collar, no lead, and went missing whilst on a walk. He is nervous - if seen please call.
Diane
Have only just seen that Mr T is missing. I saw a black greyhound type dog on Monday morning on my way to work. It was near the edge of the woods opposite St Margarets hospital. I know this is quite afew days ago but thought I'd let you know anyway. Good luck on finding this lovely boy
Emma
whittingham kennels are aware of this missing dog i will be at these kennels at the weekend as well an around the area so will keep my eyes peeled hopefully he is found very soon do we no if he had a lead or anything attached to himxx
samburns
Further to Essex girl's post: in Galley Hill there is not only Whittingham Kennels, but also Barley Kennels and I think its called Cleggan Kennels, which all rehome greyhounds and also the RSPCA kennels where the Epping pound is also located (owned by Hilary Lockyer) so try all of them maybe? I'll be up there at the weekend so will spread the word. I so hope Mr T is found soon...let me know if you need any help postering/searching.
