- Well, Consett is a small place so I am sure it won't be long before someone finds out who he is. Stupid thing is though, why try selling her back to me for 150 when he could have easily sold her for 600, stupid man. Not that I wanted him to but you would think he would use his brain! And fancy using a registered sim card to text and call with! Maybe he thought I wouldn't go to the police.
Well Nana is laying by the fire now, she had her bath earlier and now smells lovely and looks clean again! I love french bulldogs, I still might get one but want to wait until Nana is a bit older and more calm because she loves to jump all over other dogs and I am scared she will hurt one without meaning to, the big lump lol. We'll have to take the dogs for a walk one day :) - 2011-02-24 17:58 stephchanel

- And yeah, you probably will have seen her when she was a pup. She doesn't tend to go unnoticed now either because she has kept a fair few of her wrinkles and looks unbelievable stupid hahaha. Anyone who sees her always has a stroke of her and they think she is fab, there are a lot of misconceptions about sharpei's so I am glad Nana is a sharpei making a difference! x
- 2011-02-24 15:59 Looking4Nana
- I wouldn't have minded giving a reward although I was thinking more along the lines of flowers or a drink haha. Who can pull out that kind of money just like that?? I was never gonna give into his demands although I would have met with him just to see if he had the dog but I wouldn't have gone alone. Rachel, were you walking down front street earlier, I saw a lady with 2 french bull dogs while I was out taking Nana's posters down. Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled x

- Glad to hear she's home safe and sound!
Cant believe some people can be so selfish to expect money for finding someone's beloved pet. It's sick. - 2011-02-24 15:36 Deb4gsd
- Brilliant news......especially as Nana is still in the 'lost' section, so wasn't expecting to see her back home! :)

- I had a call this morning from a fella wanting money for the return of Nana. After a few texts trying to bargain an amount with me, I went to the police and Nana is now home safe and sound if not a bit smelly. She is so pleased to be home bless her and we are all over the moon. Just want to say thank you to all at doglost.co.uk for all the info, advice, help and support. What a great site! I will be pleased to be a dog lost helper and help anyone else who finds themselves in this situation. Now off to bath my smelly girl (after she has finished eating her pigs ear!) and we are off out for a walk to take down posters and thank the nice shop keepers that have been so lovely to us x Thanks again!

- Looking4Nana, I've emailed you some info/advice and Scenting Instructions.
BUMPED due to sightings. - 2011-02-23 21:07 Looking4Nana
- Thanks Majorjet, I am going to look through for some better photos of her. The one of her standing is more like how she is but it's a bit distant. Most of the good ones of her that I have she has something on that the kids have put on her like a princess dress and head bands or hats and she isn't likely to be walking round consett in that get up lol I will look for a close up picture of her though and update asap.
- 2011-02-23 21:04 Looking4Nana
- Thanks stephchanel, I had thought about that one too. I bet some scruffy git will soon have her on preloved or adtrader and god help them. Although she isn't chipped, she will go absolutely mental when she sees me so it's all the proof I need when it comes to proving she is mine. I would really love to offer a reward but realistically, it would be a small one so I haven't yet but I am gonna try and raise a proper amount and see if that helps a bit. Shereen, thanks - I have been looking on there too and I also rang them yesterday and first thing this morning to see if they had heard or seen anything but they hadn't. I will keep checking though, thank you for looking and thanks for the link x

- A lady from the council rang me at about 5pm saying she had had a call from a lady who saw what she thinks was a sharpei running around behind the civic centre on medomsley road, consett just by the war memorial. I went straight down and scoured the park and fields but no sign, we have postered all over that area too and also stopped and asked people and dog walkers if they had seen her but with no luck. I knocked on some doors once I ran out of posters and people said they will keep an eye out for her. Also had a man chase me up the road with a poster I had just stuck to a wall saying he thinks he sae her on Sherburn Terrace, Consett but again, we went there and no sign but we have postered there too. Thanks everyone that is helping and looking and posting replies x

- Thank you BT Fan x jp1987 She went missing from Palmerson Street in Consett, just behind the Barclays Bank in Front Street.
- 2011-02-23 20:38 Looking4Nana
- stephchanel, glad you got the poster. I have been out for the last 3 hours with my kids and have posted 200 through doors, plastered them to bins and bus stops and put them in pubs, sandwich shops, take aways etc and also had the kids running round middle street handing them out. Will print off another couple of hundred tomorrow and hand some more out and cover leadgate and shotley if I can x

- Which area of Consett is she missing from?
- 2011-02-23 12:49 Looking4Nana
- No news yet, we have looked all day yesterday and were out at midnight last night as someone said they saw 'a dog' wandering around but there was no sign of Nana or any other dog in that area when we got there but we did stay out for nearly an hour looking after that with no joy. Have got a poster sorted so just going out now to get some copied to put through doors and in shops and on lamp posts. Thanks everyone for your help and please keep your eyes peeled. We're missing her like mad. The sofa where she was never meant to be on but always was seems very empty :(
